Great Location. Nice enough condo.
Overall, everything was good to great. Kids had fun in the pool. I enjoyed the lounge chairs along the beach. The nice central location made it easy to explore the south and north sides of the island. Proximity to grocery store was convenient. Pool was small but nice. Really appreciated the daily pool maintenance and cleaning. The end unit condo is perfectly situated in the complex w easy access to the beach and pool. We also appreciated the snorkel gear, boogie boards, floaties, and chairs in the storage room. Very nice amenity. The beach isn’t super swimable at this location but amazing beaches are close. Sheila was very responsive but the internet and pool codes weren’t provided. The kitchen is well stocked w cooking pans and utensils. Overall we enjoyed the low key and mellow vibe of this place and would return here.

It was a great little property. Beautiful sunrises. One of the best condo locations on the property. Very clean and had lots of amenities. The only thing i would complain about was the 2nd bedroom. Not really any privacy and beds killed my back

Nice condo right on the beach!
This was a nice condo that you can just walk out the back door and walk right on the beach! There are lawn chairs that are there that you can sit in and watch the waves!

So nice!!
This place was such a nice spot for our vacation. Such a cute little unit with an amazing view. One thing to consider is air conditioning. Our unit did not have air conditioning. They do have lots of fans available to use which was really nice. The air conditioning situation didn't bother us at all but if you are someone who needs air conditioning this might be an inconvenience. Also the beach. The walk is super easy and it it right there. Although beautiful it is not quite swimable because of the rocks. It is only minor because swimable areas are available just down the way! such an amazing place it was perfect for my family!!

Loved everything about it!!
Everything about this location is perfect. Literally steps from the beach as the listing describes. All the amenities you can possibly need - even had some basic cooking ingredients/seasonings in the pantry (which were maybe left by previous guests). My two kids (10 and 8) also enjoyed their own bed each. The washer was broken which would have caused a minor inconvenience. But hey, unforeseen and uncontrollable things can happen at any time. What matters is how the hosts handle those situations. Jay was quick to respond and Sheila helped us get our laundry done. So it all worked out in the end. I believe Jay said he's getting a replacement so subsequent guests shouldn't have this issue. The only issue I can think of is that the electronic door lock sometimes took a couple tries to unlock. But again, minor issue which I believe will get resolved soon. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here on our next trip to Kauai!

Perfect Location! Wow!
We absolutely loved this place. Very convenient for beach access, swimming pool, grocery store and more. It was very clean which my wife loved. We travelled all over the island hiking and the location made it very easy to get around the island. Only 20 yards from the beach and beautiful views of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay
The property was in a great location and steps away from the water and sand. Even saw a Monk seal right on the beach, perfect spot for watching the sunrise. Well maintained property and the kitchen had all the amenities you need to do any in house cooking. Jay was amazing to deal with and had all the information we needed in advance of our stay. Highly recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Love the location of this unit
This complex is perfectly located in Kapaa. You can walk to most places you want to get to. Jay is great in responding to you. The setting is beautiful. Not a large complex, quiet except for the roar of the ocean!

I loved my stay here in this condo, and the location nearest the beach and pool was a bonus! Our host Jay was kind enough to allow us to tack on another few nights due to cancelled flights, and the manager Sheila was available at the drop of a hat to answer questions. This was a very comfortable condo, with the ocean breeze continuously cooling us. I will stay here again and look forward to repeating this amazing Kauai vacation! Thanks Jay and Sheila

This condo is amazing. The title said 20 steps to the beach. Wasn’t quite true. It was more like 15 steps. It was amazing. Seals on the beach in the morning. Every morning when the tide is out is an enormous amount of tide pools with all kinds of sea life. My whole family loved it and would definitely stay here again!!!!!!!

Lock to the door broke on the first night, but we worked with management and got fixed promptly. Everything else was sublime. Lots within walking distance, beach right outside your door, the pool was also a great feature to have. I loved the closet with beach chair and toys as well.

We loved this place! This is a great location for heading to either the North or South Shore. The condo was immaculate, so close to the beach and the pool, and the grounds well-maintained. Highly recommend!

Great location!
My sister and I ( 2 seniors) just returned from a fabulous holiday in this condo. Everything was spotless and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The location is great....right on the beach but also a very easy walk to grocery shopping and restaurants. Also a very central location on the island. We explored so much of the island and it was perfect to come back to the condo for a relaxing evening.

Such a fantastic stay
Where do I start? Great accommodation in a perfect location. Situated right across the road from shopping facilities and restaurants and importantly right on the beach, the position couldn’t be better. We were even blessed with a visit from a Hawaiian Monk seal every day of our stay. The ground floor unit itself worked well for 2 couples with a full bedroom and another set of single beds in the other room which can be closed off from the main living area. The patio is perfect to eat any meal and as the unit is on the end of the complex and on the ground floor, it is very close the beach and the pool. The host was extremely helpful and easily contacted for the silly questions. We don’t hesitate to recommend this place.

Kauai Kailani was a 40 year time share. We purchased the original offering in 1969 and have enjoyed and raised our family here. Absolutely a perfect spot for kids and quiet time a mixture hard to find. Security in the compound we call 'The Village' in this small resort gives the homey appeal and still close enough to all the action spots on the East side.

Why they chose this property

Small and private with full kitchen gives you the independence of choices to relax within or go out. We have found a perfect blend of staying in or finding a new beaches or trails around the island. Services are close and very walkable. Be careful, these units grow on you like an old shoe:) We know, our Grandkids now insist on coming back

What makes this property unique

Spectacular sunrises will greet you full force in the ocean front window. Like a sunset tradition the sunrise gathers folks to greet the day watching the sun surface from the Pacific Ocean. This unit is one of the last to retreat the sun at days end, just in time for pu,pu's! Spacious Lanai's offer perfect spot for the gathering of the Village.
