Wonderful!
Giselle's house is wonderful! The location is so private and peaceful, I really fell in love with this part of Mexico. Giselle and her husband were wonderful hosts. The water in front of the house is amazing, the only other place that I have seen water so clear and beautiful is in the south pacific. I did not have a car however it was easy to get there and there are many mototaxis in the area to go around to different places. I would love to come back again!

First Time in Mexico
The House and property made for a wonderful first time in Mexico trip for my whole family. The house was very cozy and the beach access was wonderful. Giselle and her husband were extremely helpful in scheduling a fishing trip which we enjoyed immensely. And were always available to answer any of our questions. The house is in a great location for visiting the Mayan Ruins and Cenotes.

A Cottage by the Gulf
If what you are looking for is a sun-soaked, white sand, coconut-groved, private, quiet, peaceful, fully-equipped cottage vacation by the Gulf of Mexico, this is for you. We can not say more about how de-stressed we felt within 24 hours of arriving. This isn’t what I would call five-star, but I would call it a perfect cottage by the Gulf.

Great time on the beach!
Had a lovely time here. We stayed just over a week and spent the time relaxing on the porch that faces the ocean, swimming in the pool, searching for shells and fishing. Giselle and Carlos met us at the house and walked us through everything we needed to know (even though we didn’t get there until late!). We rented a van so we could do some exploring and visited ruins, cenotes and the beautiful yellow city of Izamal. Telchac Puerto is a charming town with friendly people and a few good restaurants. We went in to Merida to get most of our groceries but many of the day to day things we needed were readily available right in town. This area is not too touristy, so we never felt crowded on the beach. Good idea to brush up on your Spanish if it isn’t your primary language because you will mostly be interacting with people who speak minimal English in the stores and restaurants. We ate several meals at Sea Friends and really enjoyed their ceviche, guacamole and coconut shrimp. Also, their wait staff were warm and friendly. After hearing that my husband and son are avid fishermen, Giselle and Carlos worked to find a local fishing guide and they were able to go on two half-day fishing excursions when we were there for a great price. We had an absolutely lovely time. If I had it to do over I would probably stay a day or two closer to Mérida because it was a good 2.5 hour drive (one way) to the bigger cenotes and ruins. But, if you’re looking for a laid back beach house and need a place to unwind, this is it. Thanks so much for your hospitality and attention, Giselle and Carlos! ❤️

Loved our stay
Giselle and Carlos were exceedingly kind and helpful hosts, and we had an amazing time at their beautiful property. You absolutely cannot beat the location. Plumbing was a little tricky, and hot water in the kitchen would have been appreciated, but we had such a great trip regardless. Never needed the air conditioner with the breeze, made friends with the resident iguana, walked on the beach for miles in both directions. A fantastic family vacation.

A slice of paradise
This amazing property reminded me of the old Corona beer commercials that used to run on TV showing a house in Mexico in a beautiful tranquil location on the beach surrounded by palm trees. The sunsets here are unforgettable. There is a large pool next to the house in the coconut palm grove. The property itself is large and interesting to explore. The views from every room are spectacular. Blue water lapping up against the shore framed and partially shaded, but not obscured by the palm trees. There are a lot of places on the house's beach for chilling. There is the nice big table on the large covered patio, comfortable a reclined rocking chair, a padded lounge, and several reclined lounges right at the seaside. I rarely saw or heard another person and at never at night. Being located away from major cities, there is little light pollution so you have a sky filled with stars and the Milky Way is visible. You have all the conveniences you need in the house and considering the semi-off-grid location I was amazed that the wifi internet was as fast as I needed to do anything. The beds are comfortable and AC more than adequate. The town Telchac Puerto is old-school Mexico, not yet overrun with tourist making for a much nicer and more interesting visit. Yet if you look a bit you can find everything you need there. I can't wait to go back.

A Beach Sanctuary
This property was perfectly located for us to visit Mayan ruins, numerous cenotes, and immerse in the history of Yucatán. Its location right on the beach was also perfect for those days when we chose to relax, walking miles along the water and collecting shells. The kitchen was well supplied for us to cook at home, though we found some very good restaurants nearby. Giselle and Carlos were very gracious hosts for our extended stay.

Ideal place to get away from everything
We stayed from 21/12 until 30/12. Weather wise it was perfect, first half of stay was quite windy so perfect for myself, warm but not too hot. Second half was a lot warmer, 32 degrees, which brought with it humidity, but still comfortable. The town has quite a few restaurants of which we only visited 2 (not because we did not like them but our son is allergic to seafood, so didn't want to tempt fate) but both were simple fresh dishes, enjoyed by all. Progresso and Merida were both nice distractions in their own ways, and certainly worth a drive if you need a break. I cannot convey how nice the Yucatan people are, always smiling and pleasant. Back to the villa, whatever it may lack in mod cons for some people it more than made up for in its location, especially when you are swaying in a hammock listening to the waves, who cares. It is in the best position on the coast line as far as I'm concerned, whichever way you choose to walk - it only takes 35 minutes to walk to the pier and centre of town. Last but not least we were greeted upon arrival by Giselle and her husband who were just lovely and welcoming. I would have loved to meet them upon departure to thank them and give them a great big hug, for letting us have the opportunity to be able to stay for 9 nights in their paradise:) Ps Look up when moon rise is, it truly is magical, especially with a Dos Equis in hand ;)

great property in a lovely location
Property has all the amenities described and very comfortable. the master bedroom has a great view of the ocean. White cotton linens were great. Pool nice and clean weather was not good- lots of over cast skies, high wind and grey skies. when there was sun it was difficult to find it in the spacious gardens because of the number of coconut trees. Some judicious felling would be a great help especially in the months when the weather is so variable

Best vacation ever
We loved the house and the location. Giselle and her husband greeted us the house upon our arrived, they showed us everything we needed to know to make our stay comfortable. We loved the location of the house, quiet beach with nobody around. We loved the porch where we sat and enjoyed our breakfast, the view was breathtaking. Market and local stores where couple of minutes away. All the people were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We would definitely recommend this house if you want to enjoy quiet and beautiful vacation this is the place.

This lovely little beach house is the perfect place to take a break from everyday hectic living.
Telchac Puerto is a quiet little town that is the perfect place to hit the reset button. Giselle and her husband have created a beautiful spot to unwind, walk on the beach and read some books. A simple 30 minute beach walk will have you in the centre of town where you can buy fresh veg and fish in the morning and freshly baked products in the evening. If you don't feel like cooking there is a wonderful restaurant on the beach a 5 minute walk in the other direction that offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 6 days a week. If you are into windsurfing or kite boarding the afternoon almost always brings 10-20 km winds which keep the house cool and would be amazing for any water sports. The 3 bedroom house is large, clean and easily sleeps a family of five and could sleep 7 in beds if you include a fold out bed in the spare room. For gourmet cooks the kitchen is very basic. Just a propane stove and large fridge with an odd assortment of pots and pans. It could use a few more plates and some updated cooking gear but I think most people in this area walk or drive ( 3-4 minutes) to town and eat at the myriad of restaurants there. In the morning we often went for hour long walks along the beach and sometimes did not see anyone along the way. It was really quiet while we were there. A truly lovely spot for a vacation. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us Giselle!

The house is very well laid out and comfortable, right on the beach.
Telchac puerto is a lovely smalll town, people are friendly and unpretentious.Lots of restaurants serving fish and regional food. Everywhere we went we felt safe, there is a great restaurant (Bella Mar) a 5 min walk from the house, run by a wonderful family. We also cooked at home quite often, fresh vegetables are available at the market, fish can be bought right off the boat. The only negative issue for us was the lack of pressure with the hot water, so it was not possible to have a daily shower. We think it's probably a leak inthe line.

Really four and a half stars
We just returned from Telchac and are thrilled we went. Giselle and Carlos are lovely people and the house was less than 40 steps from the ocean. We spent a large amount of time simply watching the ocean and the birds from the porch that is shown in the picture. There are iguanas around although you see tracks more than the actual lizard. The coconut palms sway with the breeze and get butterflies to alight. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove which works well. It is equipped with blender, toaster, microwave etc. We cooked breakfasts, did salsa, guacamole, and chips, and a couple dinners. We ate twice at a nearby, really close, restaurant called Bella Mar which was great. Order a whole fried fish and you won't be disappointed . We ate well and enjoyed going out or cooking. Progreso is close if you want to "shop" and had many choices for food too. The views from the ocean side, in each bedroom, living area and kitchen , were spectacular! Going to sleep to the sounds of the ocean was beyond what we has anticipated. Walking the beach we saw few other people. The ones we saw waved and smiled. We enjoyed messing around in the yard area. Little flowers bloomed and the plants were interesting. We walked the driveway back to the road to see the part of the sunset we didn't see from the beach. However, the beach horizon in pinks and oranges could take your breath away as could dawn. We were comfortable and happy at Giselle and Carlos' place. Would we recommend staying here? You bet. It allows you to go out to nearby ruins, which were very cool, while having a little town nearby for necessities. The people were wonderful and helpful. Don't be afraid to rent this place. These are reputable people. It is a beach house and it isn't like a resort. To us, that made it so much more special and relaxed.

This was a perfect holiday rental for us. Location, location, location.
This quiet oceanfront property was the best place we've ever stayed at. This home, the location, the owners & the maintenance family all made this our best holiday we've ever had. Carlos & Ricardo built me a ramp to access the house just before we arrived for total mobility in my wheelchair which was perfect, I even made it to within 30' of the ocean. We stayed for 22 nights & to be honest I wish it was at least double. Writing this review is like a double edged sword. You want to be selfish & try to keep it quiet for your next holiday but Giselle & Carlos deserve some great feedback for this place. Two of the nicest people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting(almost everyone we met in Mexico were the greatest also that we've come across on my 5th trip here). Our 1st reaction to this home was WOW. Going through the home looking at all of the detail of the construction. Carlos brought in some great craftsmen & if I ever build a new home the layout of the house is what I'd try to copy. You drive down roughly 400' drive through 50 to 60 coconut trees where you can hardly hear the traffic, night time all you can hear are the waves hitting the beach. Telchac Puerto is a really quiet town, one suggestion I'd make is to take some Spanish lessons before arriving as we only came across 3 people in town who spoke English. I love this town so much I will be signing up soon, luckily my wife understands so we barely got by. To buy fresh caught fish go through town to the docks early in the morning then back to the market for your fresh fruit & veggies. We ate at 4 different restaurants in Telchac even had one delivery. We ordered fish in San Cristano which both towns are only a few minute drive came with 4 pieces. I don't think that we spent more than $12 pp including tip for most of these places. Progreso has anything you'll need & is only 20 minutes away. Lots of police spot checks so the driver needs to stay sober. Be watchful for scooters which ride next to the shoulder & there are lots of blind spots pulling out into traffic so be careful. Lots of speed bumps so prepare for some air if you're not paying attention. If you're looking for a little bit of paradise this is the place.

We are a family of 5 , we currently live in Merida, this is our summer home.
We love to stay here, any time of the year.
Carlos and I have three daugthers , an Architect, an Odontologist and a Lawyer.
We love the beach, sailing, snorkeling and walking at the beach.

Why they chose this property

This is a lovely house built in a 2 acres coconut plantation, this is a property that is 2 Km. from the center of Telchac, from 1 Km. you can find groceries stores and restaurants, so, is not in the middle of the croud and close enough to buy whatever you need.
Let me tell you, that September ,October and June are beautiful almost as July and August, that are the most expensive in the year.

What makes this property unique

In this unique property you can watch the sea from every and each room of the house, so when you wake up in the morning you just open your eyes to a magnificent view of coconut trees and the sea, also it has a big terrace where to hang your hammocks, to be closer with nature.
Big front cristal windows and doors ( beach side ) allows you to enjoy the view from each room of he house.
Curved windows and doors are made from wood and gives the place a charming style.
