The process was easy simple and not confusing. The property was excellent great spot great views and friendly pups to greet us was an unexpected welcomed surprise! This was the perfect get away/12yr anniversary weekend! Will definitely be returning!
Great place to stay for a short visit to the Grand Canyon. Clean, beautiful view, sweet dogs. The lighting could be better. But overall a nice place. Would recommend it.
Could not have anticipated a better view! Unbelievably beautiful. The house was exactly what we needed and beautifully appointed. We did request more large bottled water for their water machine and received a quick reply, but never received the water requested, which was fine, we just purchased gallon jugs from the store. Their doggies are amazing and we wanted to sneak them in our car and take them home with us. ;)
This place has amazing views and is a good home base for a Grand Canyon trip as well as a downtown Williams visit. Beds were comfortable, and the pups on site are adorable. The only thing that is inaccurate is the posting shows that guests are allowed access to the home gym, but in the house rules on site it states the opposite. I get the liability aspect of it, but it shouldn’t be shown in the pictures if it’s not available for use. Other than that, we absolutely loved the stay and will remember it forever!
We stayed here for 2 nights, and the views from the deck are amazing! The bathrooms and bedrooms were brand new and clean. There's a small, very basic kitchen area. But this place is all about the location - and did I mention the views? We spent the majority of our time on the deck, enjoying the solitude and quietness. Another review mentioned the dogs - we found them to be very friendly and polite. We would absolutely stay here again.

Outstanding views and quiet
Spectacular views and comfy main room. Lots of rules but no dish cloth to do dishes which was one of the rules. Advertised as a home gym accessible but rules said no. Also stated first bottle of water included, bottle was empty. Bring ALL condiments, nothing there which is difficult if you fly in. However the quiet and views made up for those little problems. Loved the dogs too!
We were greeted to open doors, 51 degrees in the building upon arrival, dogs with feces on them which got on us, an unclean rental from the prior guests, no potable water (it was brown coming out of the tap), a pellet stove that would not stay lit, and no water pressure requiring us to rent a hotel room in town to shower. I would not recommend this property.
This place was awesome, very cosy, secluded, unique, plus a great view. We GPS’d to Espee road and followed their directions after that since they recommend to not use GPS all the way there. Once you get to the end of Oak Hill, there will be 2 gates and you go in the one on the right. We arrived after dark so we had to figure that out ourselves since we couldn’t see the house from the gate. The only complaint I have is the fact that check out is so early. We not only had to pack up all our things to get out but they also ask that you do the dishes, strip beds, take towels to bin and take out all trash by 10:00am or they will charge a $50-100 fee. The pups are very sweet and friendly, we loved their company but one of them does jump so be aware of that!
This was our 2nd trip to this home. It was as relaxing this trip as it was the first time. The area is very quiet. There are a couple of friendly dogs that greet you when you arrive. We were accompanied by my brother and sister-in-law and visited the town of Williams while there. We shot pool in the evenings. Overall, a very relaxing weekend and I would recommend this rental to anyone.
What a gem! Perfect place for my son and I to rest from hiking in the canyon. The Bunkhouse is off the beaten path, and after spending the day with many people at GCNP - it was just what we needed. Super easy check-in. I will definitely recommend this to friends!
Our group of 4 had an amazing stay here! We wanted a place to relax after busy days and found it! Bring dog treats for your greeters Chuggy and Zena…they are sweet! This was the perfect amount of space for us—2 bedrooms with private bathrooms off each. The pool table was a fun “perk”. Be aware the lighting is bad in the very small kitchenette as described. We had our own coolers and appreciated the one provided! The propane grill worked great (could use a good cleaning).
Highly recommend this place as a peaceful getaway with gorgeous views!
This was a destination vacation for us - Destination: Northern AZ points of interest. This property was perfect after spending many hours driving / hiking / exploring Northern AZ (Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Petrified National Forest, Page and beyond).
Despite the kitchen size, we cooked most of our meals here. Between the kitchen and patio grill, this was more than adequate.
Additionally, we had perfect sunrise views from the Master Bedroom and deck.
This cabin is located in a remote quiet area about 15 minutes from Williams. It has a fantastic view from the deck. The morning and evening views were breathtaking. There was plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable.
Just as they described it to be but better!! My 7 year old and I had a great week there!! We were greeted everyday by the doggies but it was the youngest female that won our hearts! She was by the walkway every morning to say hello and give me kisses!! Would definitely come back!!
Quiet, secluded..solitude with Awesome view. Just what the doctor ordered! Loved the dogs!! Really sweet and well mannered. Great golf, food and fun just minutes away in Williams:) Thanks for sharing your home with us!
I walked in to such cozy "bunker"! Instantly fell in love!!! Everything was VERY CLEAN and very well coordinated. Pool table was such a nice touch and kept my 23 year old son and his best friend entertained. The sunrises were FENOMENOL!!!! 3 dogs on the property which my son loved!!!! SINCERELY great place to stay!!
This place is really unique and special.
One thing to make clear, if you can't follow rules completely.. and there are alot, then look somewhere else!!
What a gem, dogs were super friendly, weather was great, star gazing was amazing! and the Buffalo Nickel pool table made the evening so great w the boys and conversation... it's truly a special place. Follow the directions and rules completely you'll have 0 issues. Respect there place, don't waste water!! That should be mandatory everywhere, that's our greatest resource anyway, turn off power when not needed.. once again, respect the rules and environment your in, and you will surely enjoy this treasure.. We sure did. Thank you.
Sincerely, Team Decker
We enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. It was just as described. The beds and furniture were comfortable. It was nice to enjoy the peace and quite of the country while on vacation. Location was great to the Grand Canyon, enjoyed visiting downtown Williams and other attractions in the area. The only downfall/issue was the heat in the bunkhouse in the afternoon, it got pretty hot and uncomfortable.
Great place to stay when visiting Grand Canyon! Loved the cabin; had everything we needed and a little more. The pool table was a bonus but the most amazing thing is the view from the back porch - just stunning. Highly recommend!
Pros, great views, clean, pool table, very comfy furniture, ac units in each room that work very well, downtown Williams was so fun.
Cons, farther from Grand Canyon than we realized approx1hr, the road to the cabin up the hill isn't paved, the 3 large dogs were cute but one was always trying to push his way into the house, and another that was a little anxious and seemed like he might bite but thankfully he didn't, lastly the kitchenette sink was so tiny like a wet bar sink and made it hard to wash dishes. Maybe bring a plastic tub for your dishes.
Just right for these 4 goldy-locks!! Everything was super clean and comfortable! Gorgeous deck and views away from the noisy crowds. Easy to find and not too far from gas station/stores for last minute supplies. Super friendly dogs greeted us and kept watch. The only issues we had was figuring out how to get the TV to work - which we would have minded doing without anyways. Thank you for making our very first Vrbo experience an lovely one!
