Just down the hill from the entrance to the Sanctuary is our beach area. Swimming, sunning, floating, fishing, kayaking is all just steps away. Our home includes 2 kayaks and life vests for you to enjoy during your stay. Enjoy a paddle along the shoreline and watch the lake come alive as the sun rises over the eastern shore.

The home feature 4 bedrooms. The first-floor master with its en suite bathroom has queen bed. The 3 bedrooms upstairs include 1 with a full size and a single bed, 1 with 2 single beds and the 3rd with a full size bed. The sofa in the living room is a queen sleeper sofa. Lovely Cabin on Lake Wallenpaupak

Thank you for a delightful week at your cabin! The place was spotless and roomy even for our large group. The kitchen was fully equipped, there were lots of games and puzzles to do, and the cabin had a very cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, making s’mores over a campfire, kayaking, hiking in the woods, and seeing lots of wildlife including mama bear and 3 cubs!) Thank you for a quiet week in the woods to make wonderful memories with our family. We look forward to returning to your cabin!

Modern upscale cabin surrounded by Nature

This place is great and the whole family wants to go back. The cabin is clean, smells wonderful, and is in the best location ever. It backs into woods. We saw deer, chipmunk and squirrels constantly. We also saw a possum and black bear and cubs. . The dock is just a short walk away through a quiet neighborhood. We loved that kayaks and a boat slip were available. Owner let us use his slip which made having a boat at the lake for water sports so much easier. Lake was busy on the weekend but during the week it was fabulous. There are lots of trails surrounding this cabin too that we enjoyed. Mark was easy to reach, the cabin was easy to access and had everything we needed. We were really happy with the quality, amenities and location of this rental. A gem

Cappys Cabin, the perfect getaway for relaxing and fun in the sun!

My husband, our two boys ( 9 and 2 )and my sister in law and her husband and their teens (19 and 15 )had the most wonderful lake getaway at this beautiful cabin. We had plenty of room not too feel on top of each other or disorganized with all of our belongings. The place is spotless and smells wonderful. You can tell Mark the owner takes pride in his home, Everything down to the decor is perfect. The house is well appointed with anything you need in the kitchen Netflix., Tons of games which our kids enjoyed, tubes and kayaks for the lake available for your enjoyment as well. We enjoyed having our coffee in the am on the screened in porch and watching the wildlife right in the backyard. We spent our days fishing off of the doc and swimming in the lake. At night we sat outside around the firepit and made s’mores! Everyone in our group agreed that cappys cabin felt like home from the moment we arrived, none of us wanted to leave this special retreat ! Mark the owner was a pleasure to work with, he answered all(there were many) of my questions in a very timely manner and was always happy to help. I highly recommend cappys cabin to anyone! In fact my husband and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back. I imagine this place would be spectacular in the fall!

Great new log cabin style home

Owner was great with communication and check in/out procedure. The log home is brand new and in great condition. Internet connection was no problem as some of us had to work a bit during the week. Short walk to the quiet community dock. The use of the owners two (very nice) kayaks made the experience even better. Deer in the backyard every night. We would have used the fire pit more if it hadn’t rained as much. Had a great time.

Perfect Getaway on Lake Wallenpaupak

We have stayed at many house rentals, and this was by far the first one that exceeded our expectations. From the great communication with Mark prior to our arrival to the home like atmosphere when we arrived. The house was not only immaculate, it smelled wonderful! We loved how beautifully it was decorated and the cozy yard nestled in the woods. Everyone in the neighborhood we encountered was very friendly and welcoming. We came with a two year old, an infant and two teenagers; everyone really enjoyed their time. During our quiet vacation we enjoyed fishing on the lake, walking around the trails, and even visiting Claws and Paws Zoo. We would love to visit Cappy's Cabin again.

Can't wait to return

We had an amazing experience staying at this beautiful cabin. To start, the cabin itself was perfect. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. There were nine of us staying there (4 older children, 4 adults, and 1 grandmother). We were all extremely comfortable, and loved our stay. The location was wonderful. The community was very peaceful, and we were only a short walk to the slip where we kept our boat. We spend hours on the lake each day, and ate most of our meals in the cabin. It worked out perfectly to be able to hop on and off the lake each day, without a hassle. We loved watching the dear in the backyard, and spend our nights building campfire and making smores. Finally, the hosts were extremely available and accommodating. It was apparent they took pride in their home, and hoped that we enjoyed the home as much as they do. We can not wait to return next year.

Very clean cabin-like house

Stayed here a few nights and was very happy to walk into a clean, updated house with log walls. Cute lake and cabin decorations throughout the house. Sheets and towels provided and they were very nice, it felt like home. Seen deer everyday and it was a short walk to Lake Wallenpaupack! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit this lake.

Immaculate, cozy mountain get-away

The cabin was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean. I'm kind of clean freak - can see hidden dirt all the time. There was none! One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. The beds were comfortable and all furniture in excellent condition. The kitchen had everything you could need, including a slow cooker that allowed me to have meals ready after a fun day on the lake. The neighborhood was mostly quiet and deer graze right out the back door. Looked just like the pictures! The owner was friendly and easy to work with. The only negative is lack of air conditioning,, which could have made the week unpleasant if it had been really hot. We had one hot night, but were fortunate that nights were cooler the rest of the week. During the day, the cabin is well shaded and there are ceiling fans and windows that offer nice breezes. This is the perfect cabin for a spring or fall get-away. I do not recommend this cabin for very young children. It's TOO nice and toddlers can be messy. We covered the chairs with towels when the boys (age 2 and 3) ate and were careful about keeping drinks in the dining area. However, the boys had a great time and there was plenty of room for them to play. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin. It was virtually perfect!
