Our 7 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home featuring endless hot water, attached two car garage and 2.5 acre yard including a private playground and fire-pit, is perfect for large groups including family reunions, sports teams, school field trips, corporate retreats and hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Spacious driveway provides plenty of free parking for all.

We are centrally located to many popular locations in The Four Corners Area.

Amazing!

This beautiful home was perfect for our big family vacation! We skied in Purgatory and spent time in Durango. Perfect location and there was plenty of room for all of us ranging from 4 months to 65 years old! The basement was awesome for the kids and the kitchen had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Wonderful ski vacation home!

This house was absolutely wonderful! Close enough to Purgatory and had so much room. We loved that we had plenty of room and amenities to help in our stay The home owners were easy to work with and we definitely will try to revisit this house! Thanks for the hospitality!

Amazing Place to Stay

I would definitely stay here again. Enough beds and bathrooms for all 17 of us. Everything you could possibly need was provided for us. Well stocked kitchen!! The kids enjoyed the yard and played outside in the playhouse and on the swings. The toys and games in the basement were a plus!! We loved playing ping pong!!

Great house for big gatherings!

Was visiting the area for a sad event, and it was so comforting to have a place that was clean and well-stocked to go. Really grateful for this host for letting us use their beautiful home.

Beautiful family stay, spacious, spectacular views, great sleep!

As one of the worn out matriarchs of this group of 20+, my favorite experience was the jetted tub in the master suite! It's HUGE and wonderful! The open kitchen and spacious layout allowed our group to spread out and come together. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the monster grill~nice firepower! The patio and huge yard was great for the little kids to run off all their energy while the adults relaxed. Plenty of screens for young and old; the teenagers and young adults loved the gameroom~an excellent bonus for all. Communication was great and we kept it simple. 5 star stay at a beautiful, spacious sturdy home with quality furniture, bedding and thoughtful appointments. Well organized and not cluttered.

Family Fun

We had a lot of family coming and going. There was space for all of us. The house was located close to a lot of fun activities that kept us all entertained. We enjoyed being able to come back to the house and relax in between all of our adventures.

Clean accommodations between Durango and Mesa Verde

My sister and I came with our families. We came with babies and young children. The house was very comfy and offered places to lounge and play games and be together. It's a short 20+ min drive into Durango and 30+ min drive over to Mesa Verde. The hosts have been quick to respond regarding lost items. Loved their messages all over the house explaining the expectations written in a light hearted and fun manner. We loved our visit to this part of the country. Thank you!!!

Great place

We got this place because of the price and space. It delivered. We had plenty of space and it was well worth the value. I would even call it a deal! The owners were prompt with any questions. It is a good location to do Durango, Mesa Verade, Silverton. The one day it snowed, some of our party went south to avoid it and enjoyed the day in near by Aztec. Would definitely stay here again as we loved the area and are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

Great house for our 20!

Flawless. What an amazing property for our four families! Traveled from Dallas, Abilene, and Lubbock for skiing and experiencing Durango. Chose this location for the plains instead of the near mountains so we might miss the snow but have it near by. Played in Hesperus, skied in Pergatory, and shopped and ate in Durango. And Connie was the best hostess ever!

Durango Train Ride

We had a family of 20 going to Durango to ride the train to Silverton. This house was perfect! About 19 miles to Durango but a nice drive. The host thought of everything this was the best stocked house we’ve stayed in. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t already there. Our twenty had plenty of room and we loved the rustic furniture. We would highly recommend for a large group.

Family vacation

First family trip using a VRBO and we had a great experience, plenty of space for 8 adults and 6 children under the age of 6yrs with additional rooms to spare. The kids had a blast, the property manager Connie was great, the house was beautiful, would definitely recommend!

Family Reunion

We enjoyed our stay overall. The backyard was a nice space for our extended family to gather, but it was a little awkward having a video camera out there watching us the whole time. We had difficulty cooling the basement to a comfortable temperature in July. The trash was overflowing because it didn't get picked up the week before. Some of the rooms were a little cramped with the sloping ceilings.

Family Reunion

Great house. We held a family reunion with 23 people from several states, ID, VA & TX. Everyone enjoyed the house. The front yard had no grass, I'm sure due to drought, but they had a nice area in the back with grass, which we used for cornhole & visiting. There is a great firepit in the back which we couldn't use due to a fire ban, swing set and place house for the small children. Only down side for us was it quite a jaunt to Durango where we were doing a lot of our plans. Mesa Verde is fairly close to Durango where we wanted to go, along with a float trip. The house had lots of towels, extra sheets, paper goods & lots of extra condiments, I'm sure leftover from other stays. We used some things, left some things, like napkins & paper towels. Had some guests leaving after I did with instructions on what to do before they left, hoping they did them. Lots of beds and bathrooms, extra frig in the garage which we needed. I would recommend the house to anyone that has a large group.

Had a family reunion here that was super meaningful to us. Setting is spectacular, house was perfect and views are breathtaking. Host was phenomenal and our entire family is already talking about coming back. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Family Reunion

We had 21 people from the ages of 3 to 70 stay for five days at this wonderful property. It’s a quick 25 minute drive to Durango, where we spent two days. One of them at Purgatory resort, and one taking the train from Durango to Silverton. Both of them we highly recommend. One of the days we ventured over to Mesa Verde and also had a great time. Property is exactly how it’s listed. There was more than enough room for all of us. The next time we come back to Durango, we will definitely try to book this property!

Couldn't be more Perfect!

The house was just as we expected and was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. There were 24 with our 3 daughters, their children and one great grandchild. We still had extra beds. We rode the train, went to the Chuckwagon, and the hot springs, and went to Mesa Verde. Durango was about 20 minutes away and everything as so beautiful. Our pictures at the firepit making s'mores are great.

Family Reunion

This place was perfect for our family reunion. It was farther away from the tourist attractions than we thought, but it was far enough away that the kids could play night games and not disturb anyone. The swing set was a hit, as well as the fire pit. It was clean, spacious, and very enjoyable. The host was accommodating and easy to work with. The check out process was quick and that was appreciated. Thanks so much for the stay and making our reunion that much better. My niece was not grumpy…which is unlike her. :-).

My husband grew up in the area and graduated from Durango High School. We both attended Fort Lewis College in Durango. We are using the property as a VRBO to accommodate a move to Utah to attend graduate school. The above picture is a few of our kids in a kiva at Spruce Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park.

Why they chose this property

We custom built our home here in 2005 to accommodate our 12 kids and be near family.

What makes this property unique

We have loved having a quiet, spacious yard with room to garden, ride the four-wheeler and go-kart, play on the swings, and have bonfires while enjoying the stars every summer. Sunrises and sunsets have been some of our favorite times to enjoy as a family.
