Great place

Place was so cute and clean. It was perfect for my friend and I. The only one thing is the second bed room has a curtain. Wish it had a farm door or something because I get up early and my friend doesn’t and it’s off the kitchen. Otherwise perfect place. We will be back.

Cozy cabin with great location

We had a great stay in this cozy cabin! Everything was as advertised on the listing and was very clean. We had three people and it was comfortable. 6 would be a bit tight but definitely workable. It was 90 degrees while we were there and the ac kept us plenty cool. We brought our boat and loved the proximity to the boat launch. The driveway is a touch narrow but absolutely doable. Hosts were polite and good with communication. We will be back in the future!

Absolutely Amazing!

This was my first trip to Houghton Lake and I have to say that it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The Cabin was wonderful! The property manager touched base as we entered the property and gave us a mini tour. He even had snacks on the table and bottled water in the refrigerator waiting for us. Shampoo, lotion, body wash he had everything perfect for our stay. My fiance' and I enjoyed the fireplace, we brought wood but, wood was cut and stacked for us to use. What an amazing place to stay. I look forward to going and staying at the Cabin again!!!

Exactly what we were looking for

We selected this place due to its access to Houghton Lake and because it was a great home base to be able to venture out and see various sites in Northern Michigan. It did not disappoint. The place was spotless with a small stock of snacks/beverages upon arrival. We had some confusion about using the door code to get in and the property manager walked us thru it immediately - very helpful. Just be aware that if you intend to do a trip that will entail washing clothes, this place does not have a washer/dryer (not an issue for us).

Very nice place

Definitely a nice place. Very accommodating communication with property manager. I would definitely stay again. Only 1 knock and it is a very small one. It would be very tough to sleep 6 as the max occupancy says. There would be no place to move. But a very comfortable stay for our small group.

Family vacation

Our stay was pretty good. The cabin was cute. However it did need to have updated linens sheets and bedspreads. It was nice to extra blankets. The mattresses seemed to be worn out as well. Even though the couches were slip covered they also were saggy. The only other observation was the appliances were not properly cleaned from previous guests. The cabin was in walking distance to beach area. The outside was kept very tidy. I did appreciate the immediate response from the property manager about items that were broken from previous tennants. I would stay here again.

The house was very clean, and the amenities were excellent. There was firewood in the house for use, water in the refrigerator and snacks. The thing that fell short for us was the furniture. The couches were low and not very comfortable. The recliner was old and tilted to the left. The beds both tilted inward towards the middle of the mattress. Sleep is so important, and those beds and or mattresses needed replacing.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was really a great place to get away from busy life schedule we have in Florida. Mark and Donna were really helpful on letting us know about how to work everything in the cabin. Will definitely come back

We would definitely stay again! It was the perfect size for us, it was very clean and smelled good! The bathroom towels and bed linens were very nice and soft, not the typical hard hotel linens. We were looking for accommodations close to a boat launch, and this was perfect!

Comfortable size for a small family or a couple

Cabin is tastefully decorated as an "Up North" retreat. Managers were in touch before check-in during and afterwards. We had to call management because the key pad quit working but with a quick phone call, it was very easily reset. There were extra bathroom amenities like shower gels, shampoo's etc., you are free to use. On the kitchen table was a decent assortment of snacks to eat. There was a Keurig machine with plenty of different coffees to sample. We used the outdoor fire pit one evening, and that was fun for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. The bed were clean and comfy. Wall AC units in all the rooms kept the place plenty cool. Would certainly recommend this cabin to friends and family!
