Lovely, beautifully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage for 2 adults. Perfect for your honeymoon or romantic getaway, but if needed there is room for 2 small children on the living room sectional. You are overlooking a Crystal clear waterway that leads to the Halls River. The River runs thru several lakes on its way to the Homosassa River then to the Gulf of Mexico. Good fishing in crystal clear water right off your patio. Bass, Bluegill, Mullet, Porgy, Sheepshead & stingrays are some of many different varieties that frequent the area. The cottage is a great area for sight seeing, manatee, porpoise, otters, turtles and stingrays frequent the waterways off your dock. Several great blue heron, ibis, many bard owls and wood storks also frequent your back yard. Just recently we’ve had a white peacock that visits every couple of days. We’ve named her princess. She is just beautiful !! There are also a great variety of birds in the area and most of our waterways are bird sanctuaries . You have a dock for a small boat and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. The cottage comes complete with life vests, 4 person paddle boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe. A lovely yard that is fenced on 2 sides has water on the other two sides. A quiet and charming area to relax.

We came looking for a quiet weekend getaway and the property did not disappoint. The location is off the beaten path, yet very close to many of the local sites and activities. The outside is very accommodating with plenty of seating to watch the variety of fish swim by in the creek. There was use of kayak, canoe and paddle boat to enjoy. The inside was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. I had no intention of cooking (LOL!) so the limited kitchen facilities was not an issue...no stove or inside full-size refrigerator, nor coffee maker, only Kuerig. The shower had great water temperature and flow, just a little "tight" for our liking. Overall a very good stay!
I don’t know where to start, everything was perfect! The Cottage was very clean, comfortable bed. The decor was amazing, from the chandeliers to the crocheted doilies! The property outside is equally amazing. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back.
This is the perfect out of the way place to stay. It is clear the owners have put a lot of effort in making the cottage enjoyable. The little touches were much appreciated. The outdoor area, beside the small lazy river, is beautiful and relaxing.

Loved it!
Beautiful yard, waterfront. Cottage so cute and cozy cottage, very comfortable, but a little too close to the highway, we could hear the traffic
The water in the backyard is why I selected this place, and it did not disappoint! We had a wonderful, beautiful canoe trip from the cottage up and down Halls River. There were lots of fish and we found some manatees. They came to look at us and swam around the canoe.
This is a cozy well maintained cottage. It had everything we were looking for and more. We seen a manatee our first morning from our backyard. We seen so many fish a big alligator snapper an armadillo, wood stork the friendly neighboring white peacock that roams the street. The manatees really can’t get up the waterway in the backyard when it’s low tide but a quick trip to the open water right outside of the canal and a little patience we seen manatees both times we went out and it was so neat they followed us around in the canoe. We also seen sting ray and river otters while on the canoe. We seen no alligators so our last night we took the canoe out with flash lights and right outside of the canal in open water we seen lots of glowing eyes swimming across the water or hiding in the grass. Such a neat experience we will be back to this house on our next trip to Crystal River.
The property is directly on the spring water. Many different water craft are available for use anytime. Fishing was successful for many catches. There is not a stove or oven but many cooking options are available ie. electric griddle, tiaster oven/air fryer,.toaster, microwave.
Lovely, cozy cottage with a huge fenced yard and water on 2 sides. Quiet neighborhood and hosts Dennis and Debra are right next door and eager to help out with anything. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate most of my visit but it was still a great place to relax.
We had a wonderful week at this property! It was very clean, quiet and had everything that we needed for a nice stay. It was nice having the canal nearby for watching the wildlife and fishing. It was very comfortable for the 2 of us plus our dog. I would stay there again.
We stayed here in December to celebrate our son turning 11. It was perfect for us. We fished, and even saw the manatee right from the house. Other than enjoying a wonderful seafood dinner, we ate all meals at this house. We booked a swim with the Manatee tour with River Ventures (JJ was the captain and Shelia was our tour guide). Would recommend this trip!!!
We had a great 2 night stay in the cottage. Its a good size and everything was provided to be self-sufficient. We were lucky enough to see a manatee, otter, lots of turtles including a snapping turtle and catch lots of fish. Grocery stores and eateries a short drive away.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was adorable and absolutely perfect for my husband and me and our 2 dogs. The hosts were super helpful sharing information about activities and restaurants in the area and the cottage was stocked with thoughtful supplies, like coffee and bottles of water. 10 out of 10!
Canoe/kayaks(ride on and ride in/paddle boat… fabulous spot for anyone to stay. Friendly owners. I wanna go again, but it has to be at least a week…. 3 days wasn’t enough for us. Lovely grounds.. house is cute. Big fridge outside… I hope the wife emptied it. 5 outta 5….10 outta 10.
This was the perfect place to stay for our two nights in Homosassa! The Hosts were very helpful, they had great recommendations. We took their word and visited Birds Underwater for Manatee tours and that was incredible. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Thanks again!
Perfect place for a nice peaceful vacation. Very cute place with everything you need to relax, cook, and have fun. We loved fishing in the back yard and taking the canoe out everyday to explore the area.
It was a wonderful peaceful stay. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and comfortable. If you are looking to relax and enjoy old Florida this is the place for you. This little cottage is absolutely magical!!!
The cottage was beautiful and cozy. Beautiful backyard and the water around it was amazing. Will always check on this spot’s availability anytime I’m traveling to Homosassa or surrounding areas.
