Family Summer Getaway

The property was just as described, perfectly located right next to the park. Which was great for my two young children who enjoyed the playground as well as the basketball, tennis courts and Pickleball courts. The house came with a four person golf cart which made trips to and from the beach as well as two and from the downtown area a breeze. Would highly recommend also checking out the Isle of Palm marina there were some really good food. We also took the golf cart in that direction and had no issues with finding a place to park as well as getting in and out of the marina. but highly recommend this house for a young family or for people who want a quiet location to enjoy Isle Palm

Nice last minute weekend with dogs

We had a last minute trip to IOP and have 3 dogs. The ower was very easy to work with and responsive. Even allowed our special requests for extra dogs with fees. The house was as described. Clean, although not close to the beach it was an easy walk. Golf Cart was a nice bonus but we didn't use it. Property is older property and could use some updating, the furniture is very comfortable, but dated and worn. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook/grill. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would rent again for a nice dog-friendly option.

Family weekend trip

A home away from home quaint beach cottage. Our family enjoyed our stay on the Isle of Palms. We were just a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach and marina. Loved the rental being pet friendly! So fun having our fur babies with us!

Good location

The inside of house was nice. It has been upgraded. The kitchen is nice but not enough room for everyone to sit. Dining table is very small and only seats 4 counter seats 2. Washer and dryer were a plus and the golf cart was great to have. It’s not a bad walk to beach either (about 3 blocks). Good water pressure but Tub has no stopper. One of bunk beds had no ladder so it was hard to get in and out of top bunk for my daughter. Patio furniture was very dirty. And folded up. The front walkway is broken and uneven making it hazardous. Several of us almost face-planted our first day before we knew to be careful walking on it.

Super-convenient Isle of Palms House

This house made for a fantastic trip to IOP. Plenty of room, incredibly convenient to restaurants, the beach, and stores. Teri is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Hope to be back soon!

Great location, very responsive property owner

I stayed here for a long weekend recently while passing thru by boat. The golf cart was very convenient. Access to the property was a breeze. The home is very comfortable and a great place to relax or catch a ride to many of the nearby attractions. Some of the previous reviews mention a musty smell. We too noticed this, but once we got in and cooled the house down it was fine. I think like many homes in this area, if they sit for a week or 2 in extreme heat with the AC at 80 or above you can always expect some stale air. It is in one of the most humid places in the country, so that should be expected. We had some very minor concerns upon check in that I relayed to the property owner, who was VERY responsive, and was willing to send someone immediately to address. Our experience was a good one, and I would rent this property again.

A great beach vacation for a large family plus friends

We were looking for a vacation spot that would give our family comfortable lodging with 7 adults plus 2 friends with access to a nice beach. We generally don't like large crowds and all the hustle and bustle of a touristy area. This ranch house on the Isle of Palms was perfect. The beach was a short walk through a park and a couple of quite blocks, but the owner also supplied a golf cart, which we used extensively shuttling people to the beach. There were 3 bedrooms with plenty of sleep space for everyone. The beach was not crowded at all, even on the 4th of July with nice weather, The park adjacent to the house was beautiful and had tennis courts and soccer fields (which we used), but also nice baseball fields and an exercise center. Stores were a short drive away and traffic across the bridge was very smooth. We ventured into historical Charleston for ice cream one evening, which was an easy drive. We would definitely recommend this house to others with a larger group.

Nice place but....

House location was good. Plenty of space for our group of 7. Overall we had a good time! That being said.... There was a pretty bad musty smell. Overwhelming at times. Also the golf cart was very dirty and didn’t seem to be maintained very well. If these two things were taken care of it would have been a great place to stay.

Great home for our family plus dog

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was in a quiet cul de sac right next to the community park. Our 3 teens had a great time playing soccer there. The home was a good size for us and I loved the full sized washer and dryer! The kids also liked the Wii and the bedroom set-ups. Loved the golf cart but we walked the short walk to the beach most days. Thanks Teri for the almost immediate responses to any question I had. Thanks again- we will definitely book here again!

My family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the property and the amenities that were available. Check-in was a breeze. Recreation center next-door . A five minute walk to the beach or two minute drive to the to beach on golf cart. Owner was very proactive from beginning until end.

Perfect Beach Getaway

We had a large group of 10 friends that booked this home for a weekend getaway. It was absolutely amazing!! The home is clean and nice with plenty of sleeping room. The walk to the beach is so easy but having access to the golf cart really made it a breeze. Teri, the owner, was so responsive and a fabulous host. I can not recommend this home highly enough!

Superb stay at a lovely home

We have been twice to stay at this lovely home, decorated to a “T” and has everything necessary to enjoy a get away at Isle of Palms. Clean, comfortable and charming we hope to go again one day. The owner is easily accessible and very accommodating as well. We look forward to our time there again in the future!

House as advertised--very charming, clean, lots of room. Owner very responsive and helpful. I stayed with 4 teens and a dog and everyone had space for sleeping and hanging out. We did not use the golf cart or grill. The house is a very easy walk to the beach and right next to a rec center that conveniently has a dog park. It's an easy drive to supermarket. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, Home & Golf Cart-2nd Time Here

Easy/short walk to the beach and very close to IOP’s only grocery store (Harris Teeter) and restaurants. Having the golf cart made it easier to take our stuff to the beach but sometimes we just walked. Had everything we needed - stocked kitchen with all the essentials plus a Keurig & blender. Nice having everything on one floor and the new washer & dryer were great to have. Liked that it’s on a short street by the Rec Center. This was our 2nd time here and we will definitely come back again

Warm inviting home!

Charming and very comfortable! Stayed for a long weekend with 2 other couples and had plenty of room and a blast. Great kitchen! Beach and Isle of Palms festival a short golf cart ride away. Loved it!

Great location-Close to Everything & Golf Cart too

This house was perfect for our group of 3 couples. The living room is a great size and there’s even a separate den. Loved having the golf cart to ride over to The Retreat, Windjammer, shops, the beach and the Marina. Can’t wait to come back and go paddle boarding! Easy check-in and check-out and owner was very helpful before and during the stay.

Lots of Extras-Perfect Location-House for us

We had a group of adults and children and thisnhouse was great for us! Even our dog loved it-the Park next door is beautiful and big with a great playground and a dog park too. Isle of Palms has great restaurants and nightlife too. We didn’t really need the golf cart because everything was so close but it was fun to have when we wanted to run to Harris Teeter or to the beach. The owner has it stocked with everything from coolers to beach towels to extra blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed. She helped us find places to rent bicycles and beach umbrellas and was available to answer questions. We will definitely rent this house again.

Disappointing

Unfortunately, this will be my first and last time using VRBO for my traveling. I will return to the other tried and true companies I have traveled with the last 20 years. The property itself was nice. The proximity to the beach and beach access are very convenient. We were unaware of the plumbing issues in the kitchen, which made the first impression difficult. The property manager worked out most of the kinks with us. Although, there were a lot of hidden costs after signing up for the property that were not covered under the initial information on the website. We were charged for 3 people who couldn't make it, disappointing the monies not refunded. They had circumstances out of their control, such as accident to hospital that kept them home. I would not recommend this company or property manager.

Why they chose this property

IOP is loved by many, so traffic can get pretty crazy on Palm Blvd headed toward Wild Dunes BUT it's not a problem for Station House @ 28th!

Our house is nestled in between the Intercoastal / Morgan Creek and the Ocean, so you don't have to make the LONG trek on Palm Blvd. Just turn left onto 21st Avenue (after the Connector & Harris Teeter on the left) and right onto Waterway Blvd to 28th Avenue and Station House is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

What makes this property unique

Having a quiet, cul de sac on IOP is almost unheard of but we have it! It is perfect for letting the kids ride their bikes, scooters & skateboards, since you don't have to worry about traffic or a busy street!

Plus, with IOP Rec's tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, yoga, baseball, soccer fields, great children's park and dog park for you to use when you'd like next door, there's something for everyone!
