House was great and the owner was very accommodating and allowed us to check a little early to give us time to get ready for a wedding that started at 3pm. The house was very clean and spacious. They even had a bottle of chilled wine on the bar top waiting for us when we arrived! Would stay here again anytime we are in the area.
We loved the house, and the view is amazing. You can sit in back, listen to the water and birds, and just relax.
We enjoyed floating in the provided tubes, and would have tried to catch a fish in the deeper water if my kids hadn't been splashing around in it.
Definitely recommend
We had an amazing stay at this very clean, beautiful home. From cooking in the well stocked kitchen to sitting on the balcony and listening to the river water and wildlife, to walking along the river, and soaking in the hot tub in the evenings. we had a very relaxing time!!

Beautiful stay!
Had a great end to our Spring Break! Kids loved the fishing just at the bottom of the stairs! House is perfect! Definitely will go back!
Beautiful well kept home on the river. Extremely clean and nicely decorated. Amazing views. We enjoyed staying here and definitely recommend Rio Bajo as your next getaway destination.
The house is on a beautiful lot above the river with easy access to the river, although steep. The views from the back sunroom and deck are awesome. The house was extremely clean and spacious. We had 7 adults and it was never crowded. The bedrooms are very large and the sunroom has two beds in it, as well.We visited during December for a wedding and said we would love to return in the summer for tubing. The property manager was very easy to deal with, graciously accommodated a special request we had and left a bottle of wine & a bag of popcorn for a welcome treat! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Excellent condition and very clean! This place had all the comforts of home.
We love this place! We didn't have to worry about anything we may have forgotten because this place had everything. We will absolutely and definitely be back. A 2 night stay is not long enough though. I would love this place for a week with my family. Best place on the river!
Lovely home with all of the necessity. Easy to find location and convenient to town. Enjoyed the hot tub at night and the beautiful view of the Guadalupe from the deck during the day. Fished and tubed each day. Wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back.

Very nice home.
Very nice big home. Big bedrooms, well appointed, great views from the back patio.
Not much water flowing late July. We really just used it as a place to sleep people for a family reunion. The Owners left ice cream and sodas for floats. Not sure if that is typical or just because the water level was low, but nice touch. Would definitely rent again.

30th Birthday Weekend
We had a wonderful stay at the Rio Bajo. Access to the river was wonderful, and the best spot we have been too as of yet. There is a wonderful tube Shute that provided a bit of rapids for our entertainment (kids must have went down it 100+ times) . The house was very clean and spacious, plenty of towels, bedding, toiletries, tubes, and some food. Only thing that could be better is we couldn't get the dishwasher to work, but well worth washing a few dishes. I would recommend this rental all day any day. Great for a big family!
Great location, fantastic communication from hosts
The host was THE best ever. Our family plans changed unexpectedly and they were able to accommodate, which meant a lot to us. Then there was the delightful welcome basket, incredibly clean house, and quick and helpful response to any of our questions. We stayed during an historic drought, so the river level was not high. However, it was still a beautiful view and we hiked along the river. We got our water fix by river tubing in Kerrville instead. There were some ants at night in the kitchen, but they let us have late checkout and I saw they had someone coming in to take care of the ants as we were on our way out. Oh and the location was perfect for us. Out of the way enough for us to feel the space was ours and ours alone, but close enough to a grocery store and gas station that any urgent needs (for ice cream) were quickly met.
The house is perfect for a family get together. We stayed here with three generations and everyone had a good time whether playing games, enjoying the views of the river, or warming up in the hot tub. The location worked great for us!
The hosts were amazing and so helpful! The house was beyond perfect! The location on the water was the best! The walk down is steep (and might need to be trimmed a little) but worth it and do able! (Even holding my baby) The view is amazing! The Sun room is great if you have a rainy day or need to get out of the Sun but still enjoy your time on the river! We had issues with the water heater and the host was so responsive and helpful. They made the experience even better! I was also very impressed with how clean the house was. I’ve stayed in a lot of rentals and the bigger they are the less clean the floors and whatnot are. Not here. It was spotless! Thank you for letting us stay! We hope to come back soon! (So sad we forgot to sign the guest book!)
There’s so much I’m forgetting to add but the high chair, books, towels, shoes, toys, essentials in the kitchen were all amazing and something you never get with rentals!
The place was great! Very clean and an overall amazing trip. Beds were nice and comfy, stocked kitchen, and a great view. Only sad part was how low the river was but of course you can’t control Mother Nature. Hope to book again next year !
House was perfect! Wad able to see the water. The town is small but everyone was so friendly. Dollar General around the corner if you needed anything. Close to winery's and Fredericksburg. Owners are friendly and responsive. Want to stay here in the summer so we will be able to get in the water.
Tim and Lori Brown and their two sons, Tanner and Parker have lived in the Kerrville area for over 35 years. Both boys were baptised in the Guadalupe River and their ties to the river and the hills around it run deep.
Why they chose this property
There are very few places on the Guadalupe with views and access like those of Rio Bajo.
What makes this property unique
There are easy "put in" and "take out" areas both upstream and downstream of the house for kayaks and tube adventures.
