On Canal w/Dock, Private Pool, Great for Families, Wildlife, No Hurricane Damage

Watch local wildlife from the huge kitchen window or from the private dock. Private pool, solar heated (uses solar panels on the roof to heat the water, see detailed description below), screened in, has a table and chairs area, and canal view. In a quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac, walking distance to grocery stores, short drive to beautiful beaches and golf courses.

This is a custom built, split level home. Open concept and high ceilings throughout. The main level has a beautiful open floor plan, living room with new 50” HD Smart TV. Equipped with Wi-Fi and DirecTV satellite. Large kitchen with all appliances and fully stock with all the utensils and gadgets you’ll need. A center island with 3 barstools and a large picture window with gorgeous view of the canal. Dinning table seats 6. Also on the main level is a den, with a daybed, armoire, and french doors with frosted glass.

The 2nd floor consists solely of the primary suite, this makes it very private from the rest of the house. A large primary bedroom with 10 ft high ceilings has a California king size bed and a sitting area, 43” flat screen smart TV. Primary bathroom is large, custom tiled, soaking tub, separate toilet room. Shower has sitting bench and two shower heads. Walk-in closet, and two vanities. Whole house has instant hot water, no waiting for water to get hot.

Downstairs has 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunkbed with 2 twins. The guest bathroom has two doors to access from bedroom or from hallway. The mudroom is also downstairs, with access to the washer & dryer, and back deck where you'll find a small bbq and access to the backyard and dock/canal. You will have access to one garage spot with opener, and 2 additional parking spots in driveway.

Each room has its own mini-split air conditioner to adjust as needed for everyone’s comfort.
We also provide beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, sand toys and pool toys.

Canal is just off the Imperial River, which will take you right to the gulf!
Grocery stores close by include Publix and Fresh Market
Several golf courses close by, including Bonita Fairway which is within walking distance.
Bus line/trolley route 150 will take you directly to Lovers Key Beach, just a short walk to the stop.

Nearby is Bonita Public Beach, or Barefoot Beach State Preserve, view exotic birds, tortoises, and other local wildlife, beach combing or kayaking, you’ll find there is something for everyone. Many family friendly and upscale restaurants close by, our favorites are Coconut Jacks Waterfront Grille, and Doc’s Beach House.

Caretakers on-site; Since we live so far away (California) we have created a separate entry apartment above the RV garage for my in-laws to stay in while not on the road with a new adventure. They take care of the property for us and may be seen tending to the yard. They are also there to quickly respond to any emergency or if requested can assist you with questions about the area. They do not use the pool, so it is exclusively for your use only.

We do have a boat dock and you are welcome to bring a boat in, however there is no boat lift currently installed, and low tide can bring the water level down to as low as one foot.

Pool: The pool is heated by pumping the water through solar panels that are installed on the roof of the house, the sun heats the panels, which heat the water. This does a good job of heating up the pool in the winter to about 78-83. The temperature does depend on how sunny the weather is and how many days in a row of cloudy weather we have. If we have cold nights and several days in a row with no sun, then the pool temperature will drop. We use a cover to help keep the heat in at night. January is typically the coldest month here and the pool will be around 78 on average in January. It has been as low as 73 and as warm as 80 in January.

November average is 81, highest 85, lowest 75
December average is 80, highest 83, lowest 75
January average is 78, highest 80, lowest 73
February average is 82, highest 85, lowest 76
Any other time of the year the pool is kept around 83.

Check-in time is 3pm (an early check-in may be available if we do not have back-to-back guests, please enquire within two weeks of arrival date)
