I tried to contact the owner the Tuesday before our Friday arrival, and they never responded. I tried contacting the owner as we were on our way to the property with no response. I had to call Customer Support at VRBO to get a cancellation and a refund. I’m not sure what’s going on with the owners as their previous reviews were positive. I hope they are ok.
The home is lovely and homey. Even though it is close to a highway, we did not notice much road noise. It was quiet inside. The bed we slept in had a memory foam mattress and was very comfortable. In the kitchen, we found everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Amy is very sweet and quick to respond if you need anything.

Loved the property. I will be back. Owner was communicative and great. I will be back!
This was our third stay at this property this football season and we were very pleased once again. Since we had just stayed there less than a month ago, we asked Amy if we could leave some of our non-perishable groceries until we came back. She said that would be no problem and we we got there, she had a bag of our stuff waiting for us in the fridge.
We had a great time and look forward to staying there next season when we come up for football games.
We had a great stay at this house while in town to watch a UGA football game. It’s just outside of town so it’s quiet and a short drive to either downtown Monroe or Athens. Amy (owner) made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. This was our second stay this football season and we’re heading back for another stay next month.
Needed a place reasonably priced and convenient to Athens for game day. This place fit the bill. Stayed 2 nights. Private and quiet. Larger interior than expected. Comfortable beds. Saw some deer in back yard. Would stay again.
A quiet and easy stay. Had everything needed for a couple nights. Very convenient to stay local rather than commute from Athens to be in the Monroe area. Will stay again.
We spent Christmas at this quant little house and had a wonderful time. Amy had the house decorated for the holiday which was a wonderful surprise. Looking out the kitchen window you could see the cows in the pasture which was delightful. Kitchen had everything I needed to make Christmas dinner. The location is perfect especially if you want to take a trip to Athens or Fort Yargo. Would definitely stay at this location again.
This was a nice, comfortable place out in rural Georgia. It was clean, it smelled nice, and very quiet. Amy’s dog Maya was greeted us with enthusiasm!
Fort Yargo state park is 20 minutes north, and Athens is 20 minutes east. Both have great hiking trails, which is what we wanted for our winter break from Florida’s heat.
We would visit again!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Needs some TLC
*Minimum 1 day in between guests was not adhered to. The prior guests left the morning of our check in day per email from property manager
*No top sheet, crusty spots on red fitted sheet in master.
*Does not feel comforting given the COVID issues that the sheets do not smell or seem fresh.
*Power to master bed and bath were being fixed when we arrived (electricians were inside the home at check in)
*Back sliding door doesn't lock only has security wood plank at the bottom.
*unruly bushes intruding over front porch with steps that were very rickety
*owner of property was friendly but seemed rushed
*2 FROGS INSIDE and multiple frogs outside on windows and sliding glass door.
*Very dark outside porch light doesn't put off much light (green bulb)
Amy, a kind and sweet host, met us at the home where she was making sure everything was in order for our stay. We were guests from February 3-14, 2020. We found it very comfortable and supplied with everything needed. A washer and dryer was included which was very helpful. The rear deck was nice, but the February weather (rain and snow) prevented its use. All in all we had a great stay!

We enjoyed staying at this property. There was a lot of room, and the kitchen was full size for us to cook meals. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Mia (the puppy) was an enthusiastic greeter!!
