Ski home to this Mountain Modern Chalet with hot tub, sauna & game room
One of Stowe's original ski chalets was reinvented in 2017 as a sleek, modern vacation home. The quartz, brick, glass and wood elements were preserved while the aesthetic and comfort were improved and luxury amenities incorporated. Radiant concrete floors flow from the entry to the gear room (full array of boot dryers), laundry, sauna, billiards room and game/tv room. Outside is a large hot tub with a private perch overlooking the surrounding forest. Upstairs, the commanding 3-sided brick fireplace warms the living and dining rooms with a view into the family room and kitchen. The master wing has an en suite bath with walk in shower. Off the living room, the guest wing has three bedrooms and baths, all newly appointed. Guests can catch the free shuttle to the village or the slopes - you can even ski back to the Toll House lift area, just a short walk across the street from the home. This is a one-of-a-kind Stowe vacation home new to the rental market!

Hi! I'm Alison Beckwith, the owner of Beckwith Real Estate & Rentals. For 15 years, our mission has been to provide owners and guests with extraordinary personalized service, representing a select inventory of luxury rental properties in Stowe. Stowe has been my home for 22 years, raising 4 kids along with a myriad of pets (which over the years included 2 donkeys, a pony, ducks, chickens, a rabbit, 2 dogs and a cat). I enjoy hosting our visitors from all over the world and welcoming them to our wonderful ski town.
Why they chose this property
The owners of Mountain Modern were Beckwith Rentals guests who spent 5 winter seasons visiting before deciding to establish more permanent roots in Stowe. The home they purchased had been in one family for over 50 years and the new owners loved the proximity to the ski slopes but also the retro ski chalet vibe of the house. They undertook a whole-house renovation to update the home while adding a sauna and gear room on the lower level, along with a game room for their teen kids. It's a warm and welcoming modern ski chalet.
What makes this property unique
Situated on the Mountain Rd, you can ski back to the house (with a short walk from across the street), or hop on the free Mountain Rd shuttle to the slopes or Stowe village.
