Property just as described; very responsive owners.

My husband and I spent one month at the Blue Pelican. Everything was as described on the listing. Very well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, all appliances worked well. The lanai, right on the lake, with pool and hot tub was our favorite spot. Very relaxing and quiet.When I realized I had left some medication after checking out, Ingrid was very responsive, as was the housekeeper, Sue, who contacted me and arranged to have my meds sent to my home. I would recommend the Blue Pelican to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation and a super responsive host.

So relaxing!

We had an amazing stay. The property was so clean (we actually got there early and Sue was cleaning). She was so nice. Ingrid, our host, was so amazing with her communication to us before, during and after. The house was perfect for two couples. The pool and hot tub were clean and we used them every day. Our only regret was that we didn’t have a longer trip planned. If you are questioning whether to book or not, don’t worry, do it, you won’t be disappointed!

Four Night Stay

I very rarely do VRBO or similar so it always feels a bit strange to me to be inside someone else's home. That being said it was a very nice place as everyone has detailed in other reviews. I got in one good day and then had bad luck with the weather. (can I pay extra for good weather next time?) But even on rainy days you can go around and try to figure out which light switch does what. *Tip - the pool light is behind the lamp in the living room. That one took me awhile. Really enjoyed the pool and was able to enjoy the hot tub when it got unseasonable cool the last night. But with the bad weather came some really impressive sunsets. Wish I could post pictures! Overall, great spot, super private, relaxing and the host seems to be as prompt and available as any person could be. Hope to be back!

Super Stay

We stayed for three nights. Wonderful location, super clean and had everything you needed. The spa was really nice and the pool looked nice but we didn’t have a chance to use it. The lights around the property make for an enchanted evening. Great place to stay.

A Perfect Gem

The Blue Pelican is every bit a five star property! We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing week in this lovely home. The screened in pool deck with heated pool, hot tub, and comfortable seating options made a perfect spot to while away the hours. We especially enjoyed watching the sun set over the lake. We did run into an unfortunate setback upon arrival, a problem which the owner worked diligently to resolve as quickly as possible. You will find the owner more than responsive to your needs. If you choose to stay at the Blue Pelican I’m sure you will be more than happy with your choice.

Stunning views & home

The home is very well appointed and in a great neighborhood, the lake is beautiful and peaceful. Ingrid is a kind, helpful & thoughtful host. Unfortunately most of the screens on the lanai were ripped or gone due to hurricanes so there were a lot of bugs in the pool and on the porches, so we were unable to utilize several aspects of the house.

A little slice of heaven

From the moment we walked into the Blue Pelican, we fell in love with the view! We came in search of relaxation and that’s exactly what we got! The pictures of the home were spot on with what you saw when you got there. The home was extremely clean and was well stocked with ANYTHING you could have wanted during your stay. Ingrid was EXTREMELY communicative with us before our stay with the 2 hurricanes that hit the area as well as during our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend renting this beautiful home.

Fantastic Villa, beautiful location

The Blue Pelican is a wonderful home from home with everything that you could wish for. Outstanding location close to all facilities and easy access to the Gulf, Fort Myers, Pine Island and Sanibel. Best Vacation Spot

Our stay was incredible. The pictures are spot on and the house and pool area are heavenly. To sit outside in the morning and have breakfast in the peace. relaxing in the pool in the afternoon was what we needed. At night it is so quiet and watching the sun go down, just puts a nice end to the day. If you are looking for the perfect getaway look no further this is best place to stay at. Ingrid and Jerry were very easy to communicate with and answered any question we had. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay wonderful and you have everything you would need. Ingrid and Jerry are the best host we have had and we will be back again.

Wonderful Repeat Stay

This was our second stay here.The house was just as Awesome as it was last year.The location is great with lot's of shopping and resteraunt's nearby. House was clean upon arrival.Ingrid is a Wonderful host to work with.She checked with Us via text to make sure We had no issue's.Tropical storm Debby came during our stay and Ingrid checked on Us before and after,Even with the rain We loved sitting in The partialy covered pool area. We spent most of our time there and on The dock by the lake watching Beautiful sunset's.You can fish right off the dock.We drove to FMB several time's which is about 25 minute's away.There is a lot do do in the area.But when not out sight seein'g and thing's the house is just wonderful. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of cookware/dishe's.We did a lot of cooking and grilling.Husband Love's the Huge reclining couch. With a bad back it was perfect for him to rest.The only bad part of our stay was having to leave. We hope We will be able to come again next year.Thank's again for sharing Your Beautiful home!

One of the Best!

Of all the vacation rentals we’ve had in Cape, this is by far the best. 5 star experience all around! The home was spotless clean when we arrived, everything worked and you felt at home immediately. Ingrid was the star of the show, she communicated promptly and was the best host we have ever had. You can tell she cares about the home and the experience deeply. The pool was great to relax in after a day at the beach and the view over the lake is beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood which is close to everything in south CC. Check-in was a breeze. Kitchen is very well equipped with more than enough to cook any meal. The outdoor grill was a treat to BBQ on a couple nights as well! We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to vacation in the Cape!

A great place to stay

Had a wonderful stay here. The home was clean and perfect. The pool was our favorite spot! My daughters and I loved the service window to the pool area. The owner was fantastic and answered any questions I had and was quick to respond. I will definitely stay here again!

The pictures do not give it justice!

Things we loved: 1) Lots of privacy from the road. You felt you were in your own private oasis! 2) A ton of information is waiting for you right when you walk in. 3) We loved the way Ingrid communicated and checked on us through our stay. 4) We did not even want to leave our little oasis...we absolutely loved the pool, and jacuzzi. Not to mention the VIEW! 5) The home came stocked with anything and everything you would ever need. Even a pizza pan! :) 6) Forget your towels, suntan lotion, sunscreen? Don't worry they had it! 7) We didn't get a chance for the games, books, or bikes but maybe we will get to that next time :) 8) We also loved we were so near to a great deal of shopping areas. The only thing that made us sad, was when it was time to leave. It was a perfect getaway for me, and my husband and we would love to go back and stay longer!

Little Slice of Heaven

We didn't want to leave this gorgeous home in such a lovely location. The house is so welcoming and comfortable and then you step outside and the view takes your breath away, you just have to gaze across the water watching the ospreys and the sunsets. Quiet, peaceful but very close to good quality amenities. Thank you both.

Gorgeous sunset views

A Cape Coral gem of a villa

We stayed at the villa in the last two weeks of May 2024. The weather was unusually hot but the design of the villa meant we could always find some shade if we wanted to. The outside furniture, sunbeds, tables and chairs were very comfortable and of a high standard. The kitchen had every tool you would wish for, it even has a grapefruit cutter. We had a very large american SUV but it fitted into the garage comfortably. The swimming pool was clean and set at a very comfortable temperature. The lakeside view was uninterrupted by the cage as can be seen by the pictures and the open space meant we got the benefit of any breezes. The location was very good for access to shops and restaurants. We are in our 70s and we have stayed in many villas around the world, this place is one of the best and we will be coming back again provided this review doesn’t cause the rental price to go up.

Relaxing Paradise

The Blue Pelican was truly a warm and welcoming home away from home. The pool, jacuzzi, and deck area provided hours of relaxation and the sunset view every evening was absolutely magical. While the home is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, it is very close to many restaurants and downtown area. Ingrid was nothing but a pleasure to work with and made the whole process very easy.

Peaceful and relaxing

We spent 5 nights relaxing in this lovely villa within a quiet neighborhood and only 30 minutes from the Ft. Myers airport. The home was very well maintained and furnished. The lanai was perfect to cool down on the warm days. We would love to return there in the future.

Beautiful and Relaxing!

This was the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We loved the lanai with a pool and jacuzzi overlooking the lake. Very quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants and beaches. House was clean, comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed. Ingrid is a fantastic host and checked in to make sure everything was as expected. Only problem was that our stay was too short!

Excellent place to relax and unwind

Our stay was absolutely incredible. I love this property the view is outstanding, super quiet neighborhood, close to any place that you want to go see. Beautiful Getaway

Ingrid and Jerry's Cape Coral home is absolutely beautiful. Tastefully decorated and all of the comforts of home and then some!! Beautiful lanai, pool and jacuzzi! There are also bicycles to use which is an added bonus. Ingrid and Jerry are wonderful hosts and easy to communicate with. My son and I had a wonderful vacation here!

Ingrid grew up in Europe and worked in Germany, England, and France before coming to the USA where she was awarded the Doctor of Education degree. Jerry is a honored veteran of the Vietnam War, a sharp-shooter, and in later years investigated for the Inspector General’s office of the Army. He retired from Lucent Technologies (now Nokia).

We take great care of guests who have booked the Blue Pelican resort style holiday home for their vacations, honeymoons, and workations. We believe that when you book our home, your stay will be enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable. We look forward to welcoming you to paradise.

Why they chose this property

We were familiar with the area and always desired to be at the lake in a large home. It had all the features we were looking for: Great location, sunset view, secure and quiet area. It met all of the quality requirements, roomy and spacious, had great layout, high ceilings, view of the lake from all rooms, and a garage hidden from street. Much work would be required, but well worth the effort. The transformation was completed when we added the pool and deck area to make it our private resort, now available also as a vacation home on Vrbo, also.
