Spain Rd. Hamlet is located on eleven private acres by the river and shares it with the main house, the oldest Victorian house in Atlanta, circa 1834. The beautiful studio occupies the second story of the carriage house and has its own private everything including parking space. A balcony in the front and a large deck in the back overlooking beautiful rolling hills are the best places for a morning coffee. Old water oaks, pines and sweet gum trees sparsely populate the peaceful landscape. The guests are welcome to use the hammock, the swing chair, the basketball court, a ping pong table. This studio is a quiet retreat, away from hustle and bustle of the big city yet some 20 min. drive from Atlanta. It is 5-7 min. drive to Stone Mountain park and 3 min. drive to Yellow River park.

This was my second time staying at this property while I was visiting "back home". I see no need to ever stay anywhere else as long as this charming guest apartment is available. The hosts Vlad and Natalya have been gracious and very responsive both times, the property is beautiful and quiet and the space has everything you need. Includes a deck overlooking the acreage which is a great place to sit in the morning to get your day going and in the evening to listen to the sound of the sounds of the south. The only thing I would improve would be a better wifi connection in the room. Overall, a fantastic place, where I will continue to stay as long as it is available. Thank you Vlad and Natalya!
We came into town to visit family and attend a funeral. We enjoyed visiting with friends and family but also looked forward to coming back to this quiet getaway hamlet where we could reminisce of our beloved sister. After the long days, the hamlet proved to be a place where we could enjoy much needed peace and tranquility.
I booked this to find a quiet place to write and it was exactly that! The property was beautiful and serene, a perfect place to finish my trilogy. Thank you Vladimir and Natalya!
My husband and I absolutely loved it here. The property is clean, beautiful, peaceful and is located is a quite neighborhood. Vlad and Natalya were such sweet hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! We will definitely be back!
The location was very convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The accommodations were exactly as described. The host were very nice and attentive, checking in to see that we had everything we needed. Location was quiet and peaceful for relaxing after running around. We would definitely stay here again!
It’s a great little property, with its own park like backyard. It’s very picturesque...both inside and out. The owners went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of... can’t say enough good things about them!
The Snellville apartment is a lovely, peaceful place to stay. The apartment has been tastefully decorated with beautiful materials and the kitchen area is well equipped. The grounds are lovely and the hosts are very congenial and helpful. I highly recommend this property.
I'm in the area every month for a weekend long class. I've stayed in a few other places in the area and the carriage house is hands down my first choice. I'm there as a single woman and feel completely safe and comfortable.
I'm in the area one weekend a month for class and have stayed in several different places. The Hamlet is my favorite spot and I always feel lucky when it's available for the dates I need.
We absolutely loved staying in this Spanish Hamlet. Hosts left us an array of breakfast items. Very comfortable, immaculate, and very quiet. Will definitely be back.
The property was very relaxing, quiet and beautifully decorated. The property owners were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast items in the refrigerator were appreciated and the owners own honey was fantastic! Very beautiful grounds and countryside.
The property is wonderful. Overall, very charmingly decorated and not fussy; you can really feel at home while you are there. Private drive, deck overlooking a beautiful clearing where you can literally watch the deer play. Large bed is very comfortable, small kitchen very functional with a decent sized refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, stove top and some basic utensils (including pots and pans). Cute bathroom with a small but perfectly usable shower, and hot water is not a problem. In room air conditioner that is well suited to the size of the room and very quiet. Large tv but channel selection is somewhat limited. Very nice furniture with plenty of places to store your clothes and other items, and comfortable chair and loveseat seating. Wifi was a little spotty. I would mention that if stairs are a problem for you, this might not be the place as it is only accessible by stairs. The property hosts are very warm and friendly as well as quiet and respectful of your privacy. They also make some great honey from their own bees! Overall, there was nothing that I didn't like about the place and see no reason that I would stay anywhere else when I am back home for a visit.
Quiet retreat and great place to sit outside at night.
Comfy king size bed and private get away. Fridge was well stocked with fresh fruit and English muffins, orange juice, 1/2&1/2, cheese, eggs, the homeowner’s own honey.
Would have loved to had a little better communication with the homeowners before we arrived so we would know if the room would be unlocked or not and where to find the key as well as where we were to park our car.
We loved the hospitality of Vlad and Natalya. The character suite above the garage was perfect for us. We enjoyed the historical tour of the main house. Location is great and the surrounding parkland.
Incredibly friendly hosts makes this place feel like home. Beautifully decorated, clean and personal touches made my stay special. Would highly recommend for those looking for a quiet, clean place right outside the city.
The property was beautiful and very quiet and the suite above the garage was quiet, spacious and had a wonderful kitchen. The deck outside the suite was a beautiful place to sit and relax and enjoy the quietness of the property.
Excellent! Beautiful setting and excellent facility. We were highly impressed. We took pictures of deer in the clearing and found a very restful setting!
We could not have been happier with our stay! Beautiful home and property with amazing hospitality!

Idyllic Retreat
Wonderful spot, with beautiful grounds and several large forested parks close by. Hosts are so friendly and accommodating; they provided excellent breakfast supplies. The interior space is extremely well planned, comfortable, and tasteful. I want to recreate it in my own home! This will be one of the first places I check next time in Atlanta

Why they chose this property
Situated just 15 min away from the Perimeter our place is very well insulated from the urban concrete "jungle" of the big city. It is bordered on all sides with parks, river and acres of rolling hills. You will see a family of deer playing around in the morning or afternoon. You will be treated to our own honey and in season with plentiful Chanterelles picked up right here on the property. The deck in the back built around an old pine tree is overlooking the meadow and the woods with beautiful vistas in every direction. There's also a balcony overlooking the front of the property. Cable tv and internet will keep you company (should you get lost in space and time:) The house was the filming site for a 2015 horror movie - "Bleed" (no need to be scared, its all fantasy:) A Wine & Tour of the main Victorian house is available upon request at $15 a guest.
What makes this property unique
Vaulted ceilings with Tudor style faux beams, back deck, front balcony. A hammock, ping pong table, swinging chair by an old oak, a basketball court and the grill are at your disposal.
