About this property
Off Magazine St., Spacious, Charming Walk to Whole Foods, bars and shops
This charming single house was at one time a typical New Orleans "shot gun double." It was converted to a single a few years ago by the previous owner who redid the floor plan and added all the modern conveniences including an awesome kitchen, master bath with shower AND jacuzzi tub, large laundry room with sink and lots of storage, and a wine fridge in the pantry.
We are very close to the famous Audubon Zoo and Audubon Park as well as the Mississippi River view at The Fly. Walk to Whole Foods and dine at some of New Orleans' world class neighborhood restaurants.
Please inquire about stays of all duration. We also have other great properties in town. These are in the same immediate neighborhood, so if you are in a bigger group and want individual accommodations that are very close together, please consider:

Wonderful home, location, and host! This place has everything you need and is large and spacious.
Gary is extremely easy to communicate with and wants his guests to have the best stay possible.
Well-appointed home with lots of space for our group of 5 adults. Great location, very close to Magazine Street - shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Gary is a wonderful host - friendly, accommodating, and responsive to our questions. This property has everything you need for a relaxing visit to NOLA!
Stayed when visiting my daughter at Tulane. Walked to great brunch and dinner restaurants. Easy parking and access to uptown, the garden district, and downtown. Cooked for all my daughter’s friends and they loved it. Gary was super friendly, flexible, and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Clean and bright, more than fully equipped. Gary was very attentive and made himself available if we needed him. Great neighborhood, walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. 5 stars for sure!
Great house in the best part of Uptown, New Orleans! Walking distance to 50+ shops, restaurants, grocery stores and beautiful New Orleans architecture. Neighborhood was safe and clean. Plenty of space inside and out.

Perfect Stay!
An ideal location, property and host for everything we needed. The home is filled with New Orleans charm from the neighborhood to the decor. We had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend celebrating our daughter's graduation from Tulane University. Gary was friendly, informative and prompt. Thank you & we will be back and will try to stay at this property again for Jazz Fest.

Beautiful Home and Great Uptown Location
We had 6 women stay in this home over a long weekend. The home was very clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and a comfortable place to stay. The owner Gary was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants and he was always very responsive via text or phone which I appreciated.
The neighborhood is a nice area. The 6 of us walked about 10 minutes to a restaurant at around 8pm and felt safe. We were easily able to get an Uber into the French Quarter and it only cost about $10 or so. We were also able to wash clothes there which was a bonus.
I would definitely recommend this home. I couldn't be more satisfied.

This is a lovely, immaculate home in a very desirable location; walking distance off Magazine St but in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed here with extended family for our daughter's graduation and it was a perfect choice. The kitchen is beautiful and the master bedroom and bath in the front of the house are fabulous. The additional two bedrooms share a bathroom toward the back of the house and are also very nice. The front porch is a great spot for coffee or just relaxing after a busy day. We walked to activities on Magazine and took a longer walk to Audubon Park and zoo. The owner was very easy to reach when we accidentally locked ourselves out (oops) and when we requested an iron. The house is a new rental and my only suggestions would be to add a few additional items (like an iron and ironing board and serving plates and bowls in the kitchen), to make this a fabulous rental. The back patio could be a great space, with some potted plants, wall fountain or other decorations. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone visiting New Orleans.
We came down for a long weekend for parents weekend at Tulane and had a wonderful time at this location. Right from the start the host met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house so we knew where everything was. He even had the Saints game on to make it feel like home from the start. He lives nearby and let us know he would be around if we had any concerns. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and his front porch invited us to hang out at the end of the evening with a glass of wine. I would absolutely stay here again.
We loved this property. The owner was helpful and friendly and responsive. The house is super cute, clean, well-stocked and a perfect size for our family of 5. The location was perfect in uptown NOLA - easy to walk to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
This fun house had a lot of space for our family. The location is terrific, near Magazine St., Audubon Park, Tipitinas, etc. Not to mention it’s a block in either direction to the two best po’ boy shops in New Orleans: Guys and Domilise’s. Host Gary is always on call and helpful.
Gary was a tremendous host. We stayed a week and enjoyed it so much we immediately booked it again for 2 weeks. That says it all. If there are any issues Gary is all over it. Highly recommend.
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay. The house has a great location for all of Uptown and Magazine Street. Gary was an excellent and very helpful host.
Gary's place was so spacious and comfortable! Very dog-friendly. We enjoyed walking 5 minutes to the local coffee shop (Cherry Coffee Roasters). There is a dog park there too. It was nice to live like a local and be so close to Magazine Street.
Gary is one of few renters that allow events, and this house was perfect in every way as a venue for our bridal shower.
Our guests were in awe at how grand the space was and appreciated the location. The 5 of us appreciated the comfortable beds, spacious living areas and enjoyed having the comforts of a home vs a hotel.
Gary was easily accessible and responded to my questions quickly via text both before and during our visit. Great host!
Great house for a family of four. House is clean, well maintained and as advertised. House is also easy walking distance to shops and restaurants on magazine Gary is a great owner / host and is very responsive to any needs that arise on your stay.
This adorable home could not be in a better location. The neighborhood was quiet and charming, and Magazine Street was a short walk away. The owner is very friendly and so willing to share information and tips.
Beautiful home in a great location. Gary was a great host. Highly recommend this property.
Seamless stay, highly recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Gary
Gary is a Native New Orleanian who has lived in San Francisco and traveled the world, only to find his way back home to New Orleans! Having returned to marry the girl next door just a few months before Katrina, he has played his part in rebuilding this wonderful city through various real estate projects and other entrepreneurial ventures. And now he's here to stay!
Why they chose this property
This building was falling down after 'The Storm,' as we call it. When the chance came up to buy it from an out of town investor who was unable to recover from storm damages, we jumped at it.
The moment the neighbors saw that we were fixing the place up and getting good people living there, they were really happy to see the neighborhood improving, one property at a time.
We are proud owners and Proud New Orleanians!
What makes this property unique
In addition to some great Nola decor, we decided to make your visit as comfy and soothing with the help of some of our vast collection of Indian and Asian art. Amassed from various world travels, the art is collectively known as meditation art.
