Please bring your own sheets, towels, and personal items/toiletries for your comfort. Bed sizes are 2 queen, 2 double, & 1 twin bed. We provide the blankets, comforters, and pillows. We also provide towels as needed.
Each bedroom in the main house has a smart tv and steaming services.
The detached “Casita” 3rd bedroom/bath has a mini fridge, microwave, and window a/c. Plus a full bathroom & shower.
The 3rd bedroom/4th bathroom in the detached “Casita” building , is not heated thus it is closed from Oct to March. Please ask if you have questions.
FREE candy, cereal bars, coffee, tea, spices, water enhancers, etc are provided.
Great location for relaxing, boating, fishing, swimming, auctions, shopping, auto museums, Amish restaurants, & microbrewery. There is also golf courses nearby, and the university of Notre Dame is only 30 min away.
The pier is in and usable (from April to Sept) for fishing, sandy soil for swimming, paddle boat and kayaks. Water toys, fishing poles, life jackets, and paddles are stored in the back of the house to the left of the deck, behind two small doors. (April to Sept only). The pier and boats are taken out during off season (Oct-March).
Stone lake has plenty of bluegill, perch, bass, and catfish. Fishing is great year around.
The cottage is fully stocked with books, cable, WIFI, board games, toys, life jackets (indoor/out), kitchen, Keurig, videos etc.
The Smart tv’s offers most of the popular streaming services that you can log into using your account #.
We have well water, but I have installed water filters on the kitchen sink, all of the shower heads, bathroom sinks and a water softer to enhance the water quality .
The property is located on a quite “dead end” street, thus safe for kids, and includes a large back yard to use.
Down town Middlebury is only 5 miles away. It offers a local Microbreweries, bike trails, mini golf, the famous Amish Dutchman Das Essenhause restaurant, nature gardens, parks, local Amish bakery/deli, and much more.
The nearby town of Shipshewana (5 miles) offers Amish stores, restaurants, auctions, crafts, flee market, Blue Gate theater, Dutch Creek animal park, mini golf, Yoder meat and cheese, and many other attractions.
Keys to the detached bedroom/bath (Casita) are located on the side of the kitchen cabinet, near the front door hall.
We have 2 queen, 2 double, and 1 twin bed. Plus one double in the detached “Casita” room.
We also provide a computer monitor and printer for your mobile office needs. You will need the cables to connect to each depending on the type of laptop you have.
From October to April the pier will be removed along with the boat and kayaks, due to the cold water and being the “off season”.
The WIFI and Amazon streaming video codes are on the fridge door.
Trash pickup is every Wednesday.
Please do a light clean up before you leave so the cottage looks good like when you arrived.
