Step back into time when life was slower at this quaint cabin located in the shadow of Mount Lassen. Enjoy the short 1/4 mile walk to view Lake Almanor, one of Northern California's true gems. On your return from the lake stop by Carol's Cafe for a slice of true Americana fare. Pick up one of Carol's famous pies to enjoy while relaxing on the front porch as you rock your cares away. In the evening sip a cold beverage on the large back porch while enjoying Lassen National Forest and the wildlife that abounds there.

We come to the lake every year, and this cabin never disappoints! It is very family friendly, clean, quiet, walking distance to the lake, and affordable! Claire and Rick are great hosts and we will continue to book here for our yearly visits!
Exceeded our expectations adorable beautiful cabin. Quite neighborhood in an area of Lake Almanor we’ve been vacationing for 60 years. Actually we were celebrating our 50 th anniversary. We loved our visit ❤️
We had a great stay at this cabin. It was the perfect size for us, family of 4. The location was ideal- woods in the back and a short walk to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking needs. We hope to return and would love to rent this place again!
Our family had a wonderful time. We love lake Almanor. The cabin was perfect, comfortable, clean and inviting. We loved seeing the deer and the beautiful walks . We look forward to going back! Thank you!
Great place to rent. Close to the lake. Walking distance to one of the more popular breakfast establishments. 15 mile long bike path along the lake. Clean and quiet, so peaceful!! Will definitely be back.
The cabin looked even better in person than the pics online. Very clean and cute. It is located in a neighborhood so there is houses on each side but the neighbors were very friendly. Great getaway!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. This cabin was the perfect size for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. It has national forest land behind it, and we loved hanging out on the back porch and in the back yard. It has a great location near a swim beach (low water level but that's true across CA) and in a quiet neighborhood. Also, the cabin was super clean, the owner left lots of helpful info and basic necessities were provided. Thanks for sharing this lovey home!
This was a great property. A good place to stay with easy access all around Lake Almanor. The home stays cool even when the temps reach the high 80's. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions and the condition of the home was excellent!

This home was beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen and the rest of the home was well stocked. This is a family friendly home with movies, games and toys. The location is ideal for fishing, boating, exploring Mt. Lassen National Park and watching bald eagles.

Excellent family getaway!
Excellent location for both lake and Lassen Volcanic National Park activities. The home was very cozy with everything that a person could ask for. My family was very relaxed after a long day of hiking at Lassen. The cabin is a short few minutes drive from any needs in town that you may require, or a short walk to the cafe, I recommend a slice of pie. The cabin was large enough for most needs yet cozy enough to feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this lovely home to any traveler who wants a clean, cozy and comfortable home.
The pictures don't do justice! The cabin is a total gem in the woods. It's really cozy and equipped with everything you may need during your stay, especially the kitchen. Very tastefully decorated and inviting. Claire is a wonderful host who answers any requests or questions within minutes. We can't wait to be back!
This cabin is perfect for our return to my childhood summer vacation Lake. It is a five minute walk ( all downhill) to the water. I recommend taking a little longer route to return that has a longer gradual grade. New addition was the air purifier in the main cabin. The owners have clearly been doing regular upkeep and labeled switches, details make staying so nice. Owner responds quickly and is incredibly helpful. Everything you need from coffee grinder to a spare toothbrush, and a functioning ice maker!! Great linens. Great mattresses. Be smart- vent with the cool morning air and this cabin stays comfy all summer long.
The Cabin is very clean and comfortable. Location is great. Walking distance to Carols restaurant and the lake. Cabin backs up to a greenbelt where you can watch deer stroll by. We had a great time!
This was the perfect getaway location, enjoyed a nice walk to the lake. The cabin was very clean, and inviting! Perfect place to sit outside and watch the sunset, or play hide and seek with our 7 year old. Would stay again!
Absolutely loved this cute and clean cabin. The owners have thought of everything you might need - comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen in case you forgot something, games, puzzles, movies, corn hole, and even cute little lights for evenings spent on the back porch! Loved the close proximity to the lake - we brought bikes and enjoyed riding the trails and down to Carols Cafe. Will definitely want to return here in the future!

Why they chose this property
This property is near and dear to our hearts. Lake Almanor has been a mainstay in my family for 40+ years. When my husband and I had the chance to purchase a lot in the historic development of Prattville we were ecstatic. In 2003 we purchased the lot and a year later my husband built us our "little cabin in the woods". We have made many memories with family and friends over the years here and are looking to make many more in years to come. Our wish is for others to have the same opportunity by staying here. Enjoy!
What makes this property unique
Large off street parking. Our cabin backs up to forest thus offering a great view of nature and provides some privacy.
