Gorgeous Sunset View & Sandy Beach on Shell Lake with Game Room!

Summer Rates range $700 - $800 per night. We have a 5-night minimum stay summer months June/July/Aug & Fall/Winter/Spring Rates range $399-$650 per night. 2-night minimum fall/winter/spring months -Taxes include 5.5% State of WI & County Sales & Use Tax plus new City of Shell Lake 5% Room Tax. Enjoy the sunset views from the deck of this beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 full bath Cabin on 2600 acre Shell Lake. Fish off the dock, play in the sand, hang by the fire, have some fun in the game room, take walks, bike or just relax. Shell Lake has very good clarity. Wonderful to swim in. We have a large sandy beach & as you walk into the water it’s gradual & does not get deep until past our dock. At the end of our dock, the water is about waist high or so. The town of Shell Lake is a few miles away, across the lake from the cabin. The area around the cabin is very wooded & East Lake Drive is great to take walks around the area or bike, ATV etc.. Located within blocks of the Wisconsin ATV/Snowmobile trails of the Indian-head region of northern Washburn County. Shell Lake is known for Walleye, Bass, Northern Pike & Muskie fishing. Shell Lake is a 2-hour scenic drive from the northeast side of the Twin Cities. We have a set of ordinances for all renters of our cabin from the City of Shell Lake: no fireworks, no tents/trailers/campers on property, no launching boats off the private beach (use public boat launch in Shell Lake only), no driving ATV's on cabin beach & cabin lawn, quiet time outside on beach & on all outside decking is 10pm, no more than 4 motorized vehicles are allowed to park on the premises at any time, the maximum # of occupants is 10 (children ages 0 thru 3 are not counted). Payments received online only.

Long Weekend Getaway with our Adult Kids
This was our first time staying at this beautiful lake/beach front property. The in person check in process was fast and easy. Lots to do outside as well as in. We all kept busy and had a good time. This is one of our top places to stay now as a family getaway.

Absolutely perfect
Stayed here for 5 days with family - 5 adults and 3 kids ages 2-6. It was the perfect cabin for our family. Checkin went smoothly, kitchen had all the equipment we could need, newer appliances, very comfy beds, lots of beach toys and watercraft. The kids loved the downstairs game room. Overall the cabin is very spacious, and set up to provide multiple gathering spaces. The beach is absolutely lovely - soft sand, and the entry into the lake is very sandy and shallow as well, great for toddlers learning to be more comfortable in the water. Lots of water craft to take out (paddle boards, kayak, canoe, paddle boat), and we rented a pontoon that we docked. We hardly saw the neighbors, and the area was very quiet overall. Everything in the cabin seemed clean, well cared for, and in very good condition. Overall a phenomenal experience and we would absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay along with our children and grandchildren. The property is gorgeous. I couldn't believe how well the kitchen was stock with everything you need to cook and store food. We had one rainy day but the game room kept everyone entertained with the wide variety of games. This is the best experience I have had on Vrbo.

Great Family Vacation Spot!
Beautiful home, beautiful beach, beautiful lake. Perfect place to spend time with the family. So much to do both inside and outdoors. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and plenty of space. Kids loved the game room and had pool tournaments for hours!

We just returned from a wonderful weekend! The cabin was spacious but still cozy, with lots of places to hang out and enjoy great family time. Best vacay ever
From the moment you enter the front door you know you are destined for days of vacation life and family memories. Your eyes lead you right to the epic sandy beach lined with an array of water toys - and you are surrounded by a warm comfy vibe, I called it a “cabin hug”. None of us wanted to leave - it is a destination we will definitely be visiting again and again. The owners were friendly and caring and their cabin reflects that as well. Perfect place!
I grew up in the area and now live out of state. I rented this house to celebrate my 50th birthday and introduce Wisconsin to my best friends. It was perfect for our needs. The owners are very generous and thoughtful throughout - well stocked kitchen and linens, firepit, gas grill and kayaks, etc. The lakeshore property cannot be beat. The only thing I wasn't entirely clear on before check-in is the property manager will check you in and out in person - no lockbox for key or access code. Fully understandable that the owners prefer facetime with renters because this property is BEAUTIFUL.

Another amazing vacation on Shell Lake
We enjoyed another week-long vacation on Shell Lake in August, at Pam and Doug's beautiful cabin. We spent the week swimming, jumping off the dock, playing on the beach and using all of the great water toys (paddle boat, paddle boards, kayak and canoe)! We all love using the game room too. The kids especially love playing Big Buck Safari and ping pong. The cabin was fantastic as always. We'll be back!

8 years and still the BEST!
This was our 8th year renting this home . We have two families that meet up with a total of 5 kids (ages 10-19) and there is plenty of room and things to do for everyone. Not only do we love the home, we also love the area! Plenty to do no matter what the weather! Can’t wait to return next summer!

Fantastic Lakefront Cabin
Our family enjoyed spending time at this beautiful, well-appointed cabin. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Gorgeous lake front property with lawn space for endless fun and games, clean sandy beach and swim area, firepit on the beach for bonfires every night, and a game room on the lower level of the cabin for everyone to enjoy. Tom the caretaker was very welcoming and had a lot of helpful information. Our family had a blast!! Thank you Pam and Doug for everything. We would LOVE to come back!!

Beautiful home, comfortable in every way. The beach is sandy, wonderful area for children to play, water is crystal clear. Home is very clean, plenty of towels, wonderful spaces to spread out. Excellent Getaway
This cabin was the perfect location for a long overdue family vacation. There were so many things to do inside and out by the water that there wasn’t a time that we weren’t busy. We made good use of the kayaks and paddle boats when it was hot out, enjoyed s’mores by the fire and even caught some smallmouth bass off the dock! When it was windy out we had plenty of fun in the basement man cave. Everyone in my family had a wonderful time and we would definitely rent this property again in the future.

What makes this property unique

Big sandy beach and very clear water with a sandy bottom. The lake is usually not that busy. You can boat across the lake to Shell Lake and dock your boat and have dinner at Lakeview Bar and Grill in Shell Lake or get hot dogs and ice cream at Scoop N Brew or have breakfast at Shell Lake Lunchbox. All 3 located on main street.
