Charming Bungalow in Lower Rattlesnake, Close to Downtown & Trails

This charming four bedroom, three bathroom bungalow is nestled in a green oasis right next to downtown, the University of Montana, and easy access to the extensive Missoula trail systems.
Features three complete bedrooms, a fourth bedroom with a pull-out futon, and a pull-out couch in the downstairs living room. Three full baths with showers, towels, and basic shower supplies.
The open kitchen is fully equipped and has stainless appliances, microwave, toaster and toaster oven, coffee press & more. Air-conditioning for summer comfort and the ambiance of a gas fireplace for the colder months of the year.
There is a TV downstairs with XBox for playing DVDs. Sorry, no cable/dish.
The lovely front yard has large shade trees, deck table and chairs, and sometimes even a hammock. A BBQ is available so you can get your grill on and a fire pit to create a low-key summer evening gathering. This all makes for a great setting for a summer family gathering, vacation get away, or summer/winter adventure base.
Easy access to downtown or the university, as well as the recreational areas, makes this residence the perfect stopping place with all the comforts of home at a reasonable price for character and unbeatable location!

Great location and plenty of room

This house was exactly as listed. Excellent location close to campus. We were able to walk over to the football game. The 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms were great for our party. There were plenty of places to sit down in the living room. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable close to everything!

The owner, Wyatt, is very nice and great to work with. His 4BR home is comfortable and clean with all amenities our 4 couples needed. The neighborhood is quiet and extremely close to downtown and the UM campus. We'll be back!

Best rental ever!

We’ve rented many places for vacations during the last 20 years and this was one of the very best. So well equipped- we really didn’t need anything. Very clean and comfortable. Much more spacious than I anticipated.

My daughter and her family( eighteen years old twins and husband) enjoyed their stay, visiting her brother's family in Missoula. My wife and I unfortunately couldn't attend. My daughter's family loved the house and visiting the Rattlesnake Creek area. Ideal trip for them, missed by us. Maybe next time!

Uniquely Lovely

The home is quiet & feels secluded. The peaceful front porch, perfect for your morning coffee and watching the dog play in the fenced yard. Short walk to the 'Press Box' for Bloody Marys and a delicious breakfast. We will definitely rent this home again for the next family wedding!

This property is awesome! Beautiful views of the river and mountains. Enjoyed the porch with coffee to watch the sunrise. It was clean and well decorated. Great location for visiting Yellowstone through the North Entrance. The host was very communicative and helpful during our stay.

Great location, plenty of room

The location of this property is great... easy walking distance to trails and I enjoyed my morning walks through Greenough Park immensely - even saw 5 bears one morning! No worries, they were far enough away to not be worrisome. Location is also very close to U of M, downtown and easy access to interstate. There were plenty of towels and linens and kitchen was well-stocked. Only complaint was lighting in the kitchen (too dark), but owner said he would address this. Communication with owner was easy and quick. Thanks for the stay!

Perfect place to stay to visit UM and Missoula!

My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property in Missoula. Plenty of room, great decor, very comfortable beds (loved the bedding), fully stocked kitchen and linen closets too! The best part was being able to walk everywhere! We hiked up to the “L” and the “M” on nearby mountain sides, got to campus easily, and over to the “hip strip” in no time; all less than one mile from the house. It was too easy to get to bakeries and and pastry shops! The host was welcoming and non-intrusive. The place felt like it was ours for the month we were there. I have stayed in many vacation rentals in the U.S. and this is by far one of the best. Thanks for a great visit!

Cute Missoula House

Loved sitting outside on the porch swing! The house was clean and close to town, lots of room for friends and family. Our dog enjoyed the large fenced yard as well.

Relaxing in Missoula

Quiet neighborhood a short drive to downtown, University and the nearby Rattlesnake Recreation Area. Layout was good with 4 separate bedrooms and two TV watching areas if you want to spread out. Enjoyed a long hike at Rattlesnake, and restaurants and shopping downtown were good.

Summertime in Missoula

I loved this VRBO. We drive out every summer from Milwaukee with our two dogs to visit our daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this bungalow. My favorite place to relax was on the beautiful front porch. The house was clean, air-conditioned ,quiet.and close to everything. We would definitely stay again!

In town for our daughter’s wedding. The location was fabulous, easy assess to hiking and biking trails. We spent much of our days and evenings outside with the dogs on the porch and in the yard. For summer visitors, we recommend Pangea rafting and food trucks at Caras Park on Thursday nights. Great place to stay in Missoula.

We are two brothers who co-own our house. Our jobs require us to travel a good portion of the time. This property was recently purchased as home base. We grew up in the Missoula Valley and our family and friends are here. Collectively, we have lived in Bozeman, Portland, and China for the last 10 years.

Why they chose this property

We found this property after a tough search and many house viewings.
We'd almost settled for a couple of others but this one pulled together all the criteria we were looking for with its easy access to town and biking trails, as well as as some of my favorite breweries, while still maintaining that quiet neighborhood feel.
Inside, it had been updated and remodeled with vaulted ceilings and open living spaces reminiscent of our family home. The front yard with large shade trees and outdoor living spaces welcome anyone to come in the gate to sit in the yard or on the porch. All these pieces come together to form a complete package we are very content with, we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

Ultimately what makes this house unique for us is the easy comfort and unbeatable location. The house is open, friendly, and inviting; the spaces are ideal for gatherings and offers all the comforts of home. The location is top notch, being so close to the cultural centers of town while being located in a quite neighborhood near miles of trails.
