We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin it is secluded but close to lots of attractions which is what we were looking for and the sound of the babbling brook was so relaxing and we enjoyed the fire pit and had an endless supply of wood. The only thing is only one window has a screen the others are either missing or ripped but since it cooled down at night it wasn’t a problem.Its a great place to stay if you want to be secluded and enjoy an older cabin.
Cabin was not ready upon arrival, took days to get ahold of owner, communication was unprofessional, cabin was not fully cleaned even after having to wait. Cleaner (Pam) was very apologetic and kind, however, communication between her and owner was confusing and mixed. Cabin is located in a nice secluded area.
Second time renting, and we really like this place!
Great cabin not fancy, but perfect for us! Love the area. Only request would be for the owner to be able to list the available dates accurately and in real time! We will rent this getaway a third time soon! Thanks for having us!
Our stay was FANTISTIC, me and my 4 buddies had a great time. We were on motorcycles and the location was great for that. Just down the road from the Kanc, not to far to Conway. Easy to get to where we wanted to ride. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a quiet place to send time in the Conway area. If still availlable next year me and my friends will be back.
Host was communicative. The listing is accurate in that the cabin has a retro feel. We loved making a fire in the fireplace. The brook behind the house is beautiful to listen to. It is conveniently located where you are close to town but secluded enough to feel like you’re in the woods.
This is a nice cozy cabin. It’s what you need, none of the fancy nonsense.
If you’re looking for a WiFi enhanced experience with a big screen tv you’re probably not looking for a cabin in the woods in New Hampshire anyways are you?
We were very pleased with the cabin, There were a few coments we made to help the next people comming in . we wish we had axcess to one of the grills, we found beaters but no mixer,also a set of bowls would help. The beds were very comfortable, we loved the sound of the brook. Very relaxing.

Beautiful Getaway!!
When we arrived the hosts were such wonderful people and they explained everything about the cabin and even gave us some history. I was so glad to see they were very nice people. The cabin was fully stocked (except food of course) and had everything we needed and more. The atmosphere was relaxing and I didn't want to leave. The brook right outside the cabin made the visit even more relaxing. The fireplace inside was very beautiful and romantic. It was very quiet. We wanted a getaway that was nature oriented and we got it!! I would recommend this place to all my friends and family!!

Motorcycling NH from The Cabin
Sweet! What a lovely cabin with central location to N Conway yet totally isolated. We were there primarily to tour NH on our motorcycles with a place to rest our heads at night, perfect ! The cabin is in the woods with a babbling brook so dampness and cobwebs are to be expected yet a real bed not sleeping on the ground of a campsite YES! Truly provides a wilderness experience with an outside fire pit and is within 500ft of Rte 16 (although you would never know it). Inside is a lovely living area with fridg, stove and living room with fireplace. Comfy beds. It's certainly not the spit shine of the Ritz but if rustic is what you are looking for BOOK IT!
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but would not return. The cabin is extremely rustic, no wifi or cell phone signal, but great heating system. Host was very kind and had the caretaker meet us to let us in and show us around. The brook behind the cabin was a major highlight! Location is close to a lot of hiking and skiing.
The bedding was stained in multiple places, when I looked for additional bedding to replace, it was also stained. The cabin also had a very strange odor, as if someone had been smoking in it and sprayed a bunch of chemicals to cover it up. Host asked us to bring our own drinking water, but later discovered the tap was completely safe and that some folks said it tasted metallic. No trash removal on site, must take all waste with you.
We stayed at this cozy cabin for the Christmas and New Year holidays. The property was located far from the busy highways in a secluded area with no neighbors, the only thing we could hear was the serene river flowing alongside the cabin. The host made sure we had everything we needed, and the driveway was properly cleared of snow for us. There was an abundance of firewood to use to keep us warm and the fireplace was very well built to prevent smoke from entering the home. There were a few cable channels that kept us entertained, but we wished we brought some dvds to put in the player when we came back from town. North Conway area is great for antique shopping and skiing. It's has an abundance of mountain and sporting stores. There is a small beginner mountain 20 minutes nearby called King Pine. We would definitely would want to come back in the future.

Wonderful, cozy house by babbling brook
Our stay at the house by a babbling brook was wonderful! The owners were extremely nice when we met them for the key and a tour of their property. We were 4 adults and a dog staying in this cozy house in august. It was very peaceful being in the woods and listening to the water run in the brook that was behind the house. Our dog loved that he had plenty of room to run and play fetch and that there was a crystal clear brook he could swim and wade in. After going on many hikes and exploring in near by towns, we really enjoyed coming back to the house to relax by the fire place. There was also a little fire pit outside with a picnic table. The house had everything we needed. There were extra quilts incase it got cool at night, extra towels, plenty of firewood, coffee and kerig maker. We were mainly in NH for outdoor adventure such as hiking, canoeing, and fishing. There are plenty of places in close driving distance from the house. Their was also many stores in close driving distance to shop on a rainy day. We definitely plan on renting here again. Thank you to Paul and Barbara (the owners) for renting to us. The Dwyer's and Murphy the dog🐾
Beautiful property that can have so much more potential.
Pros:
* Cozy - especially the living room.
* Fully functional kitchen.
* Fully functional bathroom.
* No issues with ants.
* Close to North Conway.
* Fresh towels and linens.
* Main bedroom bed is super comfy.
Cons:
* Windows are antiquated - some windows open, some have screens, some can't open. Should be replaced.
* There are two fans in the house. We had to purchase an extra to try and cool down during the evenings.
* Couches in the living room need steam cleaning and then a cover that can be washed after each stay.
* Pillows and blankets on the couches need serious cleaning or replacement.
* Cleaner that is hired does not vacuum, wash floors, clean cobwebs, sweep floors, etc.
* Back bedroom mattresses on bunk bed and queen are very uncomfortable. Need to be replaced.
* Chairs in the living room need steam cleaning and a cover.
* Living room lights (side of couch) and back bedroom light need servicing.
* Oven needs cleaning.
This house is exactly as pictured. It is rustic and quaint, a step or 2 up from camping. The location is lovely with the bubbling brook. There is a "pool" in the brook right behind the house for cooling off in. There are tubes that you can use to bump/float down the brook to a second sandy area. It is quiet and down a dirt road off the main street. There is an unused quarry road next to the property which I hiked up with the dog and we even saw a bear at the top!
The location is central with easy to access Conway/N. Conway and the amenities there. There is NO WIFI (as listed in the description) and VERY LITTLE SERVICE for phones/internet. There is a small TV with a few channels if you need that. The kitchen is clean and stocked with anything needed. There is a double bed and a twin over double bunk bed in one bedroom and a double bed in the other bedroom-the double bed mattress is over a smaller boxspring which was fine for one sleeper but may be harder for 2. The bathroom was clean but dark in the shower. There is a nice screened porch stocked with firewood for the fireplace or outside firepit. There are a few folding chairs as well.
My only real complaint is that most of the screens in the house were broken which made it impossible to open any windows for some breeze. We stayed on a very hot weekend and there is no AC. There are fans provided however which helped. Bring bugspray in the summer as you are in the woods! Have fun :)

Where are those 5 stars reviews coming from?
The cabin is located in great location! That is the only good part of it. My family had rented SEVERAL houses, apartments, cabins from VRBO and other similar sites (that is also why I don't hesitate to compare to others), but this one is kind of impossible to rate on rating scale. Where all those 5 star ratings came from? I have no intentions to hurt the owners by posting this review! Paul and Barbara were trying to be helpful (Barbara explained how everything works, Paul called several times to make sure everything is ok). I have to say that Terry's review is VERY accurate. I didn't want to believe it when I was choosing this location. (I thought that is "THAT GUY" who is crazy and picky) Not at all, he is very right on point! I wouldn't mind cobwebs everywhere, some dirt here and there, but there is several bigger issues. That cabin needs serious update on everything. Water is #1! Paul called us (after we paid) and advised us to purchase drinking water. Water there is unsafe to even wash yourself in! There are mice inside the house, dirty dishes, there is no heat in main bedroom, mold (not a dampness!) smells through everywhere! Couches in living room are far beyond faded (they are very dirty), stained pillows...you can go on. It's only matter of time when somebody will bring it up/ higher than just me giving it poor review. My husband couldn't believe it is serious rental- he is EPA inspector. I wouldn't recommend to go there if you have small kids!! Wouldn't definitely go back and wouldn't recommend to anybody! I really don't want to hurt the owners, but this way incomparable to the other properties.
