absolutely perfect. We stayed for 4 days during an extended family trip out east, and it was the perfect location to tour the cape cod area. it is located near the main bridge that is sort of the "starting point" to get to all of cape cod, so it was not as busy as some areas, but perfect for getting to/from the locations we visited around cape cod. it was also located on a great view of a bay, with a nice deck to enjoy the views/sunset/sunrise. the home was perfect, and we would absolutely stay again! 10/10
My family had a great stay at Jim's beach house. Everything was wonderful about this property. The house is absolutely beautiful with stunning views from every angle. The house is immaculate and clean and decorated beautifully. It has plenty of space and rooms to relax and enjoy your stay. My family loved the large outdoor deck with stunning views of the beach where we gathered each afternoon for snacks. The kids loved the quiet and private beach behind the house which they used daily. It was convenient to have the beach right in the backyard. With 4 bedrooms, the family had more than enough room to spread out and have their own privacy, which was great. Jim was a kind and wonderful host who met us at the property to show us around and even left water and snacks for our arrival. He was very responsive and answered any questions we had. He made the experience even more enjoyable. The house is well stocked which is a plus. We cannot wat to go back next year! Thank you Jim for a wonderful stay.
This property was absolutely amazing! Beautiful views from the expansive deck, kitchen and sitting room. The private beach was exactly what we were looking for with 3 toddlers. There was no one there any of the days we went down there so we had a private beach to ourselves. Our group had 6 adults and 3 children and we all fit very comfortably with all the huge bedrooms, large indoor and outdoor table. The property is even bigger than the pictures, as the side/back yard is massive with lots of shade. The kids ran around and had plenty of space. Jim was a great host and was available immediately when I called about a blown fuse and couldn't find the fuse box. He was an excellent host and we really enjoyed the ease of this trip and booking. What would have made this house perfect is some paddle boards or kayaks available to guests, or beach chairs and umbrellas. Luckily, a few of my family members lived in Massachusetts and could bring them for us, as we live out of state. But despite lacking those couple of items, I would book here again in a heartbeat. It was just gorgeous, great location, and the perfect beach getaway.
This is a beautiful property! My husband and I went with our 3 adult children and our 5 grandchildren. We all had a wonderful time. This is our second year renting this property, and we will all be back next year! Jim is a wonderful host!
The host was very friendly and met us there to check us in. He graciously greeted us with water and snacks, which was very thoughtful. The home is beautiful. It’s a large with plenty of space and beautiful views of the bay. It is right off of Main Road so you can hear street traffic, but the views made up for that. And the location was wonderful - close to many fun and scenic areas.
A few minor things - ants (it’s that time of year), one of the showers appeared moldy and wasn’t working well, their were expired items in the cupboard, and some of the pots and pans were so old and stained they could not be used (we bought a few while we were there). Also a very uncomfortable mattress in the master suite. But Overall- a very enjoyable stay. We do recommend! Oh, if you are going for the 4th of July, the neighbors put on a phenomenal fireworks display!
This property was beautiful. The inside was spotless and any view from the back of the home/deck was of the stunning bay. Jim was very gracious and responsive. We enjoyed our family trip and would absolutely stay again!
We grew up in this area. We visited a lot of old haunts. A lot of great places to eat. The home provided plenty of space for eight of us. Being on the bay was very enjoyable when you wake up in the morning. Even when it was raining. We would use this location again.
Jim was very responsive. We had 9 adults and it was very comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone to have their space, but when we gathered, we did so in the dining room for meals, the living room for football, and the sunroom for coffee:) Lovely deck overlooking the bay. Great stay!
Great house- we’re going to book it again. Very good location in Wareham, great view and the host Jim was very responsive. We’ll stocked and very comfortable for our multi-age group
Property was just off a fairly major road, but surprisingly quiet inside and when sitting outside overlooking Buttermilk Bay. There is a lot of room inside the house including 5 good sized bedrooms, a large dining room, a large living room, a nice patio room overlooking the Bay and a nice deck. There is a separate cooling system for the upper floor so everyone was comfortable on the warm nights. On the cooler days we opened the windows and had glorious breezes throughout the house. The kitchen is the only space that isn't large; plenty of room for one or two or even three cooks, but tight when all of the non-cooks wanted to interlope. The house has a beach at low tide and access to a neighborhood beach two doors down, but your beach time is best spent across the Bay (10-minute walk), or at the lovely beach in Onset (10-minute drive), or across the Canal on one of the many Cape Cod beaches (30-90-minute drive depending). Nonetheless, we had a marvelous time at the home beach catching crabs and just hanging out including on two large rocks that appear at low tide. The walking path by the Cape Cod Canal (5-minute drive) was used several times and we found an excellent wooded hike just 2 miles away. We saw a musical in New Bedord only 30 minutes away, played putt-putt, and visited souvenir shops. The house and location worked out great for us; lots of options for things to do beyond what we did.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful waterfront property! We spent 5 days here with two other families (6 adults and 3 young children) and this house was everything we hoped for! It was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located! The view of the bay is unbeatable and being so close to the water made traveling with kids so easy! Jim was a wonderful host and he was very helpful and easy to contact! We really enjoyed our time here and we hope to come back next year!
The house is roomy, comfortable and beautifully decorated too, right on the water and with the a deck, table and grill with great views across the Bay. It was also incredibly clean and fresh. It was warm and sunny week, so great to be on the water but to also have air conditioning in the house when we'd had enough sun and heat. The owner was gracious and helpful, met us in person with the keys and answered any questions. I can't recommend this rental property highly enough. It was indeed the best house we've rented in 22 years of Cape rentals. All the family agreed!
We couldn’t have asked for a better location to celebrate Fourth of July as a family. The home was wonderful for children and adults and the location was great. The local firework shows (multiple!) were probably the best we will ever see. I would do this every Fourth of July, if I could. It is a wonderful house and Jim was an attentive host.
This was a comfortable house with beautiful views from many of the rooms and the deck. Close to the bridge to get to the cape. Extremely clean. Well stocked.
We had a wonderful experience at this house! The property was beautiful, the house was very clean, well stocked, and had plenty of large spaces for family meals/games, and the host was very accessible. We are looking forward to staying here again!
everything went perfect. We were met at property given a good walk through. Told where everything was and about the area. Holst was available and ready to help us with anything we needed. Definitely would stay here again.
This property exceeded all our expectations for a family vacation. We truly felt that we had the best of all worlds. Nights grilling and relaxing on the deck overlooking the bay with days fishing in the bay plus being in close proximity to day trips to Cape Cod & Martha’s Vineyard, even a Red Sox game. It was more than enough room for 4 adults and 4 children. The place was extremely clean and well stocked with everything that you can imagine. The host, Jim, met us at the property to welcome our family and give us a tour of the house. This was the first time anyone has done this in all the properties we have rented. It was very hospitable. There are many reasons we would come back to this property, but that adds an extra touch that you do not see too often. We had 2 small concerns during our stay and Jim addressed them right away. We definitely would love to come back to this property.
We spent a wonderful week with our two sons, their wives and two grandchildren. Everyone loved this house. Each couple had their own king-sized bed and bathroom. The house was beautiful and very clean, and the view was spectacular.
This was the perfect property for my husband & I to spend a week with my adult children & their partners. Other family also stopped in during the week. House is very clean and kitchen is very well-equipped, and you can't beat the view! We will definitely keep this property on our list of favorites and plan to return.
Jim was super helpful. He made extra efforts to get us into the house as soon as it was clean. He was also kind about being flexible meeting us. House was very clean. Lots of shared space for a large group. Views of the bay are so beautiful. Really nice deck for morning coffee. A bit of a drive if you plan to go to Boston more than once. Really great if you want to spend time on the cape or take any the ferry’s. It’s a perfect place to kayak. If you have them bring them. Would really recommend this home.
The view is fabulous! It was so great sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful view! The house is very clean, spacious and very nicely decorated! Perfect for a big group! I hope to be back soon!
