Booked this property for a little holiday weekend getaway and that’s exactly what we got! It was wonderful to sit on the screened in porch and listen to the water against the shore. The view from this property is just perfect looking down lake keuka. The house is equipped with everything you could need. Ted and Becky the property owners were so easy to communicate with and on our last day we actually got to meet them as they were coming in for a stay at the neighboring cottage. Absolutely wonderful people! Looking forward to many more stays at this little slice of paradise.
My bestie lives in Ohio an I live in Massachusetts. Meeting halfway on Lake Keuka was perfect! Comfortable and constant gentle lapping of the lake on the shore. Breath-taking views. Perfect place to reconnect!
This is a pretty amazing place! A quiet street nestled at the top of the western leg of Keuka. The cottage is just feet from the lake with an amazing lakeside deck. It’s fully screened in to keep the bugs out. Kids spent hours on the beach playing in the water. You can walk out on the sand bar pretty far or sit on the dock for a relaxing time. The cottage has everything you need…pots, pans, dishes, beach toys, games, big living room, cozy bedrooms, the list goes on. My family loved it here!
We loved everything about the cottage and the area it was in. A big plus, was being able to moor our pontoon at the dock. Ted and Becky are great hosts!
The location was very nice being right on the lake,
I felt the living room furniture could have been a little more comfortable.
Over all I thought the cottage was average for the area.
My husband and I wanted to visit our son at a local college and have a little getaway. This cottage was a classic lake cottage which gave us the authentic feel we appreciate. We will be back!
We very much enjoyed our week at this property. The views are marvelous -- even better than what the online photos show. The cottage was very well stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the newly installed air conditioning for our first day. But otherwise, the abundant supply of fans was adequate once the very not weather moved on. We found everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils, and we used the outdoor grill one night. The views from the house and dock are what make this place special. If you have a rainy day, it would be a great place to just sit and look out at the lake. We brought two kayaks and it was easy to launch from the beach. As mentioned in the property description, the water is shallow a long way out from the shore (2-3 ft) so this might be a great spot for younger children. Branchport and Penn Yan are an easy drive away if you need to pick up food or supplies. Take a trip to the Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters on the road to Penn Yan! Ted and Becky were great answering questions prior to our rental and they checked in with us (by phone) the first day to ask if we needed anything. The main room in the cottage is large and has great views, and leads out to the screened in porch. We spent most of our daylight time on the open deck beside the screen porch as it was nice to sit out in the breeze. These older cottages do have some quirky features. You have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom, so depending on your group at the cottage, you may need to set up some bathroom etiquette protocols. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again if we make another trip to Keuka Lake.
Location on the lake is beautiful. Convenient to lots of wineries and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood and great chairs on the dock. Ted the owner was just great, real helpful and very timely with information. Would be a great camp to rent for a family.
Just perfect to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Weather at times was not the best, but didn’t matter thanks to the screen in porch, will stay again for sure!
Both rental and owner were warm and welcoming. Cottage well equipped. The best part was the screened in porch just steps from the lake where we dined while watching beautiful sunsets. Great time.
Our stay was perfect. You can't beat the view, the house was clean and cozy, and we loved spending our time in the screened porch. It downpoured our first day/night causing the lake to rise, and we still had an awesome time. Ted is very friendly and helpful and we're grateful to have found his place. Can't wait to go back!
We had a wonderful week celebrating our 50th anniversary with our son and his family. The weather was perfect, the cottage clean and comfortable. Being so close to the water is a definite plus. Love Crescent Beach, especially the older cottages.
Overall the property served us well. The best part were the opportunities to Kayak (nearby stream, the lake itself - weather cooperated and the kayaking was lovely!), biking down the west bluff road (took our bikes to Keuka park, just around the corner from the cottage), and walked 7 miles on the Keuka Outlet Trail which starts in Penn Yan. So many opportunities to get outdoors and exercise in beautiful country. Thanks so much to Ted and Becky for their hospitality and helpfulness!
We enjoyed our stay at the Hall's cottage. The view from the double sliding glass doors was spectacular. Sitting on the end of the dock in the Adirondack chairs with the wind and sun on my face was just the recharge I needed.
Ted and Becky are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. We were looking for a relaxing stay with our dogs and that’s exactly what we got. Awesome stay!
The cottage was perfect. The neighborhood was very peaceful. Our grandchildren enjoyed swimming in the lake. We enjoyed our kayak rides, the paddle boat, and sitting on the porch (right on the water.) Ted and Becky were wonderful. They were very helpful and friendly. We would love to stay here again in the future.
Absolutely best little mini vacation I have ever had! What a relaxing stay. House was exactly as described! Ted was a great host! Very responsive and quick to answer any and all questions you may have!
House was more spacious than expected. Host was very nice and full of great info. They left a nice bottle of local wine out for our arrival. Nice touch!
This was one of the nicest cottages we have had the pleasure to vacation at. The level access and lakefront made it so easy to unload and enjoy the beach and dock area. Fishing was great, and we had all the amenities anyone could want. Thank you, Ted and Becky for a wonderful week.

About the host
Hosted by Ted & Rebecca Hall
The Hall Family have been at the Branchport end of Keuka Lake since the 1920's. Five generations have had the opportunity to enjoy boating, fishing, and all seasonal activities on Keuka Lake. It all started with our Great Grandfather, George W. Hall with his cottage and troutboat rentals at Campbell's Beach, now Camp Good Days. He is one of the featured boatbuilders at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum in Hammondsport. We spend as much time as we can at Crescent Beach, but enjoy that our lakeside cottage is available at other times to both returning and new guests. We have rented the cottage since 1994.
Why they chose this property
448 Crescent Beach is located right on the water and the view from the screened in porch is a favorite memory of all who have stayed at the cottage.
