3 level home in the Mossy Creek Luxury Homes section of Sugar Mountain High ceilings, beautiful kitchen, and lots of space! Beds are all queen size and there's a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The master suite has a huge jetted tub in a room all to itself. Kitchen has pots and pans, dishes and silverware, small appliances. NO coffee is provided, but we are now stocking units with salt and pepper, and cooking oil.
Homeowners have provided lots of amenities to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable one, and the location is great too. Just 1/2 mile to the ski area, tubing, ice skating, golf, or tennis, there's bound to be something for everyone. Home is not air conditioned,.

Very nice and quiet

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We secured this space due to its location being close to Sugar Mtn slopes, and it was great. Just walk down a few zig zags and you are in the ski lodge. The walk back up is pretty intense though after a full day, so don't plan on carrying gear. The house itself was cozy and lovely, very cool loft up top. Kitchen well equipped, and plenty of restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive. No complaints other than the beds could use some updating. We would not hesitate to come back. Only concern, there was no snow on the ground when we came, the grade on the final few turns/streets to get up to the house was quite steep - if there was fresh snow or ice I don't believe we'd attempt to get up there (though I admit I am not sure what conditions or treatments are like in peak winter).

Amazing Location and Cozy Stay

Loved our stay! There was a bad snow storm which really caused some icy roads and made it a little difficult to get up mountain and in the drive way since it was covered but with 4 wheel drive and a little back and forth we were able to get in so be mindful if there is a bad storm if you dont have 4wd. We decided to not drive back out the next day but Sugar Mtn Resort is like a 10 min walk down so there was no need. Very clean and cozy. Amazing location. Loved really everything! Only reccomendation may be writing the garbage can instructions (its secure to stop wildlife) in the book just because we had

We really enjoyed staying at this property! Very nice accommodations. Very pleased with the amenities. Our entire group didn’t get to come after all so we only stayed in the main level.

Comfy cabin

Overall a very comfortable cabin. Plenty of nice towels and lots of blankets! The jacuzzi was great and didn’t run out of hot water ever! We enjoyed burning wood (not provided) in the fireplace at night too. My only negative would be the kitchen since we chose to cook there. The oven isn’t working properly and few more kitchen utensils would have been a nice touch. I was glad I brought a lot of my own utensils and pans. There was plenty of dinnerware, glassware and coffee cups! Overall a comfy cabin.

Overall a Great Weekend Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: New Year’s Day weekend was a blast. Despite the rain on Friday/Saturday, we were able to get some great snowboarding in.Pros:- The House was very clean and updated- The location was very close to all necessary stores in Banner Elk- Although not on the slopes we shuttled to the employee parking lot mostly. Literally about 200 yds. Walkable but not a pleasurable walk. The drive to the lodge is only like 1/2 mile- Great View- Property management was very helpful - Kitchen was great for a small kitchenCons:- The driveway doesn’t do well when raining. It was rutted out in the middle and very muddy. It’s also only good for two cars comfortably. We squeezed three in for the weekend.- The wifi that is given out on the email and paperwork was not correct. There is a book at the house that has the correct one as well as listed on the router. “Spectrum router to the left of the stereo under tv”- The Jacuzzi Jets did not work. After our kids waited an hour tobfill up, the jets would not turn on. Maybe we were missing something?- The Check in paperwork mentions a gas fireplace. It is not. It’s a real wood fireplace. Which was fine with us, just better to know on your way in.Like I said in the title. Overall great stay. Just a few details could be addressed.

Nice Mountain House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of four adults and four children really enjoyed the house. The wood burning fireplace was great (bring wood) and it was nice to have a washer and dryer available. The location is perfect for the Sugar Mountain resort only a short walk through the resort employee parking lot to get to the lifts but it will be uphill on the way back! Beds were very comfortable. There is a spiral staircase leading to the loft upstairs and down to the laundry room below and they are steep so use caution. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice place to stay in the Sugar Mountain area.

Great family weekend!

Took our three kids skiing at Sugar Mountain, ages 3, 8, and 10. Kids loved the loft and we all the loved the proximity to mountain. The house had everything we needed and such beautiful views!

Very convenient to the lift and we actually walked to the lifts every day. We got a locker at the lifts which made it really easy. The house had plenty of room and the kids loved the big jet tub. A great place to stay, but not perfect

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a great house for a large family. Internet was fast, amenities were good. A little bit annoying "to do list" for guests about cleaning dishes and preparing bed linens, collecting trash etc, since the rental company collects $100 cleaning fee. I believe if all the guest follow these recommendations then $100 cleaning fee is excessive. The sign with the number of the house is completely covered by shrubs. We had to get out of the car and inspect each house on the street trying to figure out which one is ours. We never figured out how to turn on the AC, not extremely necessary since the nights are usually cool outside, but it was a little bit too hot in the house at night. The hot tub was great!

Absolutely delightful stay!

We got there late Friday night and were able to find our place easily with thorough directions. It was clean, delightful, and we had zero issues! The kids and adults both loved the property, especially the view and the hot tub, and the loft was a treat for the kids! 10/10!

Weekend Getaway

We had a nice stay ,the house was updated and comfortable, everything was good but as a couple things we felt could be better and an easy fix for the next renters that stay and the first is that the dish soap amount was very small and not enough to accommodate a weekend of dishes and the other was the Whirlpool Tub as is a nice feature but impractical as there is no water pressure and it takes almost an hour to fill in order for the jets to work and by that time the water is cold and unpleasant and water is slowly draining out the whole time. It was a bit disappointing. Other than that it was a good stay and would recommend for family and friends.

Had a great weekend!

Had a great weekend in the mountains! The property has overgrown foliage around it which provides privacy, but is quite excessive. The inside of the house has been updated and is very comfortable. There needs to be clearer directions for the hot tub but it's a nice feature. And the weather was so nice we kept the windows open to enjoy the mountain breezes. Good stay for a great price!
