Welcome to The Getaway TX!
Be it one person - a couple - family - etc. you will be able to truly 'getaway' from the hustle & bustle of every day life. What you choose to do on your getaway is up to you!

This cozy lake cabin is nestled on the back of a 1/2 acre wooded lot that provides great shade, privacy and a peekaboo view of the lake in the winter! The cabin has new hardwood flooring, great central heat/air, full kitchen, board games, gas grill, indoor fire stove, outdoor fire pit, etc. The driveway reaches the main cabin & is over 20yards long, with a slight curve that starts in the middle...there are two individual parking spots off the main driveway as well.

There is one large bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, dual closets, small writing desk, and space for overflow sleeping for cots or an air mattress in the open spaces.

The property also includes a second, detached bedroom. Max number for guest-room use is 2 guests. It includes a queen size bed, dresser, seating, and an AirCon (A/C & Heat). *The guest room does not have its own restroom, which is in the main cabin.

Enjoy the large living area in the main cabin which is surrounded by windows on three sides, and has great views of the property. (There is more than enough room for an air mattress or two in the living room as well if you prefer.)

The front patio is a great chillaxing spot with a small two seat table & additional bench. The patio is a few feet away from your propane grilling station, spots for relaxing in tree hammocks, hanging out by the fire pit, taking off for a walk or day out, etc!

The property also includes a laundry room with a large front load washer/dryer & stores various tools, beach chairs, water inflatables, life vests, propane tank, etc.

Our bonus amenities include two kayaks (one fishing style), two paddle boards, yard/beach chairs, life vests (for all ages and sizes), water inflatables + air pump and boogie boards.

Our neighborhood includes it's own community marina boat launch & cove area. The marina is a short 12 minute walk from the property (or few minute drive). A nice way to see the various properties in the neighborhood. The boat launch area also has a small dock and there is room for vehicle parking. Please let us know if you plan on bringing a boat so that we may provide additional information.

**If you have an ATV, Side-by-Side, etc type vehicle, the neighborhood is very friendly for those types of toys...and you'll typically see more of them pass by than cars/trucks.

While the property is setup for smaller groups there are various sized rentals in the neighborhood that we can help find for larger or mixed groups.

- Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge (15min drive)
- Lake Tours, Sunset Dinner Cruises, Sandbar Islands, Golfing, Great Fishing, water toys, trails, not far from shopping & amenities!

- Boat Rentals, Kayaks, Guided Fishing Tours, Lake Tours, Sunset Dinner Cruise, Jet Skis, etc. at nearby marinas!

Small towns...
Just over an hour from the DFW area, about 20mins from Durant OK & Choctaw Casino, 15mins to Dennison/Sherman areas.

******PLEASE READ REGARDING 2ND BEDROOM:
2nd bedroom is about 15-feet across from the front porch of the main cabin. Guest bedroom does have A/C & internet connectivity, no bathroom (bathroom in main cabin with primary bedroom, kitchen, living area)

**WORK FROM HOME, INFO -The getaway has great internet/WIFI to accommodate our work from home guests! Not a bad spot to be at when you are off the clock! Cell phone reception on the property is great even off WIFI. We include a a 24" Roku smart TV that can also be used as a computer monitor and is light weight and easy to place where you'd like in the house (bring your HDMI cable). The dining table in the kitchen can double as a work desk if needed, and is easily movable into the spacious living area (with great surrounding window views).
