It is conveniently located a mile from the town of Bethlehem, which has a farm stand, package store, hardware store, gas station/convenience store, library, and several restaurants.
The town beach is 1/4 mile from the house. It's a lovely walk and has a sandy beach and nice swimming.
A great local farm with pick-your-own seasonal fruit, excellent produce, and great baked goods is 1/2 mile away.

Very close to many beautiful towns throughout historic Litchfield County, including Litchfield, Kent, Washington, Roxbury and Woodbury.

Beautiful home overlooking a serene lake
The house was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. The views of the lake were spectacular. It was so quiet and peaceful. The deck was amazing and we enjoyed most meals outside on the deck.

Wonderful lake house
We had a delightful week at this clean and comfortable home with everything you need for. Summer holiday- a lovely lake for swimming, a kayak and canoe for boating, a deck for grilling and dining and beautiful parks in the area for hiking. We can’t wait to return.

Peaceful getaway
From booking through check-out our experience here was perfect. The owner was very attentive to any questions we had before, during and after our stay. The house was spotless when we arrived and furnished with state of the art appliances, a spa-like shower and comfortable beds. The property itself was exactly what we were looking for: private and tranquil with plenty of outdoor furnishings for dining, lounging (the hammock was a true highlight!) and fishing. We have stayed in many lake houses over the years and this is one we definitely plan to return to. Highly recommended!!

Peaceful Retreat
The joys of this place are all about the views from the wall of windows and outdoor deck. The clean lines of the interior do nothing to distract, and the owners have supplied most anything you’d need. The “long pond” is beautiful, quiet, and perfect for kayaking. Check out the hiking trails at nearby White Memorial Conservation Center and the fresh produce at March Farm. All in all, a great place for a weekend or a longer getaway.

A modern cottage with a stunning lake panorama
The most striking feature of this thoughtfully-designed modern cottage is the abundance of large windows wrapping around the entire house always giving you a gorgeous panoramic view of the beautiful lake and wooded surroundings. We loved waking up in the morning to be met by light pouring inside from the rising sun across the lake. The home itself is stylish and comfortable at the same time, and we enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen with its sleek cabinets and spacious countertops. To top it all off, the personal dock out back was our daily jumping-off point onto Lake Meadow Pond in the kayak and canoe that come along with the house. This home was a gem, on an equally priceless lake, that provided us with much beauty, comfort, and rest.

Wonderful winter getaway
We had the nicest time at this charming, modern cottage on the lake. The home was well appointed, newly renovated and very comfortable for two couples. The deck overlooking the lake was the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon! We hope to come back soon and enjoy this beautiful location in the warmer months.

Can't wait to return.. again!!
I grew up in the area and was looking for a quiet place for my boyfriend and I to stay this summer while we safely saw family and enjoyed the summer in CT. I'm always hesitant booking places sight unseen, because you really never know what you are getting until you arrive. I'm so glad we decided to book this house because we could not have loved our stay more! So much so that we have already been back to enjoy the fall foliage, and have no doubt we'll be back for a third time in the future. Jackie is very thoughtful and responsive host, leaving detailed check-in and house information with everything you could possibly need. The inside of the house is modern and spotless-- Not in a way that feels cold and sterile, the space is inviting and zen. With windows on all sides of the open floor plan, you are enveloped in nature and have a beautiful view overlooking long meadow pond. The kitchen is well equipped if you like to cook and there is laundry should you need it. Great location, 5 minutes from March Farm, 5 minutes from Oliva Cafe (delicious) and 15 minutes from Bantam Market for all of your essentials.

Repeat visit - we love this place!
We spent five days here in August, and every aspect of this retreat is delightful. The house is immaculate, with a well-equipped modern kitchen, comfortable beds and lovely bedding. The sizable deck is wonderful, with a great grill, picnic table, and lounge chairs overlooking the lake. The overall design and decor is unusually tasteful and modern, without sacrificing comfort. As swimmers and kayakers, we delighted in Long Meadow Pond (which is more like a long lake). The water is fresh and didn't have the algae blooms that have frustrated us elsewhere. There is easy access to the water on the private dock--if, that is, you can make it past the tempting hammock! Power boats are not permitted, so the entire landscape is blissfully quiet, other than the contributions of songbirds and crickets. We spent most of our time at the house and in the water, but be sure not to miss the farm stand down the road and their excellent fresh vegetables and fruit pies! The road offers lovely woodland walks, as well as a fascinating Colonial-era cemetery. Jackie was ever attentive, available, and helpful for questions large and small. We're already planning our return visit!

An amazing property, totally modern and convenient in a solitary setting
We loved our stay on Long Meadow Pond; we loved the shaded deck above the lake and the gentle breezes and perfect quiet. No boats, no parties, just solitude for reading, conversations, writing or thinking. I can imagine this place as perfect for any New England season, with drives, walks and hikes only moments away.

Amazing little place!
Our stay at this little place was just what we needed! The description and photos are exactly accurate and the setting quite spectacular. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back next summer. It was so relaxing, with very little notice of surrounding neighbors b/c of the wooded surrounding, but close enough to a few New England towns to feel connected to civilization. The lake is also quite beautiful and very quiet. We kayaked, swam and did yoga on the dock each day! Loved it!
