This was our first time to Charleston and this beautiful place was in the perfect location. Walking distance to amazing restaurants and shopping. The place itself was super cozy and the private courtyard made you feel like you had your own private secluded quiet space. Host was very nice and accommodating. We will be back soon!
Everything about our stay was excellent. The apartment was very clean and the perfect location right in the middle of king st. Would definitely stay again.
This cute apartment was located in a busy area but was so quiet. The bed was comfortable, the little kitchen was well equipped, and the AC worked great. Communication with the owner was easy.
4th time staying in this location and it is our favorite.

Location is walkable to restaurants & shopping
We booked for a whole week. It’s a nice cozy place in a bustling part of King Street. Parking is $18/day and a block & a half away-bummer with rolling luggage. Confusing instructions to get to a set of 3 keys to get through multiple gates. Inside was mostly fine but we didn’t use the unkept courtyard as we had hoped to. Walkable to little shops, liquor stores, restaurants. It’s a younger area of Charleston - we are late 50’s. Lots of college students. Nice place for a weekend stay.
My husband planned my birthday trip and booked this location- it was perfect! We were in the heart of King street within walking distance of food, drinks
& boutiques. The only place we needed to take an Uber to was on the intercoastal and it was less than 10 minutes away. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Especially with the extreme summer heat, the AC worked perfectly. Highly recommend for a couples getaway; we plan on reserving this location every time we visit. The owners were very responsive to any and all of our questions. Had it not been so hot we would have been able to utilize the outdoor courtyard, which is very shaded! We had a great experience.
We enjoyed our stay very much. You cannot beat the location. It is within walking distance to anything in downtown Charleston. The outdoor courtyard was a nice place to enjoy some outdoor privacy in a hopping downtown location.
Great location on King St. Near beautiful College of Charleston campus. Apartment is impeccable and as nice as the photos depict. Completely quiet. Parking is conveniently nearby.
Only downsides, parking costs $18/day but with going in and out of the lot will average closer to $25 and the courtyard could use a little sprucing up. Otherwise a great value. We'd be happy to stay at this apartment any time we come to Charleston!
Wonderful 1 BR condo just off King St. In the middle of all the shops, restaurants etc. Very clean, beautifully decorated, quiet at night, just perfect. We'll rent here again for sure.
What a perfect spot for my husband & I to enjoy time in Charleston while we did our annual retreat! Ashley has a beautiful space, tucked just off King Street, in the heart of downtown! It was quiet, elegantly appointed and spotless! Plus we were in the midst of all the hot spots for shopping and dining! We are already planning our return!
We would give this property 5+ stars if we could. The owner was so very accommodating and easy to contact. The accommodations were just as pictured and had everything we needed. The location. Was perfect and within walking distance of all the restaurants and sites we wanted to visit. We would highly recommend this property!!
Fabulous little apartment in a great location in downtown Charleston. Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, perfect for two people, Great shower, comfortable bed, very private and cozy. Ashley is a super host and has thought of everything to make 344 and a half King St. a wonderful rental. Would definitely stay there again.
This place has a King St address but is set in the back so that I didn't even know it while nestled inside. The decor is tasteful and the apartment had everything I needed. Perfect size for a couple or traveling solo - as I was.
My husband and I loved this property. The location was great. Entrance was on King street but behind a quiet business. You passed through 2 locked iron lattice gates to get to the property entrance. Walking distance to everything; we didn’t rent a car or even take an Uber except to and from the airport. Starting point for the historical tours is a short walk away.
Ashley texted us just to make sure we arrived and everything was ok.
The property was updated but still had a lot of character. The courtyard out back was nice. I only sat out there the first day because it was cooler the 2nd two days we were there and it’s shaded. In warmer weather it would be perfect. The property was stocked with everything we needed soap, shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, laundry detergent (I have stayed at a VRBO property that didn’t even have hand soap so I appreciated this).
Overall we loved the property and location and would stay there again.
The property is in a great location accessed via a series of gates directly from an entrance on King St, it is within walking distance to pretty much everything, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. Inside it is small but well kept with an updated kitchen and bath as we as large TVs with good streaming services and WiFi. Being located where it is there is some street and people noise but overall a comfortable place for a weekend getaway.
Right on King Street with all the shopping and restaurants, but tucked behind all the bustle and noise, this cute apartment was perfect! The bed was soooo comfortable. Everything was provided, from paper products and shower needs to laundry/dishwasher detergent and kcups. We were able to walk to almost every place we wanted to visit, taking only a few Ubers for attractions outside of downtown. I wouldn’t recommend a car at all as it would be a bother with parking so tight in the entire downtown area. The kitchen has the basics for meal prep, so we ate out just once a day. We had our groceries delivered from Harris Teeter when we arrived, meeting the shopper at the locked gate. Highly recommended for single or couple.
Loved this sweet little spot in Charleston. Even though the property is on King Street, the apartment is tucked away off the main road and very quiet. We especially enjoyed the private patio in the back. Clean, quiet, perfect size, very comfortable bed, and just steps away from amazing shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. Highly recommend!
