Stayed with another family and 6 teenagers, they all had fun so it was a success! Perfect location for finding our adventures at Pictured Rocks and Marquette. Hot tub was nice and clean!
The house was perfect….We traveled to the area for my sons wedding. Several family members stayed with us and there was plenty of room for us all. The view of the lake was beautiful and one guest even brought her fishing pole. The outside spaces added to the spaciousness and offered several spaces to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful views.
We 've had the most wonderful stay. It's a nice property with stunning view. Clean and comfortable. We've got everything what we need. Perfect location and surroundings area allowed to visit a lot of places even with small children. Communication with hosts was quick and easy. We have had great experience!
The one thing that was bad about the stay was whatever was dead in the dumpster that was on the property in the front of the house. Every time you were in the front yard that was all you could smell and made you want to vomit! Other than that the house and location was great for trail riding and visiting with our daughter who lives in Marquette.
We only spent 2 nights and didn't get to utilize the property as we were off doing things. King bedroom very comfortable. Very expensive property with many rules. Well stocked. Asked to do more than usual upon check-in and check-out which was surprising for the cost. Housekeeping should be doing what we were asked to do. The photos on the website don't do it justice. Enjoyed out stay!
This home has absolutely everything you could want for a picturesque vacation. The backyard view alone is worth booking for. The property backs up to a pond that only a couple other houses have access to. The fire pit, gas fireplace, the benches that overlook the water and the hot tub are all so relaxing. In the morning grab a cup of coffee and head out to the rocking chairs on the upper deck, it's the perfect way to wake up. Everything about this place just feels like home. This property is great for families, a romantic getaeay or even a girls trip. It's located about 8 minutes from downtown Munising so you get the relaxing vibe without all the commotion of downtown. My husband and I are 1000% going to make this place a yearly must do.
We really enjoyed the house and the hot tub. It was a great place to connect with family over the holidays and enjoy the snow! We appreciated Ashley's flexibility about when we could get there and letting us check out a bit late.
This house is situated in a great place and close to everything. Its a beautiful property on the water. We will be renting this house again in the futurr.

House was very nice!
House was very nice, beds are memory foam, garage to park the sleds, and kitchen was full of everything you could possibly need. Hot tub was nice to come home to!
This is the 4th year we have rented this property for an annual snowmobile trip in Munising. The location is excellent and amenities in the house are great. Already booked again for 2024.
The property was fabulous and the owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was fun, memorable and hassle free! Beautiful home with fantastic view-can’t wait to return😍
Place was clean, had enough bathrooms, nice fire pit, dock was fun to fish off of, but didn't catch anything. Hot tub was a hit. Orv trails were nearby. Foggy's across the road had good steak.
Perfect Place
This house served as the perfect home base for a family trip. The house was immaculately clean, check in was easy as could be, and Ashley is very responsive if you have any questions or issues. We loved exploring the UP during the day and coming back to unwind and share dinner together in the afternoon. The pictures don’t even do it justice, the backyard is beautiful! We would absolutely stay here again.
Third time staying at this house for our snowmobile trip. The house was perfect once again, clean, great location, hot tub and comfortable beds. Ashley was very responsive and super helpful. Would highly recommend.
Furnace Lake was such a beautiful stay! From the quietness of the lake to the amazing renovations in the backyard! The house was very homey and more spacious than appears online. Overall this was a 10/10 for me and I will definitely be back!
The house was beautiful. It had plenty of space, the deck and outdoor space was good. The yard was nice for us and our dog. It was in a nice neighborhood to walk the dog, yet it was private also. Everything worked out great for us.
The owner was very responsive and even dealt with my silly questions. The place was amazing! Better than we imagined! We had our wedding reception here afterwards and the space accommodated everyone. It was very clean and such a nice area to chill and play board games. The view was extremely relaxing and beautiful. It was walking distance from a great restaurant and the casino.
Our friends and us plan on returning to this awesome property!!
The house is in an excellent location for trial riding and after trail ride food with a restaurant:bar in walking or if needed crawling distance.
We have returned to this location/house a number of times due to its location and amenities - hot tub, garage, large parking area and beautiful rooms throughout.
Recommend this house to anyone wanting t on your the UP.
Great location for snowmobiling in the U.P. Close to gas, food and easy access to the trail head. Tons of room for truck and trailer parking. Access to two car garage should you need to do any sled “repairs.”
The house was well stocked and held our group with ease.
We had a minor issue with the keypad access and Ashley had a maintenance guy on-site ASAP to repair it. Pleasure to deal with as a host.
Thanks!!!

Enjoyed our stay at Furnace Lake, Christmas, MI
Our family ( myself, spouse, adult son, adult daughter and husband) stayed a week here and had a great time. It is a good location, close to Pictured Rocks and Munising. Beautiful backyard deck, great for grilling and eating outside. Our son-in-law enjoyed fishing every am on Furnace lake with the canoe that was provided. The property was very clean, beds very comfortable. There was water in the basement on our arrival and property owners responded quickly and checked on status throughout our stay. Only suggestions would be to have more plates and bowls - place settings for only 4 people when the house can sleep 12. Also, the hot tub had issues. I wish we had known it worked for only 20 minutes and then wait another 15-20 minutes before it would go again. Our first call regarding this we were informed too many people in the hot tub (5). So the next night my husband checked it out and it quit if zero or three people in it. We were then informed it stops after 20 minutes and have to push the button again. We weren't told there had to be a wait in between, something we discovered after a lot of trial and error.

Better than advertised!
The pictures don't really do the house justice. It was obvious that Heather and David take pride in their vacation rental as soon as we walked in. The house was very clean, and had many nice unadvertised features. For instance, I was amazed at how padded and comfortable the carpet was, I could have slept on the floor!
The bed I slept in was very comfortable, and everyone else in my group commented about how comfortable their bed was as well. The wind seemed to mostly come from the south so I left the door in my room open for a great breeze during the night. I haven't slept that good in a long time!
A new dock and canoe must have been recently added as I didn't see them on the listing. The dock was nice for getting the canoe in and out of the lake. The lake itself is small but provides an amazing view out the french doors and windows, and is nice to just be out in the canoe on it.
Not that we spent much time watching television, but it was nice to have so many channels including some premium channels.
The house was perfect for our 12 guests.
The house is conveniently located within walking distance to a casino, restaurant, and gas station. The casino is small, maybe 75 slot machines and tables (Black Jack & Let it Ride); however the tables are only open Wednesday - Sunday after 4pm. I had pizza at the restaurant and can attest that is was good. Others in my party ordered various menu items, all of which they said were good. The gas station was open 24 hours which was very convenient for any late night needs.
There was plenty of things to do in Munising and the surrounding areas. We rented a pontoon boat and spent an entire day exploring the picture rocks and Grand Island. We spent other days visiting waterfalls, golfing, and just exploring all the great things see in the U.P.
He did have a minor issue with the hot tub and Heather came right over to troubleshoot it. It still worked and was hot, but the blowers would quit for a few hours a time. We were very happy with how responsive Heather was to come right over and take a look at it.
I highly recommend this rental. We will certainly rent here again when planning our next trip to the U.P.
Thank you David and Heather!
