This house on Greenlake is amazing the Debbie was quick to answer our questions. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (tween/teen) for a week. It has plenty of room for multiple families to spread out. The lake isn't too deep by the dock and it's perfect for swimming. Greenlake does have zebra muscles, so we wore our swim shoes. We would definitely come back!!
This house is absolutely wonderful and Green Lake is also fantastic. Nice lake for swimming and boating. Lovely dock with chairs that we spent lots of time sitting on. House is very nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen very well stocked (among the best I have seen - though I brought my own chef's knives, as I always do when staying at VRBOs). Very quiet area - really didn't see many other people, which is what we wanted given COVID. Owner communication was great and she nicely made an exception for us, which enhanced our trip. Would definitely stay again.

A GREAT Place on a Great Lake!
6 adults and an infant had a wonderful stay here. The home was clean and beautifully furnished with antiques and lovely art work. There was ample space for the 3 couples to have privacy, but we could easily gather for meals in the dining room or under the covered porch. The kitchen was well supplied and there was an ample stock of bath and beach towels. We were able to launch our sailboat at a park about 1 mile away and keep it on the lift. The property was beautiful with flowers all around. There were great views from every window. We even played shuffleboard in the evening on the lighted court. I truly felt like a special guest in someone's home. My family and I look forward to returning.
Cute home, great host, great locations...a couple watch outs
Overall we liked the house and location. Debbie the host, was very responsive to requests, questions, etc. Everything was easy about the rental. The garage has been recently transitioned to a useable space (not in listing). This space is great! its detached from the house but very well done! We used it as a work out/yoga spot but I think the host should consider making it into a bonus space with a murphy queen bed (see why below). The deck and outdoor space is very nice.
A couple things to consider: 1) The master bed is only a queen bed and the second bedroom is only double bed, so if you have two families, one bedroom is not really useable for a couple...unless they are very small people, especially for a week. :). Transparently, these both were in the listing but I overlooked. 2) The basement living room is very small and has a very strong musty smell and the pull out couch is not comfortable, bottom line the basement is not really useable space, you don't want to hang out there or sleep there. 3) there is no firepit for sitting around the campfire - something we were a bit bummed about. We ended up cooking smores over the charcoal grill.
Bottom line, if you have a single family with 2-3 kids this rental is great and should be considered. If you have a 2 families (which we did) I would consider something with better sleeping arrangements.
Summary - Overall would give 4.5-5 stars if you are a single family with 2-3 kids, 3-4 stars if you are multi-family. Hence the rating of 4.
Could not have had a better vacation home to spend with my siblings. The home, location was everything you could ask for. The boat lift was great, weather was good. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful home with us.
Our family of five totally enjoyed our week long stay at this property! Deborah was a great communicator leading up to and during our trip. Overall, the cabin is well appointed with elevated coziness in mind everywhere you turn. We observed absolutely priceless sunsets from the property, enjoyed many family meals on the adorable covered porch, and taught our boys how to fish from the pier (the water is so clear you can see the fish swimming by!) You can swim from the pier, but I would recommend bringing water shoes as it is shallow and there are zebra mussels that can be sharp (the kind next door neighbor pointed this out to us on our first night as our boys were headed out for a swim). We were able to use the shore station lift for our boat which was a nice perk, and the lake itself is true Wisconsin gem for cruising, enjoying water sports, or fishing. Our family hopes to find a home on this lake someday, but until then we hope to return to this property for another visit!
Wonderful home and beautiful setting! House and property exactly as listed and portrayed. Couldn’t have found a better place for my family’s week on Green Lake. Rented a boat for the week and owner was kind enough to let us use the boat lift. Worked out great. Owner’s responsiveness was fantastic. When we go back to Green Lake, we will look to rent this house again for sure.
We would highly recommend this property! Very clean, very well appointed and great for a family!

Charming house
This house is decorated with charm and warmth. It has original, local artwork and interesting furnishings. It is well equipped with kitchen supplies and beach towels. It has a spectacular view of the lake with easy access to the dock. It would be a great house for grandparents, their adult children and grandchildren. The house does have narrow staircases to the downstairs sitting/bedroom and to the second floor bedrooms. If there is anyone who has any mobility issues, I would not recommend these bedrooms for their use. I would suggest they utilize the master bedroom on the first floor.

We had a great time at this house with 4 adults and 2 kids!
The house was clean, the kitchen was well appointed. The lake shore was nice, the lake water was so clear and you can stand by the pier in chest high water. We had an issue with the boat lift, but called Debbie and she had someone out ASAP. So nice having 2 full bathrooms and 2 half baths. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful lake view. We had a great time eating on the covered deck.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie Langdon
Growing up in the Chicago area, my parents always took the family to the lakes of Wisconsin and Minnesota for vacations. They always dreamed of having their own place on a lake, and after a lot of thought and search for the right place, they bought this house in 1970. It was a small fishing cottage built about 1930. My father went right to work on adding a second story and remodeling the interior to accommodate our family. After my parents passed away, my husband and I were able to keep it in the family. We did further additions and renovations; always trying to stay true to the original design and architecture. Our five children have grown up spending part of every summer here and creating wonderful family memories in the process. We are now retired from our careers in city planning and school psychology and living in Kansas City most of the year, but are now able to spend several months a year on the lake and share it with our children and grandchildren.
