About this property

A Whimsical Retreat Amongst the Redwoods

High and dry. Situated outside of the flood zone, the house and yard were safe from the influx of water. This besides being alongside a picturesque winter creek. Three Times a Charm is a warm and inviting home, newly remodeled and ready for you to enjoy. It has two bedrooms each with its large walk-in closet. The bedrooms have a Jack and Jill bathroom between them and there is a second bathroom off of the kitchen. The kitchen boasts two ovens and plenty of space for several cooks.
The deck is spacious and overlooks a winter creek and has a Weber gas grill and now a new hot tub.
We are registered with the county and our Tax ID # is 1482N

Guest Access

The house has wireless internet, washer and dryer, an electric fireplace, and a large plasma screen TV. Set in the middle of wine country, you have access to some of the best wineries Sonoma has to offer and you are just 25 minutes from the ocean.

Interaction with Guests

Richard and I live right next door, so if there are any issues we are available to immediately address them, but the house is removed enough that if you prefer, you will not even know we are here.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is very quiet, with many part-time owners. The creek adds charm and we are surrounded by redwoods.

Lovely home in Guerneville

Four of us stayed 2 nights and everything was just as advertised. Back deck hot tub was wonderful. Would definitely rent again for a stay in Guerneville.

Lovely cottage in the woods

We had a very relaxing stay at Bryan's cottage surrounded by a beautiful forest. We appreciated how attentive the hosts were during our stay. The house was an ideal location for outdoor activities as well as close to many restaurants and shops. We especially enjoyed the back deck with the hot tub. We also admired the beautiful front garden that was full of roses.

excellent choice for getaway

We have stayed here twice - once in summer and this time in winter rain. We walked, visited Armstrong Woods and stayed indoors to read and watch movies. It is a comfortable home, interestingly decorated, several sitting rooms and large kitchen. Wine and banana bread was out for us. Bryan and Richard are friendly and most helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I decided to get away from the city for a weekend. Boy, did we luck out. This house had everything you could ask for in a rejuvenating getaway. Richard and Bryan were wonderful hosts and left us goodies and a wonderful bottle of wine. The house was spacious and comfortable. Loved the hot tub in the morning before coffee. And can't say enough about how comfortable the bed was. The gardens were just starting to come back from winter but can tell it will be beautiful in the summer. We will definitely be returning. Redwoods and Wine

Beautiful property, inside and out. So relaxing to sit out on the deck among the flowers and redwoods. A very well equipped, large kitchen with good quality appliances. This house is in a good location, convenient to a grocery store. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and home made banana nut bread! Leading up to and during our trip, the owners were quickly responsive and very helpful. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

The house is much roomier than we ever expected and the lovely backdoor patio made it feel like our own little oasis. The 4 of us had an excellent weekend and would not change any of it! Would highly highly recommend!

Great house + sweetest host

The house is spacious, well-decorated, and located in a quiet neighborhood only a few minutes away from the town. We especially enjoyed spending our evenings in the hot tub. Bryan and Richard live right next door and are the sweetest host who supplied us with snacks and wine and pretty much everything we needed. Highly recommended.

Redwood haven

It is a lovely place and the hosts added some very nice touches. We (two college friends from decades ago) enjoyed the hot tub on the deck underneath the redwoods, taking the 2-mile loop through the neighborhood and doing fun day trips to the coast.

Perfectly Peaceful

Three Times a Charm is a gem. Cozy and comfortable in a beautiful setting. Bryan and Richard are terrific hosts. Who wouldn’t feel welcome when greeted with a stunning garden, a bottle of wine and a loaf of delicious homemade banana bread. We highly recommend this darling place.

We had all our meals under the canopy on the deck! Very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub was great at night, we star gazed. Great large kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. It was a great place for 2 couples to stay, lots of room. The banana bread and champagne were delicious!

Relaxing and Wonderful Russian River Getaway

We were 2 busy couples from the Bay Area who needed a Russian River getaway and this property delivered! Richard and Bryan were very welcoming, gave us a great tour of the house and had a delicious loaf of banana bread and bottle of wine waiting for us! Weather was perfect, so the deck was the perfect spot to lounge when we weren't out and about playing golf at Northwood or wine tasting at our favorite spots. We grilled on the deck both nights and enjoyed the big dining table and relaxing soaks in the hot tub in the evenings and mornings. Fantastic experience, immaculate house, comfortable beds, perfect for 2 couples looking to unwind. Thank you Richard and Bryan!

Quiet, Clean, and Relaxing

The host communication was perfect from the beginning. Timely, informative, and welcoming. The house was perfectly located near town - within a good walk or easy drive - yet felt quiet and an escape. The hosts welcomed us to the property as we arrived and even had baked us amazing banana bread! After checking us in, they left us alone to enjoy our vacation, yet made it clear they were available should we need anything. The home was meticulously clean, towels and linens fresh, and amenities were stocked. There is an attention to detail that separates this property as exceptional. Highly recommend. We will be back!
