This was the first part of our week’s vacation, the weather wasn’t great for the first few days but we finally got some sunshine. We feel that this property lacked in outside appearance but the inside was great. There is a lot to do in the area and we made the best of it!
This little gem exceeded our expectations. We are simple people and this is a simple house with the convenience of waking up and getting in your kayak and exploring Lake Seneca. The little cottage isn't that brand new perfect place, but it suited us better than we could imagine. It made our 20th anniversary that much more enjoyable. I would highly consider renting this again if it's just my wife and myself. There is a sofa-bed upstairs so I guess you could sleep 4 max.
This little one bedroom rental is in a great location. Perfect for our 30th wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved the finger lakes, 1st time visiting and the owner is very punctual. Had a little trouble getting the heater to work and he called within 15 min and walked us through it. House does need some repairs and updates. Thank you for sharing your home!

Cute Cottage
A very cute cottage but a lot of steps. The bathroom is on the first floor and the bedroom is on the second floor great view of Lake Seneca the cottage could’ve used Better cleaning. The bed was very comfortable. There’s no dishwasher or oven. The grill outside needs to be replaced.
Our stay was perfect and for all the right reasons! The location and the house were just as shown and described! The accommodations were cozy and clean and the beautiful sunsets were breathtaking! Would recommend and go back in a heartbeat!! Thanks!
Had a great time in the middle of the Finger Lakes region. This cottage is centrally located between the 3 main Finger Lakes and a lot of wineries. There are some excellent restaurants and did I mention a lot of wineries. Fun times.
We loved our stay. Every one was so nice. We had a comfortable stay with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Loved having a fire on the beach and the sweet sound of the water lapping right outside the bedroom. There was always something to do and each day ended with a gorgeous sunset!
As soon as we arrived a funky smell hit us. The whole beach was loaded with toxic algae bloom sludge that smelled like decaying rot, and it is harmful to breathe in or swim in. We walked out on the 100 foot dock and it was absolutely loaded with toxic algae blooms. The second day it wasn’t any different, and we were tired of being stuck inside so we left. This was our 34th anniversary celebration, and it was a total let down. The property manager just argued with us, basically telling us it was fine and to just jump off of the dock. I’m not ever willing to jump in toxic algae blooms. I’d love some of my money back.
Beautiful house on the lake with easy access to the water. Clean and comfortable. Great location and it was a peaceful stay. We’d definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time at the cottage!! Family came out and brought their boat so the boat hoist was great! Karen, the cottage manager, was very helpful and just 5 minutes away! The only thing that was a slight problem was there was a lot of weeds on the beach and poison ivy too. Karen said that she would take care of it. All in all, it was perfect for us!! Thank you!!
The cottage has great internet and satellite service. The inside is clean, neat and has everything one may need. If you have trouble walking then the stairs may be an issue. They are steep and about 13 of them from the road to the front door.
Great location and so close to the water that we could hear the waves at night while sleeping. Nice neighborhood and enjoyed walking through Sampson state park. Close to parks and wineries. We will definitely come back again
Great little place! We walked in and immediately felt at home with the added bonus of a great view. The home had everything that we needed and my husbands only complaint was how I kept saying I wanted to live there :D
Some personal taste things to mention are there are alot of stairs down to the water that can be slippery when wet, the shower is small and awkward to get into if you're bigger and the bed is pretty firm. None of these things were issues for us but noteworthy for some.
In summary I am VERY happy we stayed here and will definitely look to book here again when I'm next in the area. I already miss the sound of waves lapping...
This house on the lake was quiet, cozy, comfortable and clean. Mike was a good, accommodating, responsive host. If you stay when the nights are in the 40s then you should only need to use the downstairs heater. Our first night we used the living room heater as well and it got too hot. The next 2 nights we were all comfortable with just the downstairs heater. We would stay here again! Gorgeous sunsets and easy to get to lots of wonderful destinations in the Finger Lakes.
Waterfront cozy cottage with all you need to unwind and relax for a few days! Location is great: not only the view on the lake from the bedroom or the living room but close to key attractions in the area like hiking in forest parks, gorges with awesome waterfalls and cascades, wineries to taste local wines and u picks (apples and pumpkins at fall). Mike, the owner, was very helpful for any questions we had in relation to the house.
In a nutshell, great stay! To rebook in the future!
The only real negative i can think of would be ,IF you are traveling with someone with limited walking capabilities , the steps are a little steep. But that is what you get that close to lake. WE WILL STAY AGAIN
