Beautiful home in a beautiful setting! My mom and I took a trip back to Morgantown where we are from and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house was updated but still had its old charm and character. If we ever make it back to town we will definitely stay here again!
Staircase a great place for photos. Very clean. Communication with host contact very responsive and immediate. Appreciated generous supply of towels, paper products, and soap.

Such a great updated house with a great view! Carol is super responsive and great to work with!
This house has cute ameneties to make you feel at home and everything you need so you don't have to pack so much in your bags! The updates to this house are great. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again!
Carol was an amazingly kind and welcoming host. The special and thoughtful touches throughout her home were obvious. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Morgantown. Thank you Carol!
This rental met or exceeded all of our expectations. After grilling dinner on the deck, we enjoyed the sunset and nice country view. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this property.
Home was nice and cozy, home was very clean. Only downside is small yard no room to have kids run around and play and the house is very close to a noisy road but the owner was very friendly and helpful!
The house and amenities are even better than described- lots of little touches that really make it a great stay. It was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the like-new updates on an old home were top quality. We used this house as our home base while in Morgantown for a football game, and it was the perfect location. While only 2 miles from campus and downtown, it felt like you were in the country with beautiful views and such a serene setting. I highly recommend this property!
Beautiful house great location! What a wonderful classic clean house and a beautiful rural setting only 5-10 minutes from Downtown Morgantown. The host was fantastic and responded very quickly every time we reached out. If I could rate more than five stars for anything I would. Beautiful location and beautiful house. We highly recommend this host and Home! Thank you for having us.
Loved the house and amenities! Kitchen well stocked. Beds very comfortable, but Traffic noise was terrible through the night. Be sure to bring a sound machine.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carol’s Cottage. The location is fantastic, really convenient to downtown, but in a country setting and away from the noise. The house has tons of character and is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is supplied well. The appliances are new. There is just one bathroom and it is downstairs away from the bedrooms, but it is large and setup well and it really wasn’t a problem, even with our family of five. Some other reviews commented about noise, but that wasn’t our experience. The house is along a country road so there are occasional load vehicles and motorcycles, but we didn’t notice the noise from inside at all. We would definitely enjoy staying here again.
Very enjoyable stay. The house was great, clean, and easy to access.
Recommend that light sleepers bring ear plugs or white noise machine (just road noise)
my brother and I needed a safe place to stay while in the process of moving my mother to another state. This little house filled the need beautifully. Had we rented at a hotel, it would have been 2 separate rooms with no comfortable place to congregate or eat dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning before heading to our final destinations. We had a lovely stay.
We chose this home for a weekend away over the holiday w friends. The home is nicely appointed, with all your kitchen needs. Beds and rooms were comfortable. Definitely would consider another stay if in the area.
This home is very cozy, and lots of sweet touches that make it welcoming and comfortable. The home is recently updated and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our only concern was that there is considerable road noise--both from the road the house is on, and the highway which is visible down the hill from the house. We had hoped for a more remote setting, but we appreciated the efforts that had been made to make the home itself comfortable.
Updated bathroom and kitchen.
Comfortable and charming with everything we needed. While sitting in the front porch we watched humming birds flit about. The back deck was perfect for outdoor meals.
Will rent again when I’m the area.

Why they chose this property
I chose to buy this house, because when I was a little girl growing up. I loved this house, I said to my self one day when it comes up for sale I’m going to buy this house. This past March it said For Sale. The rest is history I bought the house on 1006 River Rd and remodeled every room. Wait until you see it. You will see why I loved it.
