Spent 2 nights with 2 adults and 1 toddler. Overall loved the stay. Deducted 1 star as there was no laundry facilities on the property and there was no extra trash can bags. Great location, great views, and comfy.
Very clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is very quiet. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and loved sitting at the water enjoying the view. Would definitely stay here again!
Out son just moved to the island and lives very close to this property. It was very convenient for the grandkids to walk up and visit anytime. Yhe property has everything you need and more. Thank you.
We loved our stay and would definitely return. We enjoyed sitting out by the water and the amazing views out the water side picture window. The 2nd bedroom's bed was uncomfortable and not study enough for adults. The room is fine for kids just not adults. The frame squeaked and moved every time you made the slightest movement. In addition, the mattress slopped inward. Purchasing a different bedframe and mattress would make it more of a room for adults as well. Also, the neighborhood is great and very quiet! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Cute cottage, well maintained, comfortable homey feeling. Kitchen well equipped, water supply adequate, view outstanding. We saw a pod of whales, eagles, deer and rabbits. Very quiet neighborhood with easy access to most everything. Don't miss the Saturday "Farmers Market" on Bayview Rd. (10-2)!
Stunning views day and night from this ocean front cottage. Well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Very responsive and helpful owner. Nice linens (a rarity in rentals)! We will come back. A++
We love this property! The location is perfect- whether we’re kayaking or watching a winter storm on the Sound. The house is clean & well stocked. We’ll definitely book again.
We would definitely stay again. Best view of anywhere I’ve stayed on Columbia Beach. Clean, simple and inviting house. My only feedback is that the pillows and mattresses desperately need to be replaced. Be sure to check out Skein and Tipple, the new cocktail bar nearby. Also sells hand dyed yarn during the daytime hours.
This is our second time staying at the Beach Cabin. We grew up going to my Grandma's cabin on Whidbey Island and this provides some much-needed nostalgia.
The location couldn't be any better. It's so close to the Clinton ferry dock, you could walk to the house from there. It's a short drive to Langley, and only 30-40 minutes from places like Fort Casey and Coupeville.
The house is great. It has everything that you need. It's very clean and the furniture has been updated since our last stay. My wife wants me to duplicate the bed in the master because it's so comfortable. Can't wait to stay here again!
Small cozy cabin right on the water.our toddler loved the buckets to play with outside in the sand any Grandma said the master bed was comfortable. The bed in the 2nd bedroom wasn’t comfortable for an adult but a kid would have been fine sleep on it. Most of the island lost power during our trip but we still had running water and a flash light.
This home is absolutely amazing, so clean and everything you could dream of in the kitchen. I loved that you walk right out to the beach. The neighbors were all friendly. The view although no sunsets you do get the glow and the sunrises are spectacular.
We loved our time watching the ferries, playing in the sand and having a couple fires on the bulkhead. The location was great, the house was exactly as described and we thoroughly enjoyed our mini getaway. The view from the back bedroom (and the bed itself) was sublime! Why get out of bed when you can lay there and enjoy the views!
Beautiful location and property. Spectacular view is water and mountains. Saw whales from the big picture window!. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Owner/property manager answered all questions promptly. We had a lovely time and hope to return.
Perfect location- loved direct access to beach & view of ferries! We kayaked from front yard. House was thoughtfully stocked & tastefully furnished (very cold upon arrival as heat was completely turned off, but warmed up- space heater would have been nice in bathroom).
Would stay here again & highly recommend to others!
My best friend and I were surprised with a weekend away for our birthdays. We arrived on Friday afternoon, only to realize that the power was out on the entire weekend. This little cabin had the most amazing view, so we lit some candles for light and moved the couch in front of the large windows, snuggled up in blankets, and watched the ferries go by all evening. Perfect cozy getaway!
The owners checked in periodically to make sure we were ok and sent updates on the power outage.
We had perfect fall weather, visited a winery, ate lunch in Langley and enjoyed every last min of our amazing weekend.
Nice cabin. Not super fancy, but very adequate. Clean, well supplied, good instructions, exceptionally beautiful view, quiet. We could walk on the beach, or walk down the road or drive to other beautiful beaches. It was covid time so we brought all our own food. There was some food available in Clinton but much more further in the island. Nice place. Good time.

About the host

Our house has been in our family for over 60 years and has a unique history of how it came to be here. Our grandfather actually floated this bungalow house up on a barge onto the beach in 1958 , when Seattle’s ship canal bridge was being built, thus saving the home from destruction. Our own extended families have enjoyed this cabin over the years and now we have decided to make it available to others to use.
What makes this property unique
Enjoy 180-degree views of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. Sit out on the beach and watch the show of ferries, boats, ships and wildlife. Build a fire at sunset in the fire pit, dig clams at low tide and take nice long walks on the beach!
