Beautiful home on CT River - allows dogs!

We loved our stay! The home is lovely, looks recently updated, & has everything you need. They even provided s'more fixings to use in their fire circle! My only caution would be about air conditioning. There are 2 window units, and several fans, but it is not central A/C. That said, even on upper 80's days, we were able to keep the place pretty comfortable. We enjoyed paddling, exploring the area, excellent local produce (sweet corn - mmmmm), and the many board games. An excellent spot. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully relaxing stay!

Many thanks to Deb for a wonderfully relaxing stay - we all had a lovely time in such BBC a wonderfully appointed home with lovely touches such as the s’mores kit waiting for us to enjoy by the campfire. The sleeping quarters were very comfortable and everything was extremely clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking up some amazing breakfasts. The property was so peaceful and secluded near the river. Thank you for a lovely stay - we hope to come back next year during the same time. My best, Victoria.

A wonderful family getaway!

We could not be more pleased with this rental! Located in a very private/isolated location, it is still very easy to access essentials, if necessary (groceries, bait, etc.). The property itself is even more spectacular than the photos online show - spacious, clean, and with plenty of things to keep a family busy (kayaks, bikes, games, lots of outdoor space, etc.), we immediately felt right at home. Communication with the owners was top notch. They clearly take pride in their property and are welcoming hosts. This was just the getaway our family needed this summer!!

Beautiful and peaceful place!

The house is very clean and well maintained. The yard is huge and beautiful. We enjoyed the sauna and the fireplace, used it every night. Didn't go for a swim in the river much, only the first day. There is lake nearby with the better entrance and the beach. The house is god friendly which is the BIG advantage for us. The communication from owner is wonderful. We loved everything!!! Thank you, Deb!

Quiet peaceful stay

The sunsets from the yard are absolutely gorgeous the colors change in minutes. The communication from owner is wonderful. They provide many many games that kept us busy. Unfortunately not many places were open due to COVID-19 but the house made up for it in many ways.

Beautiful, comfortable retreat

The River House is nicely equipped and comfortable. The house sits up above the river, so the frontage requires a steep walk. Loved the privacy and huge yards. We kayaked, swam, explored the area (a bit hot in July to go hiking), played lawn games, and did nothing. A great vacation!

We had such a fantastic time staying at the property for a long weekend. The house is beautiful and well appointed with everything you need for a great vacation. Deb was friendly and accommodating. The location is so private and kayaking on the river is so peaceful. Our 8 year old LOVED all the board games and Wii. The garage offers fishing gear, bikes etc. we hope to return! Thanks Deb!

Wonderful family escape

We spent a few days here and had a great time. Enough space to spread out indoors and out. Kayaks, bikes, and lawn toys all made for a fun time even during covid restrictions. Close to some nice light hiking trials at Wright mountain.

Beautiful & convenient location, comfortabe home, attentive owners

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent at this rental. A bit too much space for just the 2 of us/ but a perfect home for a large family or a group of friends. The location & convenience of being so close to stores & a major highway, plus having the view & access to the Connecticut River literally in the back yard was also a treat. We were able to use the provided kayaks one afternoon &?the garage is full of supplies needed for other activities. The only thing I would point out is this rental does have TVs & wireless service with streaming to Roku & Netflix. We were initially a bit disappointed due to not being able to watch our usual shows & we found it too time consuming to figure out how to use the available streaming options- but that was the absolute only hiccup. We definitely recommend this rental to everyone.

Wonderful vacation

I would definitely stay at this property again! The owner's are wonderful and attentive even before I arrived ensuring I would have no difficulty getting to the home. It was spotless and did not smell like dog at all. The firepit was perfect for us to roast smores and hot dogs. We loved this place, from them allowing us to use their fishing poles, kayaks & canoe. It was perfect!

Great week away in Piermont NH

The whole family had the best time in Piermont, NH. Kayaking on the river and seeing two bald eagles flying by. Bon fires in the backyard with s'mores! Delicious blueberry bush by the garage. Lunch and blueberry picking at Windy Ridge Orchard in N Haverhill. Deb was so accommodating and responsive! The house was clean and comfortable down to the quality cotton sheets on the beds. Well stocked with everything we needed. Thank you Deb, for the memories created while staying at your house!! We can't wait to come back!

Fabulous week!

My husband and I, our children (16 & 20) and two dogs had a wonderful stay at Deb's beautiful house! She's thought of everything ... definitely a home away from home. Great cooking kitchen, comfy beds, big thick towels...so many little touches that kept us comfortable and relaxed. Our doggies loved the yard and coming with us down to the water and hanging out both inside and outside. Such a great place for dogs! Tho' we didn't love the swimming right at the house...we found Indian Pond wonderful. Too hot for the sauna this time around, but what a wonderful feature! Our highlights: beautiful kayaking, wonderful hiking (LOVED Wright's Mountain), driving the gorgeous Kanc, mini hike to see lovely Sabbaday Falls, yummy lunch in Lincoln at Black Mtn Burgers (nice veggie options, too), consignment shopping and dinner at Colavitas in adorable Bradford, and amazing dark sky star gazing. So many wonderful hours reading and chatting on the screened porch, and delish s'mores around the fire. Truly a gem of a vacation retreat!! Thanks, Deb... you were so accommodating and helpful. This week was just what our human and canine family members needed!! 😍

Comfortable Cottage on the Connecticut River

Thank you Deb, We had a fantastic stay. We invited family from Vermont and throughout New England to visit in small groups over the course of a week. We cooked great meals in the well appointed kitchen (and recommend the Farm Stand in Bradford) and spent hours canoeing, fishing, inner tubing and swimming in the river. We also spent the afternoon of the hottest summer day in Lake Tarleton - an accessible beach, clear water, lots of families. The air conditioners in the house came in handy as well. We highly recommend this home and host and hope to return to share it with our families in the future.

Wonderful Oasis

My boyfriend, puppy, and I had a wonderful time at this property. We only left for food. We stayed for 3 days and loved every minute! We were so surprised to find a bald eagles nest through the binoculars on the other side of the river. Beautiful place, very friendly host, and a wonderful location.

Perfect getaway

Perfect getaway for everyone in the family. Huge front yard for our 21 month old grand-daughter to play. I would suggest older kids or watch your young ones every second in the backyard. There is a significant drop that raises safety issues. Maybe a fence should be out by that swing outlining that area. Not a high one because the view is gorgeous. The sauna was amazing. The house was gorgeous. We all had plenty of space to unwind in our own way. There were 7 adults and 1 child and plenty of room. There is a state park not too far away with a clean lake to go swimming in. I highly recommend this place.

Best of both worlds - relaxing adventure!

Comfortable setting with water adventures down the private backyard trail to the river. House was clean, updated, and nicely stocked with little extras (smores supplies! coffee, apple cider!). Owner was very nice, attentive, and accessible. The website description of this house is 100% correct. This house really has everything you need to have a great NH vacation! I cant wait to come back!

Top Notch River House

Our family stayed here for a week and the house is as described. The house was immaculate and has plenty of "extras" for those with kids. The kitchen was sensational as well as the blueberries that we were encouraged and able to pick onsite. There are plenty of toys, games and additional items on property to do during "rain" days, although we had a pretty weather perfect week. My son caught his first fish! A nice yellow perch. As one can expect growing up in Northern New England, the mosquitos are out, but the house has a screen porch attached to the house to enjoy for those that choose to stay inside, with an outside feel. There is plenty of space inside and outside of this home to explore and enjoy. Most of all, Deb is super communicative and even sent along additional information of events in the area. The house is decked out! I have rented several and you wont find one better for the money! Well Done and Thanks on behalf of our entire family.

Relaxing New Hampshire Home

We stayed at the Piermont River House in June. The house was perfect for our needs. It was set back off a long lane and very secluded. Everything you could think of was there! It appeared to be recently remodeled and was very comfortable. We had 2 hot days and managed with the fans provided. We were located in a good location for all our basic needs and sight seeing. We used the screened porch, sauna and cooked on the grill many times and cooked our meals in the beautiful kitchen. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the river and the fishing was beyond excellent. It was amazing how many different species of fish we caught and how big the large mouth bass were. Even the dog enjoyed the river and did not want to come out. Our only down side was we had to buy more mosquito spray to fend off the New Hampshire mosquito's! Deb, we thank you for allowing us to use your home for a memorable vacation. We all had a really good time!!

Awesome family vacation spot

The house is lovely and well kept. The surrounding property/lawn is also well kept and great for playing outside. The red garage is stocked well with sports equipment, bikes, and fishing rods. The river is down a short somewhat steep trail to the river. We went out on the canoe and my daughter caught her first fish! there is lots to do around the house and beyond. We did day trips to Mt. Washington and the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory. There is really a wealth of things to do with kids in this area. We had a great time.

Relaxing, private country house in perfect location with all the modern conveniences of home!

We came to attend graduation in Hanover, and loved retreating to this spotlessly clean, warm and inviting home. We took advantage of the kayaks on the river. Also enjoyed the sauna. Inside the house, the large fully equipped kitchen allowed our ladies group of 4 to visit and prepare meals around the island/bar. We'll be back!!
