Looking for a family friendly place off the beaten path, but close enough for fun in the sun? The townhouse is just minutes from all that Perdido Key and the surrounding area has to offer. Walk the white sugar sand beaches of Perdido Key and Orange Beach or go kayaking at Johnson Beach State Park. Pensacola is also home of the Blue Angels, and you can tour the Naval Aviation Museum and the Pensacola Lighthouse.

If you want to dine out, there are several great restaurants & pubs just minutes where the locals hang out. Publix is just 5 minutes and Target and Walmart are 10 minutes down the road for your convenience. For your shopping interests, you'll enjoy strolling through the unique local shops darned with art works and beach décor. Orange Beach, AL is about 20 minutes away, and has many options for dinning and entertainment.

Home was exactly as advertised. Lovely, private backyard that was perfect for our dog. Many extras in the kitchen. Very clean and updated . Owner extremely responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing Place!

I really enjoyed this property more than any other place I’ve ever stayed. It was very convenient to the beach, restaurants, basically everywhere we visited while on our trip. I loved the fenced in back yard for my dog. It was very clean and inviting. Beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

This was an overall great stay. The property was conveniently placed and it was easy to get to where we needed. It was very clean and cozy. Would recommended to anyone looking in that area. Our dogs had a great stay as well.

Family Vacay 2024

Absolutely great property and vacation rental! It was the right amount of space for my husband and I and our 2 children. We were very close to the beach, which we visited daily. We were able to walk or run in the neighborhood, visit local restaurants like Hub Stacey's and Paul's pizza. This was a great property to stay at. Booking, check in, and check out were very easy. We highly recommend Grotto Getaway.

Overall a decent place to stay

The townhome was cute and the little yard was convenient for letting out our dog. It wasn’t 5 star kind of clean with dog hair left on chair, trash found behind bed table, bed is a bit stiff (I’m more of a soft mattress fan), towels had a different smell when wet, and the water heater did not allow for any hot water (just lukewarm). It was a nice enough place and the neighborhood seemed safe. I might return, but I can’t give a 5 star rating for the above reasons. We did not disclose any of these things to the owner, but I’m sure the water heater issue may have been fixed had we asked, but it didn’t affect our stay enough to reach out.

Amazing little hideout!

This amazing place is tucked away and it’s so peaceful! Literally everything you need is there. We went there during an hurricane evacuation and I can’t believe we got this little place for so many days last minute. Back yard is private with a patio table. Both rooms have private balconies. Wi-fi is great, I work remote. We definitely plan on going back when we can actually relax and aren’t storm stressed with work. Thanks for the amazing stay, Gregg. We appreciate you being so accommodating and letting us extend our stay as well.

Perfect Location

The Grotto Family Getaway was the perfect place for us. It was close to everything, in a quiet neighborhood, and our sweet fur baby, Odie, got to tag along. The townhouse is beautifully decorated, the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything you need is there & the host, Gregg answered all of our questions. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend this townhouse to anyone looking for a great beach trip to Perdido Key!

Cute, clean townhouse for a nice getaway

We had a wonderful experience renting the property from beginning to end. The booking process was easy as well as check-in. The property is exactly as described online.
