Great family vacation spot
This is a great property for a family vacation. the house was very nice and clean and sleeps 10 comfortably. There was a fully stocked full size kitchen and washer and dryer available, which was great for washing towels, ect.. we rented the pontoon boat, with no issues and did lots of kayaking and fishing. The only downside was that there was only one bathroom. Otherwise highly recommend

Yearly family vacation
Great house and great lake. The house was very clean and accommodating. Lots of water toys. The lake is very clean. Not crowded at all. Very peaceful, and the house is very private as advertised. A minutes drive to get food etc. Kalamazoo is very close for entertainment, but live music and good food right around the corner. Communication with the owner was great. Overall an awesome stay!

Amazing Vacation
I booked this trip last minute for my family. My kids range in age from 2 to 19 so it’s hard to find something that satisfies everyone. The listing sounded perfect. The owner was very responsive to the few questions I had. When we got there, it exceeded my expectations! We had a wonderful week. There was something for everyone to do all the time. My only suggestion for a family with little kids is to bring a couple baby gates. The deck is amazing but has 3 different openings. My 2 year-old was obsessed with trying to get to a very steep hill that is covered in rocks and drops straight down to the beach.

Wonderful lakefront property
The property is an absolute gem. It was well stocked with all the essentials and felt clean and fresh with a nice amount of decor without feeling cluttered. The highlight of the property is by far the amount of private lake access you have; while boats and jet skiers may pass by, you feel like you're on a private island with no visible neighbors when sitting on the beach area. On the one side of the dock you have a wonderful area for walk in lake access to enjoy lounging on a pool toy or jumping off the swim platform. On another side you have a nice sloping access down to the dock or you can take the deck stairs. The deck and firepit area both provide stunning views of the lake, and we spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors. Morning coffees on the dock and evening sunsets were perfection. The house is within driving distance of a decent grocery store and several convenience stores, making it easy to stock up on essentials or grab any last-minute items we needed.

About the host

Host profile image
My wife and I live in southeast Michigan and work in the marketing /event industry. As a life long carpenter, I have built/ flipped / remodeled several homes. During the Covid shutdown, we purchased and remodeled the property as our retirement home. However, we’re not ready to retire, and can’t make it to the lake as much as we like. So we’ve decided to share our place. Being a host falls right in line with entertaining clients for our company and has been a very easy transition into the business so far.

Why they chose this property

We found the home by accident. The for sale sign was in an awkward spot and I thought the home next door was for sale. While inspecting that home, i joked saying if the neighbors house was for sale, I would buy it tomorrow, just for the location and view. Well, as fate would have it, we were looking at the wrong house. I put in an offer the next day and it was ours soon after.

What makes this property unique

You can’t see the home from the street, we have an easement between neighboring homes that leads to our property out on the tip of Stoney Point Drive. Once you’re behind the home, you have no neighbors in view, it’s quiet, secluded and has privacy that is not easy to find on most lakes. We love it!!!
