Beachfront Condo

Second-floor unit with kitchenette & one full bath in Carriage Stop; located steps from the beach

Sleeps 6 - Bedroom has one full bed, one bunk bed with a hidden trundle bed; Living room has a futon bed, 50-inch smart TV with Blue-ray DVD player; WiFi included; Ocean view from the balcony/common area; One-car parking; Wildwoods/Cape May area attractions minutes away; Public transportation available to the Wildwoods boardwalk and other attractions. Please note the following check-in details:
The condo is at Carraige Stops Condos, Wildwood Crest, NJ. It is on the second floor of the three-floor section of the building. The parking slot is right below the condo. Please back up your car and put it into the slot.
Check-in time is 3 PM, and check-out at 10 am.
Per HOA, no pets are allowed.
The lockbox code will be provided a day or two before your check-in. The unit key is in the lockbox.
Wi-Fi Access Point is hm7, password 402atlantic.
IMPORTANT: Please bring your bed sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and towels. There are two full beds and three twin beds.
The shower knob/handle is a little stiff. Pull this out and then turn for hot or cold water.
The trash dump is on the side of the property on Atlantic Ave.
Outdoor shower is on the side of the property. Please don’t bring sand into the apartment, as it can cause plumbing issues in the shower drain.
Please bring toilet paper and paper towels.
Please clean the kitchen, including pots and pans and the refrigerator, at your check-out.
At your check-out, please place the key back in the lockbox.

Great little place

Very cozy, since there is only one bedroom but worked just fine for our short stay. Clean, cute, great view of the ocean from the deck.

Clean, close to the beach, parking spot is very tight, bed was hard but overall we would rent this again.

Nice size place but suggestions: Need a bigger bed like a queen in bedroom, tub drained very slow, shower head needs to be replaced, we cleaned the air filters and bathroom sink drain very clogged. Frying pans need to be replaced. The pool was very well kept and the bbqs were great!

Weekend getaway

Apartment was just the right size to provide a "home base" for our weekend excursions. Beach access was very convenient, feet in the sand in 90 seconds!

Weekend in Wildwood

The location of this place is amazing, with it being just a short walk to the beach! It was also very clean. It was nice that utensils and dishes were provided, as well as a coffee maker.

Could be better

The place seem a bit bigger in the pictures but it was a disappointment. Place could be better cleaned. Beds have spots. And honestly for someone who charge all that money for a night you should invest in a shower head seriously. Shower is horrible.

I love this condo. It is like a two minute walk to the beach. The condo is located on a quiet, parking-friendly area. The neighbors are amazing. You have to bring your own sheets/towels/toiletries; but the owner is great at communicating everything and making the check in process very easy. Definitely staying again. Highly recommended!!!!!! 10/10.

Location Location Location

I cannot stress how close this is to the beach. I was able to enjoy sunrise at the beach before the family woke up. I found everything i needed in the kitchen and the bedroom had enough space for our family of 3. The property could be better with more comfortable mattresses and a good sofa. The AC was a bit loud and i am a light sleeper so that did bother me a bit. Overall we were able to put small inconveniences aside and enjoy the stay.

Just ok but check in process was a nightmare

Great location in WWC. That’s the good part. Condo very outdated and smell is bad, like urine and mildew. There was a dryer sheet stuck in the air conditioning unit when we arrived so previous guests were struggling too. Pillows on the couch were literally filthy. We were left with no check in info for over three hours and couldn’t get in despite me messaging asking for it days prior. You have to bring sheets and towels which I didn’t see nor expect for a VRBO so we had to go out and buy them. For what I spent on the place definitely was not worth it.

Beach Block is NOT Ocean Front

In the NJ shore area, there are very specific meanings to terms "Ocean View" "Ocean Block" and "Ocean Front" Ocean Front means that the front of your unit is directly facing the beach. This property is listed as Ocean Front. It is 3 buildings off the beach with no view of the water. The neighborhood is a good one for kids. Owner made a point of listing that all the dishes we needed would be there. Some were, but there was only 1 fork. No working can opener. No working corkscrew. The woman who cleans/manages the place, Linda, is a peach!

Linens and towels are not provided. This information needs to be added to the property listing. I found out only minutes before leaving home and was lucky enough to bring my own sheets and towels, but I see now that others have not been so lucky. You never know where someone is traveling from or when they left home, so this is vital information when booking. Aside from that, it was lovely to be so close to the beach and the place was clean and comfortable. If you have a big car and the rest of the lot is full, the parking spot will be really hard to back into.

Great proximity to the beach

What I loved about this place was mainly how close it was to the beach. However, the condo was very outdated, you have take your own bedsheets/pillow cases/blankets. There was no mop in the premises to dry the floor after coming out the shower or coming back from the beach/pool. The shower curtains had mold which was disgusting. I tried using the stove and te range keep turning off on me which ended up ruining my food. Overall, this place was not what I expected or worth what I paid for. We decided to stay an extra day and ended up renting a motel not too far and I would go there instead of this condo. As I mentioned the only great thing about it is how close it is to the beach.

Amazing location - condo needs significant updates

The location was ideal. We’ve stayed in a different condo in this same location and it is a 1 minute walk to the beach, 5 min drive to the boardwalk, and 12 minutes to Cape May. Property owner was out of the country but responsive, and there is an on property woman who handled property questions when he was away - Linda was a doll. Electric double burner cooktop was broken first day (a single electric burner was left to plug in) but electrician came the next morning and replaced the cooktop. Ice maker does not work. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the unit. Very old worn unclean furniture (very dusty drawers, closet with dirty mattress covers and pillows on the floor, dirty doors/walls, full sized bed was broken, dingy and dirty floors requiring shoes 24/7 despite cleaning service having come prior to visit, and the bathroom was in need of a cleaning when we came in. Ideal location - condo needs work.

Expectations were not met

I was just looking for affordable accommodations for me and my kids, so my expectations were not high to begin with. The lady who welcomed us was very nice (not the unit owner). The inside of the unit was a bit run-down and dingy and could use a deep cleaning. I noticed right away that the beds were not made (no bedding at all) and there were no bath towels to be found. The lady who welcomed us invited us to her unit if we had any questions/concerns, so I asked her about the sheets and towels--she said none were provided, didn't the owner tell us that? No, the owner did not tell us and it is not advertised that way on VRBO--it was very inconvenient to say the least! Then the kids and I spent some time blowing up our floaties for the pool and one of the ladies sitting there scolded us and said we could not use them because of Covid, didn't the owner tell us that? Once again, NO, the owner did not tell us that. Also, the kitchen sink never fully drains, and the shower leaks all over the floor every time it is used, even when the liner is pulled tight inside. Very disappointing experience.
