Cozy cottage, with water views, steps from West Beach and Coral Sands Beach. A wonderful family community with many recreational activities in the area. Many popular seafood, and Italian Restaurants as well as shopping outlets. Large boating Marina and Elks Club also very close to the cottage. Two casinos, Moheghan Sun and Foxwoods, 45 min from cottage. Shopping Outlet in Westbrook and Clinton. Marquee Cinemas in town. Many antique shops to browse through. Please note: July, August and September (4 night minimum). No pets allowed.

Nice stay

Cottage was clean, owners were very responsive to our communications, owners gave us good tips on local restaurants and shopping, convenient location in close proximity to the water

Very quaint place.

This was the short getaway we needed. The only thing missing is a gas grill and maybe a DVD player since cable is limited. The cabin is clean and right near the beach. Loved location.

Simple, clean cottage steps from the beach

The property is an older cottage, but exactly what we were expecting. I stayed with my sister and 90-year old father, and we enjoyed the beach and several local restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped, and the house was neat and clean. The only issue we had was that the weather was quite hot, and the air conditioner in the house struggled to keep the bedrooms cool. Aside from that, our stay was great.

Perfect beach spot

The cottage was the perfect spot for my nephew’s wedding in Westbrook, and some beach time in-between. Coral Sands beach was really great and a short walk. Dave was very responsive and answered our questions quickly. We would stay again if ever down that way.

Staying at the beach

This rustic cottage has all the amenities you need to just show up and enjoy your stay. We were close to shopping for our teens, seafood dining and steps away from west beach for strolling in the sand and watching the sunset. We relaxed on the decks - one with a brisk salt air breeze and a back deck that was a bit more sheltered from the breezes.

Steps from a lovely beach. Room enough for the 3 of us. No AC in July made it very hot. There are fans provided.

Nice location

All went well and enjoyed our stay . Husband had back surgery x 2 in past year. The areas of raised flooring in house were a concern /trip hazard. Neighbors very friendly, nice community 👍

Location, location, location

If you are looking for a beachy beAch experience, this is the place for you! The cottage has a wonderful wrap around deck allowing all to sit in the sun, view the water or have a meal on the fresh air. Both the public and private beach are basically at the end of street one house away! Low tide exposes sand bars allowing all to walk out to the small islands!!!

Wonderful weekend on the beach

We had a great weekend with the beach a stone throw away!! Our 10 year old daughter and 13 year old son had there own little rooms in this quaint beach house. We were able to walk to most places and had less than a 2 mile drive to anything that was a little too far to walk to. Donna and David are great hosts, the beach is great, and the neighborhood is friendly. We had a well needed wonderful weekend.

Hidden gem on West Beach in Westbrook!

Just as advertised, quaint cottage with open floorplan, beachy decor and short walk to shore. Communication was fast thru the VRBO app. The deck umbrella needed repair and owner was quick to respond and replace. Having a full kitchen, charcoal grill, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms so close to shore (0.1m) makes this property a hidden gem! Three window fans and 2 oscillating fans allowed for plenty of air circulation while we vacationed last week of Aug. As Elks members we frequented the lodge close-by for lunch and dinner, as well as Bill’s Seafood, Lobster Landing and Shanks. I hope the owners rent it out next year as we cannot wait to come back!

Relax in Rustic Charm

My stay at this cottage was very enjoyable. The first part of the week I spent with my family and the rest with girlfriends. Everyone loved the picturesque area and how quiet and breezy the cottage felt at night. We enjoyed making breakfast in the morning after a comfortable night's sleep and then heading across the street to one of the two beaches available to us. Coral Sands is a great little private beach and usually we were one of two or three families there. The Clinton and Tanger outlets are really close if you want to shop. There is a movie theater in the Tanger mall in case of a rainy day. Evenings we had our choice from plenty of good restaurants just a short drive away. The owners are wonderful people to work with. This was a great value!

Made the most of a dated, well apportioned cottage

We knew there wouldn't be air conditioning and misjudged how hot that meant the cottage would be at night even with fans blowing. The sink, toilet, and shower were all dated and could use an update to make the place nicer. How about a spare roll of toilet paper? And no spare tissue box or paper towel. These little details matter. The cottage was clean and well apportioned. Not a great choice for the middle of summer given the lack of A/C. Knowing guests would use the fans, could the fans have been cleaned up? They were full of dust and looked like they haven't been used for years. Location was great and the neighborhood was quiet. Compared to the other high-end hotels in the area, this was a good deal. Communication with the owners was easy and fast.

The day we were suppose to check in the owner calls to tell us that he has to reimburse our money and cancel our reservation due to electrical issue. He was so rude and did not care how inconvenient it was to cancel at the last minute. Also he said guess left a note there was an electrical issue at 11am. We were suppose to check in at 3pm. Cleaning practice states there is a 24 hour vacancy between guess. Thats a lie and inconsiderate. When voicing my concerns he hung up the phone in my face. So unprofessional, unpleasant and disrespectful!!!!!!

Lovely

The minute we walked in we were at home . The casual beach theme, clean and extremely comfortable beds and linens were the magic touch for sure. We would go back hands down . No fuss no problems just a real nice experience . Why would anyone ever want to stay in a stuffy hotel when they could spread out and really relax while on vacation or just attending a family function like us .Thanks well done Donna and David ! End of Summer Relaxation Week @ Beach
