Don't miss this nice charmer. Private beach with 100 ft on Spring Lake located at the end of the street. Master suite is located at the opposite end of the house from the other 2 bedrooms. Spring Lake offers a nice slow pace with restaurants including The Village Baker, Two Tony's, and Old Boy's. The bike path just up the street runs the length of the town and goes around Spring Lake. We booked here for a few nights and really enjoyed the stay. The house is well furnished and the owner is extremely responsive and friendly. The location in Spring Lake is tucked away and quiet with friendly neighbors and access to a small beach on Spring Lake along with a pair of kayaks. The house was nicely cleaned when we arrived. I'd be happy to stay here with the family again!
This is a great property and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything was as advertised. The house was super cute and had everything we needed for a week's stay. We would stay there again for sure!

Vacation trip to Spring Lake
This house needs cleaning inside & out. Fan in master bedroom was filthy. Spider webs all over. Back yard was a jungle full of mosquitoes. Private beach is not for renters to use. We used the other public beach & made the best of our trip.
We stayed for a long weekend at this cottage. It was just what we needed for a relaxing visit to Spring Lake. Close to beaches, church, and great restaurants. The Village Baker for breakfast one morning was a highlight of our trip! We also enjoyed cooking in and grilling too. Grand Haven State Park and walking the pier! We love The whole area!
Very nice and roomy. Well stocked with appliances and places to sit!! We totally enjoyed the backyard with the rock fountain! Friends from Canada, Ohio, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Spring Lake totally enjoyed the weekend and the very nice beach!
The rest of our family was actually staying on the lake with boats. If we didn't have that, we would not have stayed at this property. It was fine for the price. It really could stand a thorough cleaning, more than the Saturday afternoon housekeeping in between stays.
The house is just as pictured and very clean.
Pros: quiet neighborhood
plenty of room
lovely backyard
a/c was great
Cons: signage at the beach very anti rentals
front "yard" is a parking lot no seating
owner charged my visa over half of the security
deposit for repairs for damage we did not cause
no recourse through VRBO
The house had all the amenities listed and was in a great location. The owner was easy to communicate with. It does need to be deep cleaned though. Sheets, towels, beds, floors were fine it was deep cleaning items like dirty walls, spider webs on the walls, dirty baseboards, and dusty. It didn’t stop us from having fun, just giving feedback.
My family and I (spouse, kids & parents) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was clean and well appointed. The family room was the perfect place to unwind and watch a movie after a busy day at Michigan's Adventure. We loved that it wasn't a busy area but it was a super short drive to anything we wanted/needed. We struggled with the lock on arrival, but Rob was very responsive and had the issue resolved in no time. Rob was just quick call/text away anytime. Thanks, Rob! Keep up the great work!
It was noce lottle place to stay, however it was dirty when we arrived. We had to sweep the floorbefore we could bring in our food and suitcases. The dining room floor has a spot that needs seriois repair. Theres a bee nest that needs attention outside the master bath door. Overall, The cottage is a nice little place to stay, however with the cleaning fee cost, i had expected it to be clean. I have pics to show. Hopefully the floor and bee issue will be addressed before the next vacationers.

Nice location but needs a deep cleaning and repairs
The house reeks of mildew. Our clothes and belongings smelled even after returning home. There is an air freshener at the entryway to help with the smell.
Multiple spiders and webs in both bathroom’s.
Mold in both bathrooms in the showers. The master bathroom had very noticeable mold on the ceiling, and mold along the edging of the floor in both bathrooms.
The bathroom locks didn’t work for us, we all tried turning the knob on the pocket doors, however, the owner told us that they do lock.
No blinds on the entry way and back door windows. This made it very bright in the bedrooms with our doors open.
There’s a step up to the bedroom with twin beds which we all tripped on. There is a night light nearby but it didn’t help us.
The kitchen floor has a floorboard piece that needs to be replaced. The floor is also very noisy when walking on it. The owner did tell us that it is scheduled for repair.
This is a very basic rental unit. You’ll need to bring items such as soap for the showers, coffee for the Keurig, ziplock bags, foil, etc.
If you’re looking for a cabin type lake house feel that is overdue for a deep cleaning and repairs, this is a good house for you. It unfortunately wasn’t the type of house we’re used to renting.
Went for a long weekend and wanted to be by the beach but also spend time in Grand Rapids. We were able to do both. Enjoyed the paved bike trail nearby. The accommodations were perfect for two couples-the master bath was fabulous, the other bathroom was pretty small.
Owner was very responsive when I called with questions.
Would stay again if we were back in the area.
Great place to stay! Plenty of room! Had almost everything we needed. Could use a cleaning on the grill, since there is no oven. But really other then that, I would Highly recommend anyone to stay here. You have access to spring lake at the end of the road for a slow day, or Grand Haven a few miles away for a busy day. He has movies galore which was so cool for the kids on our rainy day!! We loved the area! Also there was another small beach around the corner, a new experience for us!! We appreciated Robs fast response to questions and his communication!
Short 15-20 min. Drive to Grand Haven. Explored the area, did a sunset cruise nearby, hit up a whitecaps game and of course the lake. Great house- loved the master shower and tub! Safe area. Would definitely stay again.
We were in town for a national bowling tournament. Rob was awesome in terms of communication. He responded to any message within minutes. The cottage had the perfect amount of space for the five of us. The shower in the master bath is mind blowing. Unfortunately we were in bowling centers all week so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors but we would definitely stay here again.
Great communication from Rob; we were able to choose our own entry code in advance of our stay. We were 3 adult women in town for a golf tournament at Spring Lake Country Club. We each had our own room and the 2 full baths was perfect. Beds were comfortable, the cottage was clean, well appointed and couldn’t have been more convenient to the golf course (and pickleball courts!). We already booked it for next year! Bring your own soap and shampoo for the showers.
As advertised, a cozy, comfortable cottage, nicely appointed with a fully-stocked kitchen. An easy walk to the private beach where the water was warm enough for swimming in mid-June. Locks on small bathroom doors do not work well and should be replaced with something more substantial. A few more laundry detergent pods would have been nice.
We really enjoyed our time in Spring Lake. The kayaks weren't there, neither was the propane-but when we texted Rob-he came right over
Super friendly. Easy check-in and out
Hist was very accommodating and made process smooth. Would recommend fixing door to deck platform so can walk directly out without having to cross wet grass in morning. Could also use screen in back bedroom window attached to bathroom. Otherwise things were exactly what we needed.thanks again.
