New Years in Paris
We enjoyed the light filled apartment and its eclectic art. Very much appreciated the Christmas tree and other decorations which gave it a festive air. Philippe Bonan's photograph of Keith Haring touched our hearts. The photo of Catherine and her decor gave us a glimpse of who she is. Check in felt a bit rushed as we we were coming off an 13 hour flight but we appreciated Catherine meeting us. I felt describing the apartment as having two bedrooms and two and a half baths was misleading. The salon had a bed in it and was counted as one of the bedrooms but as it was a communal room for us to gather in it didn't offer any privacy until everyone went to bed. There was one sufficient bathroom with two sinks and a shower. There was only one toilet in a closet off of the kitchen. An old freestanding tub in the other bedroom was counted as another bathroom. I chose this apartment because of the two and a half baths. Our group was made up of me and my husband, our son-in-law and 18 year old granddaughter. We managed to make it work because we are family. If we had booked it with another couple the accommodations would have been a problem. We enjoyed breakfasting in the Oriental dining room. If we had been staying longer and wanted to cook the kitchen had literally no place to prep food. We loved the location and it was a great launching point for our activities. We also want to thank Catherine for her thoughtfulness in providing us with orange juice, croissants and baguette.
