My mom and I came down to Cape San Blas to release the ashes of my recently deceased step-father. He loved the beach, especially the Gulf/Old Florida area. As he wished, he is now floating in the ocean with Jesus. Jezus.
We love this area. Great place to go when you want a very slow pace and relaxed vacation. Was disappointed that the grill didn’t work and there are no other ones on the property. It was an electric grill. Bought charcoal and stuff to grill and we couldn’t. So wated a lot of money but other than that we love the place. Needs to be more towels put in the unit. There was only one towel per person for one day. When you stay 4 days you need more.
We enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of room. It was clean. The washer and dryer was grest for our beach towels. The location is great. It is on the Cape but not a long drive back to Port St Joe or to the Trading Post for supplies. The pool was great and just down our stairs. It is on the first floor too. The elevator was an added bonus especially for loading and unloading. We will definitely consider staying here again.
There was ongoing construction at the building. We woke to the sound of nail guns and banging hammers throughout the week. Our 3 year old was unable to take naps, due to the noise. She is autistic and highly schedule-oriented. There were some dirty dishes in the cabinets and drawers from previous guests. The toilets clogged fairly easily with just toilet paper. The grill was dirty and attempted to use it, but did not have proper items to clean it. Food all tasted like the burnt drippings and grease that was built up inside it. The sand gnats and flies were vicious after dark. No successful evening walks on the beach for our gang. Bug spray did not seem to help much. Aside from some cleaning oversights, the construction and some loud guests above our unit in 2D were the main complaints. Any ideas we had of kids taking naps and anyone sleeping-in were crushed by the abundance of noise. We have 4 children and 2 adults and everyone had a place to sleep because we brought a toddler mattress for our 3 year old from home.
The communication between Pristine Properties and me was very good. They would send me reminders, hints, and even the chance to rent beach equipment and save having to haul all of our stuff down there. The HOA had unexpectedly decided to renovate the exterior of the property and PP upgraded us to a condo with a better view and far from the noise. A roll down shade in a bedroom and the icemaker weren’t working. I mentioned this in passing and said we were fine and not to worry about it while we were there. The property manager called me back soon after and thanked me for the update. The maintenance crew came out anyway and fixed the shade and made a note to do something about the refrigerator after we checked out. So we had a quick response and I feel that we would have gotten even quicker responses if something major was wrong. We were very pleased with the renter and the condo. It was very clean and the view was great! It’s a pretty good hike to the beach but about 2/3+ is a nice boardwalk. The last third is tough, especially if you’re pulling wagons loaded down with gear and with little narrow wheels. I just pretended that I was in Ranger/Seal training for 65 year olds and made use of the benches at the end of the boardwalk to recover my oxygen deficit! We had fun and are definitely going to return. Plenty of places to eat in Port St. Joe and miles of beach to enjoy. And it’s not crowded or loud. Great place!
The rental company, Pristine Properties, did an excellent job. The condo was clean and cute. It was close to the beach. Our water heater stopped working, they were out within the hour to fix it! Would definitely rent from them again!
Our second stay in this complex in recent years and we love it

Lovely property... paid extra for heated pool. It never worked once the entire five dsys
Great property with good amenities. Pool issues never resolved. Recurring often enough it borders on false advertising to list it as a working Heater. Recurring complaint in h it’s in this building... would like to revisit if assured pool is heated but I could have saved by not choosing a heated pool
This was a great place for a beach vacation! Nice pool, beautiful beach.

NEEDS MAINTENANCE
We were unhappy with this rental and would not stay here again for three reasons:
1. The WiFi was not working and we could not get anyone to address this. We would have stayed somewhere else had we known. We needed to work during this time away.
2. The stairs off the back deck are in major need of repair. Rusty nails/broken boards...major liability.
3. We had no hot water for the first three days and the toilets leaked the entire time.
