Thank you so much Philip for letting us stay in your house for a couple of weeks. It was very nice to meet you and your wife and your house was amazing. A great balance of ornaments in the house with plenty of space to put all our beach equipment. Next time in Grand Haven I hope I can stay in your place again.
Was a great place to call home for the week. Thank you.r
The pool table , ping pong, foosball, and bikes in the game room were awesome. Got a lot of use out of the outdoor grill and back patio. Will definitely book again.
We had a terrific week away, and the house was filled with thoughtful things to make our atya even better. The clubhouse/garage was a big hit and the bicycles worked great.
The house was just what we needed. Nothing fancy. A place to sleep, grill to BBQ, nice porch for reading and nice and close to town!
We loved the garage- played ping pong, rode bikes and enjoyed our time together outside.
House was very clean. Loved the proximity to town.
This beautiful home was perfect for my husband and I who spent this past weekend in Grand Haven. The location was excellent! Just a few blocks from shopping, restaurants, and the pier. We walked everywhere! We loved it. This house offers plenty of room with lots of beds and two bathrooms. We will definitely return again with our family.
The home is a short walking distance from the downtown area and the local beach. More than adequate space for my family with a special playroom out back filled with bicycles and games that my children loved. Overall an outstanding home with great location close to all that Grand Haven has to offer. Plan accordingly should you be traveling in during Coast Guard festival as the town gets very crowded and utilizing a vehicle for transport thru the festival week can be very challenging at times due to parking and traffic constraints.
House was perfect for our low key beach week and 3blks from downtown GH shopping. Just what we needed to make a quick breakfast spend the day at the beach and return in the evenings to grill and let the teens ride bikes and walk downtown for ice cream. Peaceful neighborhood and very convenient to downtown. GH beach is about 1mile and Lake Michigan is about a 20min drive. We will rent again!
The home was immaculate and was even nicer than the pictures. Perfect location and Phil was so nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and didn’t want to leave!
We loved our stay at this house in grand haven. It’s much bigger than it looks in photos, and plenty of outdoor space as well. We enjoyed grilling and eating on the patio. Walking distance to the marina and shops and restaurants downtown, and very short drive to many beaches and parks. Would absolutely rent from Phil again. He and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. So wonderful to allow dogs as well- my pup had a blast here!

No real way to secure!
Got in late because they had not finished cleaning from previous renters. No real way to secure house when not there. They had a keyless, but the batteries were dead. Was told there was a skeleton key, but when you have multiple people in your party, that doesn't work. Tried up to one week before renting to get confirmation . Was never provided with number to call. Overall, not run like a business. No formal contract, I got an email. No confirmation of receipt of the deposit.

Owners are great people and the property was very nice.
There was a slight issue with the smoke detectors going off when exposed to steam from showers but sure owner will resolve the problem.

Grand Haven Gem
Theora's Place is in a great location and has a lot to offer. The house has all you'll need during our visit. We really enjoyed the front porch and back patio area. The house sits in a quiet neighborhood, but is near all the action. We enjoyed walking to the shops downtown and had a great dinner at Kirby's. The house sits just 2 blocks to the Farmer's Market (yummy) and the Trolley stop. The Trolley offers a great historical tour of Grand Haven for only $1.50/pp
There is also a great rental shop nearby (mopeds, bikes, boats, etc). It was our first trip to Grand Haven and we absolutely loved it. Be sure to visit!

Rental
Excellent house close to everything. Everthing was neat and clean a/c and electric worked fine. Love the downstairs bathtub. We had plenty of room for everyone including the dogs. Would use it again in the future. My friend found it for us to use for a beach wedding in the area and it was perfect.

A nice house...great location!
We very much enjoyed our time at this house. The electrical system is tricky but once you get the balance right with the A/C, it's fine. The house is in a very safe neighborhood as we kept the screens in the windows and walked at night with no problems at all. The owner did a great job of having it ready for us. We were able to bring both of our dogs with us. The washer and dryer were hooked up and worked great. It is a 2 block walk to the marina and 4 blocks to shopping on the main street. A wonderful location!! We had a fabulous week.

Don't forget your flashlight
This house is in a great location, close to everything in town.
It is old house in an old neighborhood of rentals. It is vintage, including the electrical system - with 60 amp service. Don't forget your flashlight. The power went out frequently, especially at night, requiring us to stumble around in the dark trying to locate the electrical box in the basement. Even with all the AC units on, the upstairs bedrooms never truly cooled off. If you run the stove and the AC units, beware, it will trip the electrical system too. Also, the washer and dryer weren't hooked up even though they were included on the VRBO listing, hopefully the owner resolves this. Additionally the front windows do not lock and are easily opened from the outside of the house, don't leave any valubles out. Due to these inconveniences and the heat, we left early. Unfortunately the owner did not refund any of the $ for the 3 days we did not use.
