This is my experience with this property. Got my door code to get into the room. Everything seemed pretty clean except for the bathroom. The shower had not been cleaned. There’s also no bathroom fan in the shower so But there is a window I think that’s what makes it legal to be able to still have a shower without a fan in there. When we left left to go to dinner, we attempted to shut and lock the door, but it didn’t seem to be working. I put the code in and then press the door to lock and nothing was happening. I called and text messaged the number for management and let them know that we were attempting to leave to go to dinner, but we could not lock the door. Three hours later they responded back. I don’t care what hotel you go to but that’s completely unacceptable. Also bring your own pillow. They have those hard memory foam pillows , and you’re not into those you will not sleep well. I could also hear people walking around 2 to 3 motel rooms away from me. Extremely loud place. If you use hearing aids or you are deaf, this is the place for you. The following morning I was getting dressed after just getting out of the nice dirty shower only to have someone walk straight into my room. Apparently management had emailed them the door code . I know earlier and even though check in was 4 PM this person decided to come in earlier like 9 AM. I couldn’t believe the door code had already been changed. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Various emails & texts before the check in date one in particular indicated further check in info provided closer to the date. Stay invoice paid in full on 6/14 . NO DOOR CODE EVER SENT. Left message on company phone #. Following day I saw host's ph# in small print on one of the texts. Spoke to him shared we had no code to enter so we were forced to find a local Comfort Inn for our stay. We have had no further replies frim the company nor the host.
Overall was a good experience and I'd stay there again!!
I was confused and frustrated when I received a text message from a name that was not on the vrbo listing wanting information, (I recently had a virus on my phone so I'm super cautious about opening unknown messages) I messaged the owner on vrbo TWICE about it, wanting them to confirm it was legit, and they NEVER answered me, super frustrating. I ended up opening it the second time it was sent because I had NO checking info. Whew it was all good but lots of unnecessary stress if they would have just answered me.
The room and property itself was just as stated and met our needs for a clean soft place to sleep.

Well cottage is a good name to describe the room we had. It was cute and homey. Definitely felt like we were in a cottage. Bed/bedding was very clean and comfortable. Good location for shops and restaurants/bars.
It was a very nice place and it was just as described. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I’d recommend this place as a very nice stay for the money
This was perfect for me and my 2 small children. It was close to Lake Michigan and the Dunes. There was also a very helpful binder of emergency #'s which I ended up needing for an urgent care, and it also had #'s of things nearby to do and eat. Would recommend and visit again.
We enjoyed our stay at this centrally-located property. It was definitely cozy for my husband, myself, and our two young kids. Driving up, you can tell the exterior is certainly in need of some maintenance. The rooms themselves have been well-maintained and renovated with care, though. As long as you are not scared off by the less-than-gorgeous exterior and the small rooms, this place is a great place to stay.
