We have been to this property several times in the last several years, but due to circumstances we couldn't go for the last two years. In the meanwhile there have been a number of upgrades to the property including one of the showers and the toilets. Everyone in our group was quite pleased with the changes.
The house was very nice. We thought the layout was excellent. The kitchen was very nice (with the exception of gnats). Nice hot tub, good jacuzzi tub. Our teenagers had agreat time.
The back yard needed mowed.
We had the best time at the cabin. It was clean, advertised accurately, comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and plenty of space inside to spread out and yet come together for games at night. Highly recommend!
The host was very easy to reach and provided great advice and recommendations. The property was beautiful and provided nice amenities (fire pit, hot tub). It was a short drive to all activities within New River Gorge Park (hiking, rafting, entertainment). Would definitely stay here again!
This is a nice, comfortable cabin equipped with everything a family needs to enjoy a weekend together. We were in town for a family reunion and did not take advantage of the cabin’s amenities, such as the hot tub; nor did we or prepare big meals, but we clearly could have. Tina was easy to work with and responded to our text messages within a minute or two. We would consider staying here again!
Had a great time for our week long stay in early July. The property was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Seclusion in the woods, quite spot with lots of stars, peacefulness and plenty of room for the dogs. The hot tub was excellent for morning coffee or winding down after a day of activities. The firepit was perfect for the evenings as well. We spent a lot of time at the lake and hiking. Having enough room to park my trailer with kayaks and paddleboards was awesome! We had a great time, would definitely return and absolutely recommend this location.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The cabin is beautiful and the area is lovely and in perfect distance to rafting activities. Make sure to try out the hot tub under the stars!

About the host

I've owned a vacation rental business now for about 20 years. My experience overall has been a very good one. I've met a lot of wonderful people and I have numerous people who renturn to my cabins every year. I love the outdoors and I love nature. I try very hard to be kind to the environment and the critters that live there. If you are coming for a relaxing time and a chance to just get away, then I welcome you with open arms! Let that stress of everyday life go and just relax and take in the clean fresh mountain air!
Why they chose this property
I don't own this particular property. I have a cabin that I own just down the road from here. However, before this property (farm) was sold and developed, I had dreamed of owning it and having several rental cabins availabe to people. This entire property, which stretches all the way to the Meadow River has always been close to my heart. It truely is a peaceful and serene place to be. But, don't take my word for it, find out for yourself!
What makes this property unique
You're going to love the front porch, especially in the morning, where I'm sure you will be able to catch the site of some animals rustling around somewhere for a bite of breakfast. In the evening time, grab a glass of wine, cocktail or ice tea and make your way to the hot tub for some leisure time. You will find this to be a very comfortable and unique place to stay.
