Classy cottage style 2 bedroom, 1 bath single family home.
Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and a wonderful Heat Pump provides for both warmth or air conditioning! Fun, comfortable furnishings to make you feel right at home. Living room features a sectional sofa, two cute chairs and an electric fireplace. Also, a 40' Smart "ROKU" TV, NETFLIX- all available for FREE and games for adults and kids. Fun, functional kitchen with full size stove, dishwasher and refrigerator, microwave, toaster, pots/pans - dish service for 8, silverware for 8, wine glasses, water glasses - a fully stocked kitchen to cover most, if not all, of your needs. Two bedrooms, each with queen sized beds. The larger room has a wonderful custom iron bed with comfortable linens and great bedroom set with ample drawers and a small closet to store all your personal belongings. The lovely second bedroom with vaulted ceiling offers a queen size bed, with comfortable linens and a closet to store your personal belongs. The full size bathroom features a bath/shower combination, amazing water heater, towels, hand towels and a variety of wash clothes for you and your guests. Also included is a full size front loading washer and dryer, why go home with dirty clothes? The spacious yard is fully fenced, front and back, with small porch area with a patio set that has seats for 4. A darling fire-pit area with Adirondack Chairs for gatherings - for those wanting to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The house is steps away from Webster park, and just a few blocks away from Swains (which has everything), downtown Port Angeles, shops, grocery stores, and some restaurants. A short drive to numerous hiking/biking trails/Olympic Discovery Trail and Hurricane Ridge, just to name a few. Only a couple of blocks from the Black Ball Ferry, that takes you to the "Gateway to Canada" - Victoria, B.C. This is one of the best locations in town and may be the classiest cottage you'll find in the area! Cute, classy and comfy!

Cozy family vacation

We had a wonderful time. There were a lot more things to do in Port Angeles than I remember, and the house was cozy and clean. The location was great. The beds were very comfortable. We hope to stay here again!

Oh Happy Days Stay!

This was a cute little house in the city with everything we needed. My husband & I love to have a kitchen available and a nice place to rest after a long day. It was a short walk to many places and it was great to return to the cozy couch. We truly missed out on using the beautiful backyard due to rain. Would definitely return in sunnier weather.

Cute house!

This was the perfect little place to stay for the weekend. We cooked dinner both night's with family that lives in PA and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great backyard that was fenced in. Very comfortable and homey!!

Super Clean and cozy cabin fully stocked with everything you may need. Would definitely stay her again. It was a great touch to have the Christmas tree lit up when we first entered the cabin.

Lovely, dog-friendly stay in Port Angeles

Cute house with wonderful fenced in yard! Located right next a park, it is was a peaceful place to be based out of for our visit to Olympic NP. Neighborhood was walkable with several coffee shops nearby. House was well-appointed with all you would need for a stay.

Great base for exploring Olympic National Park

Cute little nest

This was the perfect transition point between San Juan Island and Victoria. We had a day here in between and hiked Hurricane Ridge. It was so close! And being 4 minutes from the ferry made our early morning easy.

This house and property were so cute. The kitchen had everything that you could possibly need. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. The owner was well organized the description of the property was very accurate. She was good with communication. We had a lovely stay!

Felt like staying at grandmas

First of all, the place was clean. That’s always the most important. But on that same note, it also smelled heavily of dog. It was the first thing we noticed when we walked in. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. The bed and bedding was comfortable. It was a cute home and I liked the old wood floors- reminiscent of my grandmother’s home. But overall the home needed major updates. It felt very much like “grandma passed so what do we do with her home now”. Decor was very outdated. Towels were old. Yard was very well kept. We didn’t use the back yard but there was a nice fire pit if we’d wanted to. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. Hosts had a nice welcome note on the fridge for us and a detailed instruction book. It was

Fantastic rental

My husband, son and I loved our stay at this cute little house in Port Angeles. The house was perfect for us, and absolutely spotless upon arrival. My son loved having his own room, vs a pull-out couch in a hotel room. We enjoyed the comfort of the large sectional in the living room, and a sit down table in the dining room (vs counter stools in other rentals). The backyard with chairs and a fire pit was also a bonus. Diane was quickly available for any questions we had and checked in with us before we reached out to her. As for Port Angeles, it’s a great little town with a lively waterfront area, and some great restaurants. We especially liked the beer and artisan pizza at Barhop. Also the Buena Luz bakery had great coffee and treats. We appreciated the proximity to the beautiful Olympic National park, as well as some great spots along the coast like Murdoch, which weren’t part of the park. I can definitely see us coming back sometime.

Just Delightful!

This property is well appointed and very comfortable. Everything was clean and easy to find. The decor is adorable... there was something in every room to make us smile. Two suggestions: I've never used detergent pods and the checkout instructions indicated that we should start a load of towels before leaving. I wasn't sure if the pod should go in the dispenser or be thrown in with the towels. Instructions for this would be helpful. The other is that there are smudges on the TV screen. I don't allow anyone else to clean our screens, so I didn't want to touch it, but that might be something to take a look at between guests. Such minor nits... we loved this home and we feel privileged to have been able to stay there!

Charming Get-Away

My family comfortably enjoyed our 3-night stay here. The property was clean, modestly furnished, and was supplied with everything we needed. It felt more like a well cared for home than a rental property. The backyard and firepit were quite inviting. The master bed provided a very comfortable nights sleep, and my teenagers liked the softer bed in the second bedroom. However, the kitchen could use a bit of updating, and I would suggest less "extras" in the kitchen and bathroom to help it feel less cluttered. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay, and would recommend for others as well.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our time Oh Happy Day in Port Angeles. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The fenced in yard was amazing, our doggies loved the space! Close enough to downtown to walk and conveniently located for trips to Olympic National Park.

Peaceful Retreat in Port Angeles

Cute and charming 2 bedroom on quiet dead-end street. Easy parking outside and not a lot of traffic on the side streets. Convenient location and walking distance to downtown and ferry terminal (15-20 minutes) and 2 blocks from a pharmacy. Unit was well stocked with cooking supplies, full size refrigerator, condiments, and everything you would need to prepare full meals. Beds were very comfortable, and the curtains/blinds were very good at blocking light to make the room dark for sleeping. Bedrooms were very quiet at night; we never heard any traffic noise or noise from neighbors. A soft sided cooler was available to take on day trips. Recycling bin is out back for paper and plastic recycling products. Owner was very easy to reach when we had questions. We loved staying here and will rent this cottage again if we are in Port Angeles.

My name is Diane and I was born in Glasgow, Scotland, grew up in Newport Beach, California and currently am living here again. I moved to Port Angeles in 2008 and sadly had to move in 2014 to be with my family (which isn't sad! Leaving Port Angeles was sad). I'm enjoy my life in California and love visiting my home and friends in Port Angeles - I am pretty lucky to have two great places to live!

Why they chose this property

I bought this house because I love it. I love the solidness of this little house which was built in approx. the 1920's and completely remodeled in 1999 (that's when the previous owner put in the cute cottage styled cabinets). I walked into this house and bought it within the hour. It has a peacefulness then, as it does now. The view of the trees from the kitchen windows are unobstructed which gives the impression of being more isolated and private, which I love. It is a warm, cozy place that I feel most people appreciate when they are in it. I only decided to put in on VRBO so when I come back to Port Angeles, I can stay here as well! I couldn't do that when it was a "standard" rental.

What makes this property unique

This "Oh Happy Day Cottage" is just that and I think sharing it with people coming to Port Angeles will want to make you all come back! I truly want every person who stays in my cottage to feel the same peacefulness that I feel and know I've done all I can to make it so for you. If you want one of the best locations in Port Angeles, this is the cottage for you.
