Witness the wonder of the abundant local wildlife. Watch the dolphins, whales, turtles, manatees and other sea life from the comfort of the areas largest private beach deck. Utilize our beach chairs, umbrellas, BBQ grill, and array of fishing equipment, beach toys and bicycles to enjoy what Ormond-By-The-Sea has to offer.

Spend time spectating or taking part in various beach oriented action sports such as boogey boarding, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, kite surfing and propelled paragliding.

Experience all of this staying just a few steps away from the beach. We have first and second floors available. 2 bedroom, 1 Bathroom fully furnished Condos with full kitchens. Units consist of queen and full size beds with on site washer and dryer.

A short cruise down scenic A1A will bring you to the city of Daytona Beach which offers a more happening atmosphere for those who are interested. The greater Daytona area has something for everyone. You can rent anything from beach bikes, to segways, scooters, motorcycles and even boats. If that's not enough you can take an airboat ride, visit the pier and boardwalk, go to a minor league baseball game, and enjoy the well known Daytona night life.
There's always something to do in Daytona. It is the host city for major events such as Jeep Beach, The Turkey Rod Run, Speed Week, Bike Week, Biketoberfest, Spring Break and more.
If your looking for a different atmosphere, other cities are just a day trip away from Ormond. For instance the oldest US city, St. Augustine, is less than an hour drive north along A1A. Take the day and tour the historic fort and village and shop to your hearts content. Orlando is also approximately an hours drive and is home to world renowned theme parks such as Disney, Universal Studios, Wet and Wild, Lego Land and Busch Gardens. You may also head south to Cape Canaveral and take a tour of the NASA base and the surrounding area. Launches held at Kennedy Space Center can actually be seen from our private beach deck.
If you'd rather stay local there is tons of fishing to be done in Ormond. Even right from the beach. Fish are abundant here and it's common to catch fish such as Red Drum, Whiting, Snook, Tarpon, Blue Fish, and Grouper and much more!

With all these things to do and our laid back environment, I hope you'll consider a stay at the White Pelican.

The perfect getaway

Enjoyed the cleanliness, location, and the views. The property Manager was on point and responded back in a timely manner. The location was great and the astomphere around was extremely nice. I highly recommend staying at the White Pelican♥️ Can't wait to book here again.

Across the road from the beach

There was a pipe problem but the manager refunded my money and let me stay bc there was no where else available with the even going on. Really nice guy and everything was available for the beach across the road, chairs and coolers… not sure the pictures are 100% what you get but it was a quick weekend trip and we didn’t spend much time there.

All great things to say!

Plenty of room for five. Awesome views and the owner was way more then accommodating. Had everything one would want for the beach. Was their in case we had any questions. Even allowed us to store our jeep doors and such. Blown away! One bathroom was a little tough to work with considering 5 people but it was not enough to complain about with all the other accommodations.

Amazing Mini-Vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay in Ormond-by-the-Sea at the White Pelican! It was clean as a whistle, well-appointed, and convenient to everything! The only suggestion I have is possibly frosting the door glass or covering the windows somehow so we could more easily relax in the living area at night. We appreciate all of the conveniences that were offered to us to use for free. Great host!! We will definitely be back!

Short stay

The property manager was excellent aas were the people on sitr....however upon entry to property I noted bothe the bathroom door and a bedroom door were in states os disrepair. Although clean inside it was sparse with furnitue and the master bedroom bed was not attached the hesdboard and made noise when you moved in bed. Views were pretty but the street to cross was extremely busy and scsry at times. I loved being able to have me pet but outside bathroom resources were likited and difficult to locate any place to walk said pet...except private properties. Since dogs are not allowed on beach this made it a challenge when we were able to get to beach...this I realize is no fault of owners or property management. Also had to leave 2 days into a week stay due to sudden deathnof my fsther in law....again property manager was understanding and helpful.....but no restitution of funds were offered and no attempt made to transfer this payment towards another vacstion in the future. I honestly didn't expect much of a refund but considering the circumstances and our ability to provide a death certificate if requested...never was.....I felt some monetary reimbursement would be offered.

Perfect for our family

If you're looking for a nice, quiet spot at a low key beach for an amazing price, then look no further. This place is steps from the beach with all the beach toys and chairs you might need on site. Condo is super clean with towels, linens, and kitchen tools. Davis was so helpful and nice which made the stay that much better.

Perfect size & location for the 2 of us and pupper.

The beach chairs were not great, some were broken or too large to carry. The ones that were good were taken by first come first serve. All and all it was a good experience and would go back again.

What a wonderful condo!

We loved the beach closeness, the decorated condo, the wonderfully appointed kitchen and nlast but not least the owner's thoughtfulness. He actually made sure we were safe and had the lights turned on before we arrived in the evening. Very good stay: quiet and very clean we havd a wonderful experience. Thank you Davis, you are a great host.

Casual, clean and had plenty of supplies for daily living use. Pet friendly, plenty of outdoor chairs, toys, etc supplied along with free washer and dryer use. Owner and his cleaning lady are great people.

Very clean and great location

Very nice place inside and out. Great location for us. Quiet and restful. I would have liked at least one trash bag left in the trash can. I left one on our way out. There was toilet paper in bathroom so that was good. They have EVERYTHING else you could want at the beach. We only used 2 beach chairs but if we had wanted umbrellas, bikes etc. they were there. A little brighter light bulbs would be nice for those of us that like to read at night. If they will let us, we will be back.

It was full of what you would normally bring to the beach. Just bring yourself and food. Coolers are there hill is there kayaks. Fishing poles chairs umbrellas you name it it the most courteous place you will ever stay

Close but far away.

We were pleased with not only the location of the unit in relation to populated areas but the proximity to the beach was actually the same as if we were beachside in a condo. A little noisier during the day with the highway traffic but after the sun went down we were able to hear the waves crashing and kept the windows up at bedtime and could hear them as we went to sleep. Priceless. We were comfortable in the unit and had plenty of room for the three of us and two couples would do just fine. We were upstairs and enjoyed the view from our unit. A couple of comfortable bar stools to sit on would be a good addition to view the view. We flew down and rented a car so we were a little concerned about having all of the things we needed to have fun at the beach. No worries, literally everything was available to us. I rode the bike a few times and had my eye on the kayaks but not have a way to transport them to the intercostal waters. We used the grill also. Beds were comfortable, unit was well maintained . We are in our 60's and thought there should be some more lighting options than the overhead ones in the living room area. A couple of floor lamps with 100 watt bulbs would be awesome. Owner was on sight several times and was available to answer any questions and help with whatever we needed. We thought there was good value in what we paid for the 6 nights and seven days. We would definitely return.

Snowbirds in Training

My wife and I started to visit Ormond Beach a couple of years ago on my annual week work vacation to escape at least a part of the harsh New England winters. We fell in love with the area and the proximity to the beach, golf courses, theaters and restaurants, as well as to the homes of our retired snowbird friends. I was recently forced into retirement due to medical reasons so my wife and I decided to get a taste of an extended winter stay with an eye on maybe looking for a permanent residence in the future if we enjoyed it. We were so fortunate to find Davis and his property the " White Pelican " in the quiet community of Ormond by the Sea on VRBO. Davis quickly responded to our questions about accommodations and information about local places to visit and things to do. His relaxed demeanor invited more questions and he did not rush to end the conversation until my inquiries were satisfied. Despite not getting the exact dates we requested (mid January to mid February) because of the popularity with his repeat clients we were fortunate to secure a second floor unit for the entire month of January to get our foot in the door if we wanted to repeat our visit in the future. So we secured our reservation and spent the summer and fall nervously anticipating our first extended time away from home and the grandchildren. We drove from Massachusetts to Florida for the first time to celebrate New Year's Eve in Daytona Beach. As we anxiously drove down A1A to see our home away from home anxiousness turned to excitement as we pulled in and saw the buildings front yard decorated with comfortable lawn furniture and it's proximity to the beach. The interior of our unit was simple and well appointed with all the comforts of home and we easily settled in. We met Davis the same night and that same relaxed demeanor made us comfortable as he described everything available to us (laundry, outdoor grill, beach chairs etc.) and he stressed the point to contact him if we had any questions. While we were here we enjoyed the beautiful weather and the beach, playing golf at beautiful local courses, enjoyable plays at the local theaters and great food and drink at local establishments. We enjoyed visits to Flagler Beach, Palm Coast and St. Augustine all within a reasonable driving distance. Needless to say there was no hesitation to secure next years stay with an emphasis on extending it if the opportunity presents itself. This was relaxing memorable experience. Thanks again Davis.
