This house is at a great location for a ski vacation. It fits 6 people so you can split the cost and enjoy hanging out at the house together. It was very clean, but the carpet could use a replacement and the house smells strongly of cigarette smoke.
Really nice property and had plenty of space for 6 adults. Location is good and it was easy to drive over to Heavenly to ski. It was also just a few minutes from a grocery store with everything we needed. Would come again!
We stayed at the Lodge Pole Chalet in South Lake Tahoe for the 4th of July weekend. This place is great! It was a very hot weekend, and luckily this Lodge is in a very shaded area, and the staff had been sure to keep all the curtains and blinds closed to keep it cool. It was really comfortable. We ended up eating all of our meals there rather than eating out because it was so nice.
And don't be put off by the front of the Lodge when you first arrive. It's old and rustic, but it's also very clean and comfortable. We did not really spend any time in the upstairs area because it was just two of us. We would definitely stay there again.
Also, the process of checking in and out with Lake Tahoe Accommodations was very quick and simple. They were even able to let us check in early. We highly recommend them.
We were here on a ski vacation, so it really served its purpose. However, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone using it as a pleasure vacation. No dishwasher, the downstairs carpet is very old and dirty, and there was a very stale musty odor (although it is an old cabin). It is very outdated (wallpaper, mirror tiles, original carpet, exposed wiring). If the fireplace was working, it would've felt more cozy. That being said, we are Asian, lol, and are used to clean carpets, walking around without shoes. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is quiet. The managing company is very good and easy to communicate.
Several minor repairs were needed on property. Some oversights noted with cleaning. Front and back decks need repair and painting. Upstairs was very nice and would be great for children, although no bathroom. Nice back patio facing woods was pleasant.

Stay
The lighting is not the best. Very out dated. There where a lot of spider webs and there was even a bat in there and all we were told was will let maintenance know along with a few other issues we came across with the property.
The airframe structure is becoming rarer so this was unique stay for us. There are 5 beds in 3 bedrooms. The heater in one of the room didn't worked but we plugged in another socket and it worked. There is also main big heater. Cabin is kind of dark and doesn't have a lot of lighting inside but probably not a deal breaker. I have to say that things looked kind of outdated and bit dusty for about 2X money we had to pay than usual in pick winter season. I don't think it was totally worth it but everything else in below price range looked even more low down. Bathrooms didn't had liquid hand soaps and there were less toilet paper so we needed to do shopping trip however fortunately a lot of bath towels and you get by without doing laundry for a week. The key is physical and the Lake Tahoe Accommodation requires a lengthy process of signing a contract, uploading selfie, driver licence etc and then only they give code. Fortunately, they are very responsive and we had snafu at 10 PM arrival and they were able to react quickly. If you are going for skiing for Lake Tahoe, you definitely want to wait for snow reports. In Dec 2023 there was no natural snow and 2/3rd of lifts were closed but as beginners it was still ok for us. As we were coming from Washington it was obvious that we could have gone to local ski resorts at less than half the price. In 2022 there was like 5ft of snow in Lake Tahoe but it might start in Jan, not Dec. Sprout cafe and ton of restaurants within 10 mins.
