This place was so freaking cute. All of the decor was so fun. Communication from the owner was above and beyond. I couldnt be happier and highly recommended.
Me first matey and I stayed here for the weekend and had a blast! The theming was excellent and loved the attention to detail. The unit was very clean and we had everything we needed. Location was excellent and near all the shops and the beach. Highlights were the octopus dishes, the barrel bathroom sink, the skull salt and pepper shaker holder, and the terrifying pirate statue outside the bedroom window on the balcony. 10/10 would stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay! It was fun with the themes, but also quiet, cozy, and conveniently close to most places in town! Will definitely be back for the other themes!

Pirates Surprise!!!
This is a excellent vacation spot. The pirate villa was decorated beyond a normal home away. The one bedroom villa was plenty of space for my family 3 boys. Enjoyed the beaches and local shopping.

Well-located, clean, comfortable spot!
Great location, walk to anything/everything. On a nice quiet dead-end street. Deer walked right up to us at the property. Lives up to the pictures on the website. Great for 2-4 adults.

Perfect location
My husband and I stayed in the Pirate Themed Villa for our anniversary weekend. The location couldn't be better! Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. We loved the pirate decor, and the owner was very nice and helpful. It has an older feel to it, but has been updated and maintained nicely.

Cute little place to stay in Ocean Shores, WA
My husband and I have two kids, ages 2.5 and 6, and we had a great time staying in this cute little place. The kids loved the pirate-themed décor, and the location is excellent--walking distance to restaurants and shops, and quick easy drive to the beach. The housekeeper was very friendly and even gave us some games for the kids to play with. Highly recommended!

Very cute and comfortable rental
My family and I really enjoyed staying at the pirate cabin last summer. The kids just asked if we could stay there again. The kids loved all of the pirate-themed décor, the cabin was very comfortable, and it was just a short walk to the beach. Alice, the manager, was super nice and was very responsive. I'm online to book this rental again for the coming summer.
We took our 8 year old and 11 month old for a pre birthday celebration and they had a blast. Our 8 year old loved the theme and pretended to be a pirate the entire weekend using the play hat(s) and toys provided. Our 11 month old was so curious what her brother was up to. It was a blast. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for the family. Felt safe. Very quiet. Close to everything.

We had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great spot- a block to the beach and a block to coffee, groceries, and shopping. You can hear the waves and the Pirate theme was so cute! We stayed with our 2 daughters (almost 4 and 4 months) it was the perfect place for a family. We can't wait to come back! The owners went above and beyond by mailing is our rain jackets that we forgot. Great place!

Old
This place was fine. It’s just very old and the neighborhood doesn’t feel safe. The grounds needed maintained and the appliances are very old and dirty.

Great vacation!
It was perfect! This rental is centrally located, we literally could walk to any place in Ocean Shores in less than 10 minutes. Very clean unit, comfortable bed, quiet setting. We had a great time. The decor is amazing! We loved the wine barrel dining table and the swing chair. Also the mood lights upstairs are great to turn on in the evening. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the lounge area after a long day at the beach and it was magical. I liked the fact that this unit has a lockbox, so we could check in at our convenience. The unit is very spacious even though it only has one bedroom. The bonus room upstairs is almost like a second room except with no door. Great vacation, will come again! Thank you!

Pirate rental
We had a fun time with the Pirate theme. The housekeeper, Julie I believe, was very helpful and friendly. There were 5 ladies and with one couch we didn't have enough seats. Julie saw us bringing in a camp chair and brought over her stuffed chair for us to use. She also loaned us her dish drainer as we didn't find one in the unit. We decided that the unit is too small for our group to use in the future.

We highly recommend this charming Pirate-Themed vacation rental!
Pirate Villa was exactly as you see in the pictures - very cute, clean and comfortable. The A-frame unit is a combination of funky mid-century architecture (built in the 1960's) with updated floors, fresh paint and décor. The spiral staircase and the A-frame construction gives the feeling that you are in a pirate ship! The hand-painted touches on the walls are charming and adds a nice touch to the other Pirate-décor. The wine barrel dining table was unique, and the sunny yellow kitchen & bathroom had vintage feel, yet were clean and well taken care of. We burned a fire log in the fireplace, which made for a cozy evening at home. Pirate Villa is located a very short distance to hotels, restaurants, gift shops, the grocery store, and the beach. The Quinault Casino was only a 10 minute drive away. The location is private and quiet, situated at the end of a Dead-End street. We enjoyed the balcony off the main bedroom too. We would definitely rent this unit again - and gave it a double thumbs up to our friends and family.

A HIDDEN GEM ... PERFECT FOR FAMILIES
WOW!!! What an amazing stay. Of course, my son absolutely adored the pirate theme - days later he was still asking when we're going back to the "pirate room". A perfect fit for our family of 4. We checked out the beach, walked to the mini golf-arcade just around the corner, shopped at the plentiful grocery store, drove to Protection Island, enjoyed the deer family walking right through the property, chatted with the neighbors, loved the smooth wifi - just plain awesome.
Kitchen had just about everything one needs to prepare a great meal - cooked for whole family and served them easily.
Couple recommendations to management:
In the kitchen - include a larger frying pan, a rice cooker and a slow cooker.
In the upstairs main bedroom - include a door stopper (the bedroom door unexpectedly slams shut when the glass door is open - almost slammed on my son)
VISITOR TIP - It wasn't obvious to us (until we had to stay in on a rainy evening ) that the tv is a "smart tv" - with apps for Netflix, Amazon video etc. So if you have a netflix account etc, hit the apps button on the tv remote, find netflix, then login into your account.
We can't wait to come back - a for sure stay next summer!
The good:
*all in on the pirate theme -- all fixtures and fittings, including a lifesize pirate dude on the upper bedroom deck that startled me about 5 times.
*Centrally located in Ocean Shores -- if you love Ocean Shores, it's walkable to beach and restaurants.
*price point is favorable
*tastefully updated -- I'd guess the A-frame was built 50+ years ago, but floors, paint, kitchen, etc. are all new and in great shape.
*if you've got little kids and it's warm, lots of play stuff in the shared yard between the buildings -sandbox and toys, etc.
The Meh/Bad:
*more "pet tolerant" than "pet friendly." If you read the small print you'll figure it out, but the list price does not include an add-on price per night/pet. So two dogs for one night almost doubles the room price.
*walls are PAPER thin. Literally -- the folks in the next unit showed up with their kids at 10 PM. Their voices were so loud and clear that I thought they had accidentally come into our unit, and went downstairs to re-direct them. Turns out, they were actually next door - but I could hear them as if there was no wall -- kids calling "dibs" on beds, then the next morning I could hear every word as the mom calmly told someone that she did not gives an "F" about whatever they'd been complaining about. I turned on the TV for background noise just so I wouldn't feel weird overhearing every single word they said. If you are AT ALL noise sensitive, this will be a big problem. They do provide ear plugs....
We stayed for the night to break up the Covid monotony for my son who loves pirates. He got such a kick out of the decor, so it was worth it to do something special for him, but I wouldn't say this was a comfortable rental that I'd want to stay in again.
First, although I knew this ahead of time, I really dislike staying anywhere that doesn't have a bathroom on the same floor as the bedroom. I was a little scared of having to use the spiral staircase in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. That's just my personal preference and not a complaint about the place, though. I ended up sleeping downstairs on the futon.
Because we weren't sure about where we wanted to sleep, we pulled out the sofa bed to check it out, and it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The comforter from the twin bed upstairs had a bad odor to it also.
Regarding the area: This unit is in a little complex with other themed units, and the complex seemed nice enough. There were play areas in a courtyard that would be good for toddlers. It's down the street from the mini golf/arcade place, which is also good if you're traveling with kids. The surrounding neighborhood isn't terrific. You won't be treated to any noteworthy views. We also made the mistake of staying on a Sunday night in the winter, and apparently Ocean Shores closes down Sunday evenings. There weren't many restaurants open. Again, not a problem with the unit, just part of the overall experience.
Overall, I felt like this was a decent place to stay if you like the pirate theme, but that's basically what you're paying for. It was cramped (like staying on a boat I guess) with lots of low ceilings (and I'm short). It didn't feel cozy or homey. I couldn't imagine staying there for more than 1-2 nights or staying with more than 2 adults. The kitchen also seemed oddly very well stocked with pots and pans but had very few plates and cups (and those were hard to reach). It was all just a little odd and uncomfortable. It wasn't bad, but it's not a place I'd recommend.
