I booked this place because after a 12 hr flight and an 18 hr day, I knew my back would be hurting and this place said they had a jacuzzi/jet tub. But it didn’t work!
I owed a balance on this apartment due the day I arrived. Of course, they wanted me to pay the balance. I dealt with a lady named Sophia who was wonderful. Greeted me upon arrival, showed me the ammenities, lighting and locks in the apartment. They wanted their money; I said fix the jet tub. Well, the owner or maintenance man, whatever he was, screamed and yelled in the background of the six-yes 6-phone calls Sophia made to me within a one hour period. I said “Fix the jet tub and I’ll pay you.” This man was angry and yelling in the background of every phone call poor Sophie made to me demanding payment. He (and Sophia) eventually came over and got the jet tub working. It didn’t just turn on. I had to switch a circuit breaker only while I was using the tub. There were no instructions, nor did Sophia tell me about this until I demanded they get it working. I am a single female and I was made to feel very UNCOMFORTABLE by this man. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. It’s clean, delightfully decorated, has some very nice art work, and is situated in a wonderful area, a block away from the Acropolis Museum, the subway and the Hop On Hop Off bus stop. There is a great restaurant next door (no noise what-so-ever) and a block away are at least four other eateries. It’s small but perfect!
The owner cancelled our booking 48 hours before landing while we were flying from the US, (phones silenced of course) then refused to answer our phone calls when we landed or explain what happened. While we did receive a refund, we were left in a terrible situation when we landed on his doorstep. He was unkind and unwilling to help us (after telling us he would pick us up at the airport). Fortunately, he has kind neighbors who were willing to help my 90 year old husband.
A shattered dream in a supposedly luxury apartment
Acropolis suites2 - Where else in Athens?
Overall a terrible experience because the flat was not convenient, electrics and air-conditioning failing and unhelpful host.
First of all, as soon as we've arrived at the property, the host, told us that we could not stay the first night in the apartment we originally booked, because the other guests were still there and staying one more night. We were, instead, told to stay the first night at an inferior poky apartment next door, which was very uncomfortable and we could not open up our suitcases or relax. Next day we moved to the apartment we've booked and all went from bad to worst. The "luxury" flat was small, and had no living room, as advertised in the description. The kitchen was tiny and the fixed table blocked everything. There is a single lounge chair, but we are two people! The air-conditioning kept failing, we were hot, and the flat smelled of old stale air resembling a locked up flat with a bit of mold. The host, did not respond for two days to 2-3 messages/calls about the failing aircondition. Lately his assistant, did help us with prompt service. The bathroom is not easy to use because the shower did not have a hook to hang above our heads. The lighting is everywhere, and so much of it, that it is too complicated. The plugs kept coming out of the sockets and we had a couple of power cuts due to the faulty/flimsy plugs and complicated electrical connections. The photos are excellent in the description but the reality is very different. The location is excellent but the host was terrible and unhelpful.

We had a great four night stay in this unit near the Acropolis metro station. The host was most accommodating and the unit was spacious, efficient and we'll appointed for a couple. The location was superb with close access to dinning, the Acropolis Museum as well as an entrance to the Acropolis. We would welcome the opportunity to stay in this unit again in the future.
Our host arranged an airport pick up. It was greatly appreciated. Friendly check in and check out. Great location. We walked most everywhere. Lots of restaurants close by. Be sure you have a drink downstairs at Hitchcock’s.
So amazing, perfect spot, so easy to get to everything in Athens, we'll definitely be using this spot again if we come back to Greece!

A Wonderful Slice of Athens
My wife and I stayed for a week in January 2019 and had a wonderful time. Dimitrios was a great host, giving us a tour both of the apartment and the neighborhood when we first arrived, having a welcoming box of pastries and a bottle of wine, and always being helpful during our stay (helping with directions, arranging a taxi to the airport on our way home, etc.)
The apartment itself is perfect for solo travelers or couples. The apartment was always warm and cozy, just the way you want it when you visit Athens in January. The location is the best of both worlds. It is very near the tourist areas, but also is in an area where there are plenty of locals. Makrigianni has a wonderful mix of restaurants and shops and there is so much to choose from you could stay a month, eat at a different restaurant every meal and STILL not go to the same place twice, oh and walk to each and every one of them.
The apartment is a nice modern remodeled space with interesting details and a lot of Athenian charm. The kitchen is well appointed and it is stocked with all the basics you need, as well as with tea and coffee for those early morning rituals.
Literally everything you need is within a 5 minute walk: metro, supermarket, corner shop, post office, etc. Oh, and the Acropolis Museum is right there, and the South Slopes entrance to the Acropolis itself is 5 minutes walk from your front door. The heart of the Plaka district, Temple of Olympian Zeus, and a good half dozen other museums and ancient sites are all within easy walking distance. You just cannot beat the location.
One note: It is definitely an urban neighborhood with all the sights and sounds that go with it. It is a lively area, and a safe and inviting one. In the evenings you can sometimes hear the music coming from the downstairs cocktail bar. We never found it disturbing, but if you are a very light sleeper if could be an issue.
We loved it here, and we loved Athens. This was our first visit to the city but it will not be the last, and we would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great place !!! Highly recommended !!!
Dimitrios was a wonderful host who helped with restaurant reservations and arranged taxi pickup from the airport and back.
The apartment was well equipped with everything needed to cook a meal and relax after a day of sightseeing which is easy from the short walking distance to all the major sightseeing in Athens.
The apartment was well equipped with specialized lighting features and my wife loved the Jacuzzi bath tub and the great comfortable bed for a wonderful night of sleep.
We will definitely go back there on our next trip to Awesome Athens!!!
Thank you Dimitrios ☺
