Family Vacation

Very clean and pretty house with great views and a fun pool area plus two single person kayaks for exploring the waterway. We used the house as our home base for exploring Seattle, Mount Rainier and Olympic National Park.

Awesome home

The property and home is so nice, so convenient and has awesome sunsets. We couldn’t have stayed at a better place and we will definitely go back. The pool, the barbecue area, the kayaks and comfy beds is more than anyone could ask for.

Phenomenal tropical paradise in Bremerton, WA

Cannot say enough great things about this home. The owner's have taken such care in every detail in the design, inside and out. The beds are so comfortable, everything smells clean and fresh. The pool and hot tub are amazing with the water falls and slide. Then there are multiple out door seating areas with great views of the water. There is even a fire pit to stay warm on the cool nights. Everyone of our family of 8 used the kayaks daily. There are so many things to walk to, including a great restaurant on the water. I just want to thank Jennifer, the owner, for always being available and so kind, and making her home available for us to enjoy. She is wonderful. I highly recommend her home, it doesn't get much better.

Great pool on the water!

With 6 kids the pool was best feature we could’ve asked for. The basement allowed them to watch tv and play games and the green front yard was perfect for soccer. We had a great time!

Fantasy Vacation

The pictures don't lie! It's a beautiful home inside and out. We went over Thanksgiving weekend. Though it rained ,,it didn't dampen our fun..the pool and hot tub were wonderful. The only suggestion would be that for us older folks having a railing going into the pool and hot tub for safety reasons would help. Other than that.. It was a great stay. The house has everything ..Jennifer was just a text away in case we needed anything. Very relaxing..close to a lot of restaurants and to the ferries. Thank you Jennifer & Mack!!!!!

This place is definitely an oasis!

The most beautiful property I have stayed in so far! The owners are lovely people and the first to ever greet us upon arrival to show us around. The house itself is comfy and cozy and had everything we needed. The grounds are incredibly well maintained and absolutely breathtaking. You can take an endless amount of pictures here! And the pool area is the icing on the cake.

The absolute best place to stay in Bremerton

We come from Las Vegas to Seattle every summer for a week long golf trip. For the last several years my family and another family have been staying here and it is absolutely perfect! Its location is central to everything. While we go play golf everyday the girls and kids hang out at the beautiful resort like pool and outdoor areas right on the sound! Jennifer is very accommodating and easy to work with! Thanks again Jennifer for another great trip, see you again next year!!!!

Grandkids really loved the pool and slide.

The house is cutely decorated and is probably the best stocked kitchen of any house I’ve rented. Lots of room for the family to hang out, or not. Only thing I would recommend would be ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms (we hit a pretty hot time of year).

As good as it gets

The house is really as pretty as the pictures. Beautiful inside and out. The pool and hot tub are heated, and pool, deck, and yard are are all pristine. The house is also kept very clean, and all of the finishes, appliances, and bedding are top of the line. If I were the owner I am not sure I would share it, but we are glad they do. The two bathrooms (one downstairs to be used by the largest bedroom, one upstairs to be shared by the other three bedrooms) are not pictured, but they are also very nice. They are not huge, but perfectly adequate in size and really tastefully done. There is also a toilet in the finished basement, and a shower built into the pool area. The pool area itself opens out to a great view of the water, but is still very private (as is the entire front and back yard). Our family of 7 loved our stay. Half the days we just spent at the house (enjoying the pool, kayaking, playing badminton, eating outside, etc), and the other days we would walk to the ferry and ride into Seattle for a few hours. This location has exceptionally easy access to the city by ferry (we never even took the car, we just walked around the city), but is also close to Olympic National Park. All the little things are right as well (lots of pool towels and toys, a great collection of movies, easy access to Netflix, large screen TV, and fast answers to questions via text with owners - we did not have many, but responses were always prompt and positive.)

Truly an Urban Oasis!

We loved everything about Jennifer and Mack's beautiful waterfront home! It is comfortable and well kept inside and out. It is a 1932 home with charm and some resulting minor issues like the breaker would trip when the toaster and coffee maker were used at the same time. But Jennifer responded and resolved any issues very quickly. We were there with our 4 adult children and it had plenty of room for all of us. The pool, spa, and outdoor areas were fantastic! There are multiple seating and eating areas, and we used them all. We did not use the kayaks, but they looked fun. The Boat Shed restaurant was a short walk down the beach and Bremerton was less than a mile walk across the bridge. As a bonus, we got to see one of the most amazing fireworks display over the bridge on Saturday night. It was one of our best vacations. Our daughter may be moving to Seattle, and if so, my husband and I definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Jennifer and Mack!

Not a single complaint. The pictures are true. Possibly the best house rental ever. Jennifer is a fantastic host and provides so many extra touches. Wish I didn't live across the country because this would be a yearly rental for us!

The property is absolutely amazing! We loved staying here, its perfect for us!

This was our second straight year staying at this property while in Seattle for our annual golf trip and we will be staying there every year! The location is central to everything. All the features the house has to offer inside and out, just can't be beat! Pool, spa, fire pit, BBQ area, multiple patios right on the water, the perfect place to just hang out! I even messed up on my reservation dates between the house and our flights, and Jennifer generously accommodated the dates! Sorry again Jennifer and Thank you!

Great place to just hangout

Property is based in Bremerton, in a quant little throw-back community about 1 hour (slow ferry) or 30 minutes (fast ferry) away from downtown Seattle. The house is a charming 1930's vintage home that is well maintained and well stocked with everything you will need. Bedrooms and common rooms are small but comfortable. The real asset of this property is the outdoor living space. The pool, hot tub, fire pit, gas grill and multiple outdoor dining and sitting areas near the pool and in the backyard make this a great place just to hang out. Our four children were in the pool and hot tub everyday. We spent a few days just hanging out here rather than going anywhere else. The house is right on the edge of the water with access for canoeing and fishing (canoes and rod & reels are provided by the owner). The owners were very responsive to any request we had (and we did not have many because everything was so well maintained). The ferries to Seattle are only a 15 minute (.9 mile) walk away from the house. The fast ferries are really commuter ferries during rush hours with limited seating and times so be sure to buy these in advance of your trip if you plan to take them. The slower ferries have many more crossings and do not require advanced purchases. Coffee shops and bakeries are just a few minute walk from the house.

Absolutely Amazing!!

My family of 3 daughters, 2 grandchildren, sister, brother-in-law and myself just returned from an absolutely wonderful week at this beautiful property. From the moment of contact with Jennifer, her kindness and compassion so very clear, I knew her home would be the perfect spot for us. This historic home and its charming characteristics is beautifully decorated and up-to-date. The comfy beds, top of the line bedding, furniture, TV's, Sonos sound system, high end appliances and abundance of towels was truly wonderful. The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous hydrangeas, calla lilies, manicured green grass, shrubs and trees. The California kitchen with fridge and Weber BBQ was thoroughly enjoyed for our "at home" family dinners, one of them being Alaskan King Crab and Steak, all picked up, from Pike Marketplace. The hot tub and saltwater pool with slide and waterfalls was thoroughly enjoyed by all especially my 6 and 4 year old grandchildren. The 7 different seating areas including fire pit table for evening, gave everyone an option to enjoy whatever their heart desired. We did do a couple of trips to Seattle by ferry (50 min ride) the terminal is 5 min from property . We also did a tour of the navy ship that is seen from the backyard, visited the beautiful wharf area, lots of nice eateries there, drove up to Silverdale (20 min) for shopping (Kitsap mall). Since we had been to Seattle a few years ago we didn't need to visit all the tourist spots and were able to enjoy the Bremerton area. We took this trip to have my husband's ashes made into glass memorials at Artful Ashes and being able to stay in this beautiful Oasis has helped with mending our hearts and souls. Thank you Jen and Mac for sharing your amazing home with us!

Truly an Urban Oasis

From the phone calls with Jennifer to when we stepped foot into her Urban Oasis, our entire family vacation was beyond words. This place was absolutely top notch in my book. I'm a very particular person when it comes to staying in other people's homes. I only expect better than I have at home, and this place had it. The minute we walked through the gate to enter the property, we felt like we walked into paradise. The grounds that surround this over 70 year old property are incredible. Colorful pot's everywhere filled with exotic plant's, huge Hydrangeas in white, purple and pink, and a perfectly manicured lawn. The cleanliness of this home was impeccable. The bed linens, the bath towels, the kitchen set up, the furniture inside and outside, and all the amenities that went along with this rental are nothing I've ever seen before. Not that having a pool, a hot tub, and a slide, all made of huge rock boulders wasn't enough....she also furnished a fishing boat for two, Kayaks, and a gorgeous fire pit to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks that they displayed off of Minnete Bridge. What a fabulous show that was!! This was the first time they had this show off this 5 year old bridge, and OMG, did we hit the jackpot for the 4th of July entertainment!! And to be shoreline along the beautiful Puget Sound!! Incredible!! Also, the Ferry rides were so much fun for my son, his wife and our two grandchildren. All the Ferry's were incredibly clean, like brand new, and so close to Jennifer's Urban Oasis. I could go on and on about this home, and everything that went along with it. This was by far the best family vacation any parent could dream of. My husband, son, daughter in law, two grandchildren and myself agree that this Urban Oasis is all, plus more, the most wonderful place to stay when in Washington, (I'd say it's off the charts to compare to any other VRBO rental in the state of Washington). Thank you Jennifer, for allowing our family to stay at your beautiful, wonderful home. This will be a memory that none of us will ever forget.

stunning view and beautiful home

We stayed for a week at the end of August...it felt like we were in California or Hawaii, it was the perfect getaway. The home was clean and well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was the star for us, it made the cloudy days fun and having the view made it perfect. The owners were great, absolutely no complaints! We would stay here again and again if we could afford to, it was worth every penny!

Pugit Sound Oasis, a true oasis!

We loved this property, just the right number of rooms to accommodate all our family and guests and plenty of space to relax. The pool was a real bonus as we had some fantastic weather. The Bremerton ferry taking us to Seattle was so close and a relaxing way to reach the city. We enjoyed our evening BBQ's watching the sun set over the Olympic park. We would highly recommend this as a great location so close to Seattle.

Puget Sound Oasis is spectacular!

Celebrating family 2016Puget Sound Oasis is spectacular! It was truly a perfect setting - beautiful, immaculate, beachfront home with magnificent views, amazing water features, saltwater pool, hot tub, and perfectly manicured yard.We enjoy family vacations- daughters, son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren and one due in 6weeks (3 years old and underThis was a perfect setting- on a blue sky, sunny day there is no place more beautiful than the Pacific Northwest- but this oasis even made a cloudy sky day a joy! Enjoyed morning coffee while watching sea lions, gulls and even an eagle fishing right in front of the house, and of course we all splashed in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub! Kayaks were provided and we brought our own paddle boards- the water was as smooth as can be! Loved walking the beach with the little ones and enjoyed exploring it through their eyes- words cannot express their innocent wonder! The grill and outside dining area made dinners a pleasure and evening badminton games were just plain fun and we loved watching sunsets. The highlight of course was celebrating the 4th of July there and watching fireworks in every direction from the hot tub Again, this was a perfect setting for a getaway! Jennifer was welcoming and the house was truly charming! Thank you for sharing Puget Sound Oasis with us.The CALLAHAN Clan
