This is truely a Million Dollar View with incredible sunsets and wildlife.
This two-story home is right on the bluff and has 180 degree view of the Puget Sounds shipping lanes, Vancouver Island, and the beautiful Olympic Mts. The sunsets are incredible! You can watch for whales passing by right from the living room. Bald eagles are sighted everyday. Private beach access is a short walk away. There is a community swimming pool available, also. This a a great home away from home. The top floor is the rental and the bottom floor is a studio apartment rented just part time, mostly by family and friends.

My friend and I came to Whidbey for an event at Fort Ebey State Park. The location was conveniently located a short drive from the park. The views were incredible and we loved the wrap around windows. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and bathrooms were updated. This is a great place to stay on the north side of Whidbey!
Very nice host and a stunning view. House was well kept and the host was very communicative and helpful. Our family had a lovely time visiting the nearby state park, enjoying the view, and playing board games.
The view of the water was as promised. Great location. Kitchen was very well equipped. It was mentioned in the listing that there was a downstairs apt, there was a guest staying there and it was a little odd to me. There is a spiral stair case leading down to it. At the top was just a baby type gate. We respected it and did not go downstairs, so I’m not really sure what type of door separated the two residences. Otherwise it’s a very cozy place to stay with great views.
This property offers a fabulous view of the Olympic Peninsula, Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands. The neighborhood is conveniently located close to Oak Harbor and Coupeville. We enjoyed exploring Whidbey Island, hiking at Deception Pass, a whale watching trip out of Anacortes and used the Coupeville ferry to visit Olympic National Park. The beds are comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The kitchen, although small, offered the necessary amenities and a great view. (Note- there is no dishwasher.) We would stay here again!
Thank you for the great stay! It was a super relaxing and beautiful spot. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and watching the sunsets and the boats go by. It's nice to walk to the park to access the beach too.
It really is a million dollar view from this property! The house was very comfortable for the four of us and the kitchen was beautifully equipped for dining at home. Lovely deck from which to watch the sunset every night!
We have stayed many times on Whidbey and try out different locations. This is definitely one we'd return to in the Coupeville area. The rental has simple and efficient furnishings that are well-kept. It's small but efficiently laid out and leans towards a "cabin" feel in the way the main area is. Kitchen has all the basics you'd need and in good shape (note, there is no dishwasher which wasn't a problem for two but could be something to consider for larger groups). The star of this property, of course, thus the name, is the deck and view. It faces pretty much due west so in late August the sunset was right in front of us. Nearly 180 degrees, it's a high bank treasure that you won't want to leave. Great outdoor furniture to relax on. As others note, it does get hot in house given the exposure, but there are fans and if you open up in the morning and close later it was fine. About 10 minutes to a grocery and other amenities. Right next to Fort Ebey Park which was fun to explore. There is a tenant below but we heard only the tiniest movement once or twice. A special place!
Gorgeous, clean house. However the sun beats down through the many windows. If the inside thermometer was correct, it was 86 degrees inside, while only 78 outside. We had our 3 kids with us, including a new baby, so trying to keep a room cool enough for her was stressful. A/C would of course be ideal, even a portable unit would help so much. At the very least, black out curtains! My husband actually hung sheets on the windows to try to help the situation. Beautiful house & property though
It is a million dollar view. The weather was perfect, lots of cruise ships, fishing boats and tankers to watch.
The wildlife was plentiful from 2 bald eagle nests close by to deer and rabbits visiting the property.
The house was very well stocked and we appreciated the bar-b-que even though we didn't cook that much.
It's a lovely island with lots to see and many fine restaurants.
Hints to future guests(nothing to do with the rental) but check the ferry schedule on line before heading out. Many ferries are canceled.
We highly recommend this rental.
We enjoyed the expansive panorama of the Sound. The facilities of the rental matched information on VRBO website. A waste basket would be appreciated in
Guest bedroom. The weather was sunny, very sunny ...the deck would be more comfortable with an sun umbrella.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends and family

Great location! House was as described. Kitchen was well stocked. Only comment was the slider to the deck was almost impossible. Really needs to be replaced, because it is the one thing used the most.
This was a great fit for our family. A ten-minute walk down the street allowed us and our kids to explore the shore to their heart’s content. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool, but it looked like fun too. The beds were comfy and just about time I asked myself “where would I put this thing we need?” — I’d look and there it was. Wish we could have stayed longer…we left a lot to explore next time!
We had a nice stay and thoroughly enjoyed the view and the weather. The house was clean and comfy and we appreciated that there was as little beach within a short walk of the house.
As another reviewer pointed out this is an upper unit so there is a downstairs including blocked off stairs. The view is exactly as showcased - a panoramic view over the water. Really beautiful. Be warned there is no cell service for most carriers! The host was very responsive. Nice place
Definitely a million dollar view!
Wonderful location, very well equipped kitchen, great Wi-Fi, sweet walkable neighborhood, short walk to the beach (which is amazing), comfortable beds

The upper floor
We had the upper floor and.whoever was below us was noisy. Talking loud, closing doors with a bang. The tv was loud from time to time. Lovely view of the straight and mountain range. Neighborhood was guite. A lovely drive into Coupeville. The house could use some updates.
We had a blast with our stay, and the owner was very responsive. When we first arrived I was worried that there wasn't a grill on the deck, but after contacting the owner, she quickly clarified that it had been stowed for the winter and we could find it in the garage. Burger night saved!
